Journal of Educational Research and Evaluation (JERE) is an interdisciplinary publication of original research and writing on education which publishes papers to international audiences of educational researchers. Abstract

This research aimed to (1) develop character based big book as a media for teaching English at sixth grade students at SD Lab UNDIKSHA Singaraja, and (2) find out the quality of character based big book developed. The subject of this research was thirty-two students of sixth grade students of elementary school at SD Lab UNDIKSHA Singaraja. The data of this research were obtained by using observation sheet, interview guide, item of questionnaire, checklist, rubric, and notes. This research was R & D (research and development) which followed several procedures based on Sugiyono model namely identifying potency and problem, collecting data, designing product, validating design product, revising design product, trying-out product, and revising product. The result of this research showed that there were five kinds of character based big book developed with the theme seasons, tourism, direction, airport, and transportation. Each big book consisted of fourteen up to fifteen pages and inserted character education in its story. For the quality of the media, it was found that the character based big book developed was categorized as excellent media. Thus, it was proper to be used as a media for teaching English at sixth grade students.

Abstract

This research investigates Indonesian EFL students writing four types of English sentences in their paragraph writing assignments that were posted online in Writing 1 course of English Education at STKIP PGRI Sumatera Barat. The analysed types of sentences are Simple Sentence (code: S.S.), Compound Sentence (code: C.S.1), Complex Sentence (code: C.S.2), and Compound-Complex Sentence (code: C.C.S). The percentage of each type of sentences that appears in the students’ writings within each five genres represents the students’ syntactical composition. Moreover, this research focuses on quantitatively analysing the above five types of sentences that appeared in students’ assignments in each type of following genres: argumentative, descriptive, process, cause-effect, and comparison-contrast. Data are taken from 10% samples of all population. The finding shows that writing Simple Sentence in paragraphs is a common type of sentence that is used by the students. It indicates that the guiding process to teaching students about writing paragraphs with varied sentence types is important for further development of teaching process of writing.

Abstract

Problems in this study are still many people who do not have good physical fitness. This study aims to determine the influence of elderly gymnastics on the physical fitness of residents Pondok Pinang Village Lubuk Buaya Sub-District Koto Tangah Padang City. The sample in this research is resident of lodge of pinang numbered as many as 18 people. The instrument used to measure people's physical fitness is 2.4 km. Data were analyzed by using t-test different mean. Based on the results of data analysis, it was found that elderly gymnastics had a significant effect on physical fitness, because it was found thitung = 5.35 > ttable = 2.11 and it was proved that there was a difference of mean physical fitness before treatment (preliminary test) Is 22.58 and mean after treatment is given (final test) is 18,73, it means there is increase 3,85 to physical fitness

Abstract

This study aims to find the Supervision Model Based on Primary Teacher Professional Competence which effective on integrated learning. This study use research and development with qualitative approach which will be carried out in the Palmerah, West Jakarta. The techniques used to collect data are interviews, questionnaires, observation and documentation. Data v alidity is tested with credibility, transferability, dependability, and comfortability. The model developed will be validated using the Delphi technique. The result of this research is the discovery of the model and device-based supervision model of professional competence of primary teachers in integrated learning. The long-term goal of this research is to improve the teachers’ competence and the supervision quality for primary teachers in integrated learning

Abstract

Pendidikan jasmani merupakan bagian integrasi dari pendidikan secara keseluruhan melalui berbagai kegiatan jasmani. Aktivitas fisik yang terencana dan terukur memungkinkan siswi bisa meningkatkan kebugarannya. Latihan yang dapat meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani siswi adalah senam kebugaran jasmani (SKJ) 2008. Siswi yang tidak memiliki kebugaran jasmani yang baik, maka siswi tidak akan belajar dengan baik, karena kurangnya semangat di dalam belajar, pusing dan mengantuk. Masa usia sekolah dasar (SD) merupakan masa kanak-kanak yang berlangsung dari usia enam tahun, karakteristik utama siswa SD adalah mereka menampilkan perbedaan-perbedaan individual dalam banyak segi dan bidang, di antaranya perkembangan fisik anak. Kebugaran adalah kemampuan tubuh seseorang untuk melakukan tugas dan pekerjaan sehari-hari tanpa menimbulkan kelelahan yang berarti, sehingga tubuh masih memiliki simpanan tenaga untuk mengatasi beban kerja tambahan. Senam  ialah suatu latihan tubuh yang dipilih dan dikonstruk secara sengaja, yang dilakukan secara sistematis dengan tujuan meningkatkan kebugaran jasmani. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen, populasi dan sampel penelitian siswi dari kelas IV sampai V dengan jumlah 28 orang. Uji statistik yang digunakan adalah t-test, dari hasil thitung (3,70) > ttabel (2,05). Berarti bahwa hipotesis penelitian dapat diterima dengan nilai selisih peningkatan yang ditemukan sebesar 3,97%. Berdasarkan analisis data dan pembahasan, maka dapat dikemukakan kesimpulan. Senam SKJ 2008 berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peningkatan kebugaran jasmani siswi.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the influence of the implementation of demonstration method to the numeracy skills of third grade students of SDN Kecandran 01 in second semester of academic year 2016/2017. This research is an experimental research. This research was conducted in two different schools namely SDN Kecandran 01 in class 3 as the experimental class and SDN Dukuh 01 in class 3 as the control class. Students of each school in class 3 as many as 32 students. Data analysis technique used in this research is ancova test using unvariet. The results showed that in the experimental class average pretest of 50, for the average posttest value of 88.59. While in the control class the average pretest value of 48.13, for the posttest value of 79.69. The difference in the pretest value of the two classes was 1.87, while the difference in the posttest average was 8.9. So it can be concluded that there is influence of the implementation of demonstration methods on the numeracy skills of third grade students of SDN Kecandran 01 Salatiga in the second semester of academic year 2016/2017.

