Abstract

In the process of creating an innovation to the growing number of vehicles as well as considering the risks that happens then raised an idea to reduce the number of accidents. A maximum speed limiting devices on vehicles with warning system via SMS (Short Message Service) seeks to reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents, and improving comfort and safety in driving for yourself or other motorists. The tool is powered by mikrontroller Atmega 8 as a control system with photodiode sensor and infrared as detection speed.

Abstract

The quality of services at the State Electricity Company should be improved by minimizing the interruption of the electrical power supply in the power distribution system of 20 kV. Create a effective process of supplying electrical power, the equipment used must be maintained in order to last long, for example equipment in distribution substations. Thorough maintenance activities carried out when the system is off, it means there are planned outage times. Methods of maintenance, there are Time Based Maintenance (TBM) and Condition Based Maintenance (CBM). Both methods have been adopted. TBM until 2013 and CBM from 2014 until now. At the time the company implemented method of TBM, its SAIDI is 1.34936 hour/customers/ year and its SAIFI is 398.1322 times/customer/year. Meanwhile, when CBM is applied, its SAIDI is 0.33110 hour/customers/year and its SAIFI is 65.5828 times/customer/year. The cost of maintenance with CBM is Rp495.311.340,00, which is cheaper than the TBM with its cost up to Rp1.272.924.480,00. It can be seen that the effective method is the CBM, which only execute maintenance activities on distribution substations when needed, but produce a better reliability index numbers with a more economical cost.

Abstract

The stove is cooking tool that can generate high heat and the household items that have become a major necessity for every human being. Leaving aside the traditional stove that has been rarely used in Indonesia, there are several types of stoves based on a source of heat that is used at present, namely a gas stove (using gas), electric cooker (using current litrik) and induction cookers (using an electric current). After testing to determine the efficiency and heating costs by as much as 1liter water until it reaches its boiling temperature, showed that the induction hob (1200W) have high efficiency and better cost than gas stove that is equal (74.03% / 38.55%), (Rp152,56 / US $ 161.25). Similarly, when compared with electric stove at the same great power 600W, induction cooker efficiency and better cost anyway, namely (67.24% / 56.29%), (Rp167,93 / US $ 200.64). In terms of security, the induction cooker has a security level that is very nice and friendly to the environment when compared with a gas stove that many lead to fires and even explosions if the wrong in the procedure user and to the type of electric stoves also have a level of security as well as the induction cooker, but requires delay time to preheat so it takes a long time for the heating process. From these test results it can be said that the induction cooker is better when compared to other types of stoves.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much readiness in implementing technology Long Term Evolution (LTE), a research model by using measurements in some areas and islands, especially in Jakarta, using a measuring instrument Agilent spectrum analyzer, and with the collection of data online and asked the parties concerned, here in particular with the Ministry of Communications or the Center for Monitoring (Balmon). Results from the study showed that the measurement, which can be no interference with other signals, are still in the corridor on the 2.3 GHz frequency range and the development of the 3GPP technology, with systems that LTE FDD and TDD can be accepted at 1G to 4G networks. LTE technology offers mobile data services in high-speed, reaching 100 Mbps for downlink and 50 Mbps on the uplink. And the measurement results of the average frequency is at 2,383 GH, its bandwidth 9.54 MHz and at the level of the signal - 65.07 dBm. The measurement results can be input to the government restrictions on devices that work in several different frequency bands to avoid interference with users and users between operators.

Abstract

In the age of information technology data today, telecommunication operators are focusing businesses and services in the data service, which originally was the only service of this data as a value added service (VAS). Then the data service is growing rapidly becoming part of the core business of the operators present. In the era of information technology this data, the risk faced by operators is the need to share the "cake" revenue with "a lot of other players" beyond the telecom operators. As a result, the value of revenue earned will not be as big as in the era of voice and SMS service that still dominate the telecommunications services at that time. With revenue growth continued pressure, the telecom operators are trying to address these risks by taking management action amid more robust telecommunications business model changes

Abstract

The research aims to analize the impact of installing DG to distribution system reliability. Evaluation of this distrubution syatem reliability use EDSA Technical 2005 software. There were seventh case studies in this research. The first is system without DG. The second to seventh case is by connect DG in bus change respectively by turns. The result of research show that by installing DG to each load bus always give improvement to distribution system reliability. The optimum reliability was obtained when DG was install at bus 4.

Abstract

Media information which presents the technical data and specifications of the transformer is a nameplate, one of the data listed on the nameplate is the type of vector group transformer, vector group transformer which can inform you about the types of relationships winding on the transformer and the magnitude of the phase difference between the primary to the secondary. Vector group listed on the nameplate is particularly useful when the transformer will be operated in parallel, because the terms of parallel operation of transformers is to have the same type of vector group. Refers to the standard SPLN 50: 1987 and IEC 60076-1, vector Group of the routine work done to determine the type of relationship turns on the primary and secondary sections to match the nameplate. Methods to determine the type of vector group is done by connecting one of the terminals similar between the primary with the secondary, then the measured value of the voltage between the other terminal, the results of these measurements refer to the vector group testing formula and referring to the vector diagram measurement testing group.

Abstract

Incandescent filament in an incandescent lamp is a prisoner in the form of wire. When electrified, the filaments become very hot, ranging from 2800 degrees Kelvin up to a maximum of 3700 degrees Kelvin. This causes the light emitted by incandescent bulbs is usually a reddish yellow. At extremely high temperatures that the filaments began to produce light at wavelengths that are invisible. If the filament by the air flow will cause a change in resistance value. If there is no air flow, the filament resistance value will be low. If there is airflow, the filament resistance will change vary. Variations caused by differences in heat resistance filament. Resistance variations also affect the voltage variation that passes through the filament. The voltage variation will be processed by the Op-Amp and displayed by LEDs
