Abstract

Motorcycle theft cases are increasing lately. However, the level of successful case disclosure by the police is classified as minimal. One of the reasons is the difficulty of the investigating team to locate the stolen vehicle. One solution that can be done is to install a tracker on a motorcycle. With the development of technology, we can use GPS devices as a tool to track vehicles from theft. The general objective of this research is to reduce the crime rate of motorcycle theft that currently occurs in Indonesia. The specific design objectives are: (1). Facilitate the security apparatus (2). Eliminate public anxiety about motorbike theft cases. For that we need a better security system as a safety for motor vehicles. This tool is equipped with features or services that support services on motorbikes, namely: SMS / SMS Gateway/ SIM800L Module, ATMega328 Microcontroller, GPS (Global Positioning System) Module, and other supporting devices. This tool is connected to an Android device with a GPS tracking system by showing the location of the missing motor vehicle. It is hoped that this security system design can increase the level of security and reduce cases of theft in motor vehicles. This system has also been tested on motorbikes with good results.

Abstract

AbstractAbstract. This study aims to determine the effect of optimal physical properties and microstructure on particleboard samples. The percentage variations of cocoa pod peel powder mixture, styrofoam with epoxy resin adhesive were sample A (69:0:30), sample B (68:2:30), sample C (67:3:30), and sample D (66:4:30). 6:30). The materials were compressed were a hot press and a conditioning time of 14 days. sThe most optimum particleboard sample was found in sample B with values of density, moisture content, and thickness expansion, respectively 0,80 g/cm2, 7,74%, and 9,32%, and met the standards of SNI 03-2105- 2006. The surface shape of the particle board morphology in sample B shows the composition of the material with the adhesive binding optimally so that there are very few empty spaces or cavities. Keywords: cocoa pod husk powder, styrofoam, particle board, epoxy resin.

Abstract

Research Hydroponic plants are an alternative solution for urban communities so that they can grow crops at home and do not require large areas of land. However, hydroponic farmers sometimes find it difficult to improve plant quality because they are busy and do not have time to take care of the condition of the plants. Therefore, an automatic system was designed to improve the quality of hydroponic plants. The test results show that this tool is able to control pH levels, namely when the pH is too acidic, the base pH pump will turn ON to normal, when the pH is too base, the acid pump will turn on to normal. To control nutrient solids, namely when nutrients are reduced, the nutrient pump will be ON and when there is excess the water pump will be ON to neutralize it as needed by the plant every week, controlling day and night conditions, namely during the day the system will work to drain the plants and at night the hydroponic irrigation will stop for efficiency tool, and all sensor values are displayed through the LCD which monitoring the activity of the tool. Therefore, from the system that has been designed, the tool is able to work automatically on the application of automation hydroponic planting system based on acidity, nutrient concentration and lighting.

Abstract

Research has been carried out on "The effect of increasing the volume of the solution of star fruit juice and key orange juice on the pH value, electrical properties and changes in electrode mass". This study aims to determine the effect of volume variations of starfruit juice and key oranges (0%:100%, 25%:75%, 50%:50%, 75%:25% and 100%:0%) on the pH value, voltage, current, and electric power, to determine the decrease in voltage and electric current due to the loading of the red LED lamp for 1 hour and to determine the change in the mass of the Cu-Zn electrode for 1 hour. This research was carried out with the working principle of a voltaic cell using a pair of Cu-Zn electrodes as anode and cathode connected in series. The measurement results obtained that the best sample variation is in the 100% variation of starfruit juice with a total volume of 300 ml resulting in the values of pH, voltage, current, and electric power of (2.2; 1.73 V; 1.05 mA, respectively). ; and 1.81 mW), while for the lowest sample variation, there is a variation of 100% key orange juice with a volume of 300 ml producing the values of pH, voltage, current, and electric power, respectively (2.8; 1.64 V; 0, 99 mA and 1.62 mW). The more variations in the volume of the key orange juice, the better the voltage, current and electric power. As for the test results, the loading of the red LED lights causes a decrease in voltage and electric current for 1 hour, so the longer the loading time, the dimmer the lights. Furthermore, for 1 hour the voltaic cell reaction took place, resulting in a change in the mass of the Cu-Zn electrode where the mass of the Cu electrode increased and Zn decreased. Keywords: Starfruit, key oranges, pH, electricity

Abstract

Research has been done to application of automation planting system at green house in improving plant quality which aims to help facilitate the work of farmers and get maximum crop yields. In this case Green House is simulated using acrylic boards with an area of 80 cm × 50 cm × 50 cm. The component used to detect temperature and humidity is the DHT 11 sensor. The air temperature and humidity control system is carried out by fans and incandescent lamps. Then for watering plants based on the time read in real time used Real Time Clock DS1307, and for soil moisture sensor used sensor YL-69 where soil moisture on the sensor is 0-100%. All data will be displayed on the LCD display 2 × 16. System testing is conducted by observing the system function in some time conducted from 05.00 am to end at 17.30 pm. At 07.05 and at 17.02, the watering of plants will be done in all directions. If the DHT 11 sensor detect a temperature above 32°C, the microcontroller activates the ventilation and peltier fans to neutralize the temperature inside the green house. Whereas if the temperature is detected below 27°C and above 26°C then lamp 1 will turn on and if the temperature is below or equal to 26°C then lights 1 and 2 will be activated until the temperature returns to normal which is between 27°C - 32°C.  Last testing, if the sensor reads soil moisture below 60% then watering of plants will be done to the detected dry soil.