Abstract

Hepatitis adalah peradangan pada hati karena toxin, seperti kimia atauobat ataupun agen penyebab infeksi. Hepatitis yang berlangsung kurang dari 6 bulan disebut "hepatitis akut", hepatitis yang berlangsung lebih dari 6 bulan disebut "hepatitis kronis".Hepatitis biasanya terjadi karena virus, terutama salah satu dari kelima virus hepatitis, yaitu A, B, C, D atau E. Hepatitis juga bisa terjadi karena infeksi virus lainnya, seperti mononukleosis infeksiosa, demam kuning dan infeksi sitomegalovirus. Penyebab hepatitis non-virus yang utama adalah alkohol dan obat-obatan.Dalam penelitian ini dilakukan tes terhadap  155 pasien dengan respon meninggal atau hidup.  Untuk itu penerapan Data Mining akan dilakukan pada kasus diatas, memanfaatkan salah satu teknik yaitu Data Classification, sejumlah data testing yang tersedia akan di analisis serta dibandingkan dengan data training untuk dilakukan prediksi meninggal atau hidup.Hasil ketepatan klasifikasi antara data training dengan data testing dengan analisis regresi logistik adalah 79,4% sedangkan dengan menggunakan SVM diperoleh sebesar 80%. Pengelompokan dengan menggunakan K-Means dan Kernel K-Means menghasilkan ketepatan pengelompokan yang berbeda. Ini menunjukkan bahwa data hepatitis memiliki pengelompokan yang baik. Kemudian hasil pengelompokan pada Kernel K-Means dibandingkan dengan data aktual yang diklasifikasikan dengan menggunakan regresi logistik, SVM dan CART dimana dihasilkan bahwa data hasil dari Kernel K-Means memiliki ketepatan klasifikasi yang lebih baik dibandingkan dengan hasil klasifikasi pada data aktual.

Abstract

Tujuan umum dari penelitian ini adalah: mengembangkan materi dan model pendidikan multikultur dalam pembelajaran PPKn dan IPS di SD. Penelitin ini menggun desain penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development), yang dilaksan selama 3 (tiga) tahun, mulai dari tahun 2017 – tahun 2009. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) sekolah dan guru telah memiliki kesiapan yang cukup signifikan untuk dilibatkan dalm pengembangan model pendidikan multikultur, (2) pengorganisasian materi pendidikan multikultur saat ini masih terintegrasi dengan materi PKn dan IPS, (3) penilaian yang saat ini dikembangkan oleh guru lebih mengacu pada penilaian produk atau hasil belajar dengan menggun tes tertulis bentuk uraian dan isian singkat, (4) hambatan utama guru dalam membelajarkan pendidikan multikultur adalah kurangnya pengetahuan dan keterampilan mereka tentang model-model pendidikan multikultur dan terbatasnya media pembelajaran, dan (5) model konseptual pendidikan multikultur yang dikembangkan dalam penelitian ini struktur isi materinya tidak disusun berdasarkan struktur isi disiplin ilmu, melainkan sejauh memiliki relevansi dengan struktur internal siswa yang dibangun dari hasil pengalaman-pengalaman personal dan sosiokulturalnya di dalam kehidupan masyarakat, yang mencakup: (1) konsepsi sosial, (2) konsepsi kultural, dan (3) konsepsi personal dalam balutan mata pelajaran IPS dan PKn.
