Abstract

Azolla sp. which has been regarded as a weed by farmers were able to put to good use. The utilization associated with protein content Azolla sp. is quite high, 24%. In addition digestibility value of these plants is also good. In this study tested the use of flour Azolla on tilapia fish feed gift with different percentages. The results of this study showed the best percentage Azolla sp. powder is 30% by value - average feed conversion ratio of 3.44% (P1) and 4.04% (P2) with the average value of the specific growth of 6.26%. This result indicates that the Azolla sp. flour can be used as an alternative feed ingredient in fish NilaGift (Orechromis sp.)

Abstract

Eucheuma spinosum is one phylum of red algae, that can be used as a natural antibacterial. Indicator bacteria used were Bacillus cereus causes food spoilage. How to handle with antibotic, but the bacteria to become resistant. Therefore, it takes effort to get the antibacterial from natural material. The purpose of this study to get the best concentration of the Eucheuma spinosum extract to inhibit Bacillus cereus and obtain bioactive compounds contained in Eucheuma spinosum. Treatment concentration of 400 ppm, 800 ppm and 1600 ppm with 4 replications.Analysis of the test data using a completely randomized design factorial with a differentiator (Test F). The results produced the best antibacterial from Eucheuma spinosum extract with a concentration of 800 ppm. This is indicated by the average diameter of inhibition zone against Bacillus cereus in Eucheuma spinosum extract with a concentration of 800 ppm is 1,73 mm. While the results of the analysis by GC-MS methods allegedly contained 9 antibacterial compounds extracted from Eucheuma spinosum, such as Phenol, Eugenol, Pentadecane, Heptadecane, 3- Eicosene, 9- Eicosene, 1- Hexadecane, Docosane dan 1- Octadecene.

Abstract

Sneakhead fish is one kind of freshwater fish which are content of albumin. The extractor vacuum was used to extract the fish into albumin. Moreover, the extraction produced residue product, the meat, which was still nutritious even though it could not be more extracted. This residue product was then processed into fish otak-otak. This study was aimed to know the effect of the addition of carrageenan powder on the the chemical nature and organoleptic test of sneakhead fish otak-otak. The treatments used in this research were the variation treatment of addition of carrageenan powder on the of its albumin, protein, crute fiber, carbohydrate, fat, moisture, ash content and organoleptic test (smell, taste, color, texture). The results of research were analyzed three times by using completely randomized design (ral). The results showed that different addition of carrageenan powder give a significant effect on the chemical nature of sneakhead fish otak-otak. The best treatment was obtained at addition of carrageenan powder concentration 10% (e) with an average value of albumin content 1,7%, 7,2% protein content; crute fiber of 2,16%, carbohydrate of 45,24%, fat content of 0,78%, 45,45% water content; 1,28% ash content.

Abstract

The grouper fish hatchery has been growing rapidly include humpback grouper and tiger grouper. On the other hand there are many more types of grouper that has high economic potential, one of which is sand grouper (Epinephelus corallicola). E. corallicola including one type of grouper has a high economic value. Mechanical increased production of grouper culture is by the application of probiotics in aquaculture systems.This study aims to determine the role of probiotics in grouper aquaculture sand. D1-10 larval fish oil given 0.1 ml / m2, probiotic before use cultured using sterile fresh water for 8 hours and then filtered (bottom sediment can not participate), probiotics do when the larvae D1 - harvest with 0.25 -1 ppm and fish health in visual inspection is done every day. These results indicate an increase of the use of probiotics are able to improve the quality and quantity of production of larvae E.corallicola, results can be seen on Survival rate increased by 6.55%.

Abstract

Carp (Cyprinus carpio, L.) is a species of freshwater fish that has long been cultivated and domesticated well in the world. In China, farmers have cultivated around 4,000 years ago, while in Europe several hundred years ago. Some fish varieties and subvarietas Mas Southeast Asia has been widely cultivated as a food fish and ornamental fish. C. carpio spawn at 22.00 until dawn marked with fish activity male chasing the female parent. When it rains fish usually spawn faster. Mas process of spawning fish is the female parent will release eggs while keeping up with the male parent where the male parent while it also spray his sperm on the egg. It is important also pursued when the activity takes place the water continues to flow to supply oxygen dissolved in the fish kolam.Pembenihan Mas can be done in the traditional way, semi-intensive and intensive. The mortality rate in the hatchery can reach 10-20%, it is because the eggs did not hatch due to the muddy water that covered the surface of the egg. Consequently affect hatching, each pool must be no drain water income and expenditure.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of distance rope branches (Branch Line) at Rawai fishing gear Basic (Mini Bottom Long Line) to catch bottom fish (demersal). The research location in the Strait of Madura, in the fishing ground 111° 20 'E to 115° 42' 20'' east longitude and 7° 35 'S to 7° 45' S, and the fishing ground for 9 - 11 hours. The method used is a trial, to determine the distance of rope branches differently to catches of demersal fish used t-test student is then analyzed to get the distance strap effective branches and comparing at each of the catch from a distance of rope branch are different at a distance of 2 fathoms (1.8 m), 3 fathoms (2.7 m) and 4 fathoms (3.6 m), to determine whether the data is normally distributed with the normality test. From the results of the study suggest the operation of fishing gear Rawai Basic to catch bottom fish (demersal) should be operated at a distance of rope branches 4 fathoms (3.6 m).

Abstract

Viral nervous necrosis (VNN) is the causative agent of the disease that quite dangerous for the survival of grouper farming (C. altivelis). Impacts this virus attacks are capable of causing up to 100% mortality. For overcome attack VNN can be used materials of biological resources is N. oculata. Utilization marine microalgae N. oculata were able to improve the immune system, boost the immune response by improving the expression of Toll-like Receptor (TLR) expression Major Histocompitability Complex (MHC), were able to inducing antiviral genes (P56), and able to provide an anti-inflammatory effect. With these capabilities. Feasible to develop the utilization of marine microalgae N. oculata as an alternative to tackling VNN attack on C. altivelis.
