Abstract

In the framework of the development of a drive system used for propulsion in a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), a 16-pole permanent magnet (PM) synchronous in wheel motor is used. HEV wheel motor system is designed to convert electrical power into mechanical torque on the wheel using AC voltage as a voltage source and supercapacitor as an energy storage, two level IGBT’s voltage source converters, and permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The purpose of this research is to simulate the suitability of 3300 µF capacitors in HEV systems with PLECS based on MATLAB / SIMULINK. The design of current controller, speed controller and HEV electrical model are discussed as components of a drive control. All components used in this study use predetermined data and parameters. The voltage, current and angular velocity of HEV wheel motors output were recorded. The simulation results show that with a constant current, the speed will decrease and the capacitor voltage will increase. PMSM is changed as a generator that stores electric current to super capacitors, which can store more energy with a short time to be charged. In this case it can be concluded that super capacitors are very suitable to be used in this system.

Abstract

Analysis the flow of power in works system electricity used to determine parameters workers system electricity. The calculation process are own related to the optimize system. A method of which has been used is the method Newton Raphson iteration. This method is a Taylor of obtaining the derivative a mathematical equation as the basis for calculation iteration involving using matric Jacobian. Analysis the flow of the power on a system electric power on useful to count some parameters that importance between another current of, voltage, power, and loss power. The method of analysis the flow of resources Newton-Raphson has been proven accurate to calculation the power on the flow of transmission system of analysis. A channel or a cable on a system the distribution of also having the ratio the resistance of versus reactance ( r / x ) that tend to high that led to the process by the calculation of the flow of power uses the method conventional above failed to converging. The results of a simulation shows that usage method of simple branch exchange to merekonfigurasi of tissues can be reduce loss of power equal to 63,4677 kw .From the results of a simulation by the use of in distribution systems ieee 33 bus 12,6 kv , shows that there has been a decrease rugi-rugi resources of a 202,6845 kw become 139,2168 kw.

Abstract

Indonesia is an archipelago and is located in the tropics. One of the disadvantages of an archipelagic country is that it is difficult to distribute electricity systems centrally, so an easier system needs to be used by utilizing easily available energy sources. Because Indonesia is in the tropics, the source of solar energy is the most appropriate. The purpose of this study is to analysis the electric power generation systems of household as an alternative to meeting electricity needs. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that in the design of a household scale solar power plant it is necessary to calculate solar module capacity, battery capacity, solar charge controller and inverter. Weather and load factors are very influential on the length of a household scale solar power plant operating. The intensity of sunlight received by household scale solar power plant will be high when the sky is clear, and the intensity will decrease if it is in cloudy sky. If the load used is high, the household scale solar power plant will not be able to operate long enough to supply electricity to the load, if the load used is low then the household scale solar power plant can operate relatively longer in supplying electricity to the load.

Abstract

The main components of the installation in the Concrete substations are transformers and switching / protection equipment, assembled in civil buildings that are designed, built and functioned by the construction of masonry and concrete pairs. This construction is intended to fulfill the best requirements for electricity safety. The equipment for 20kV medium voltage relations of pair distribution substation is cubicle. PLN's voltage on the one-phase distribution is 11.5kV. with more high feeding stress arises the problem of isolation in the equipment inside the cubicle. The problem that often occurs in cubicles is corona, which is a phenomenon that occurs when air around an conductor or conductor is ionized. From this process there is a discharge that can lead to insulation failure in the air. Based on the influence of the partial pressure of the air on the corona, it can be analyzed the indication of whether or not a corona occurs in the cubicle. From the substation data used, it can be calculated the amount of power losses on the cubicle. From the substation data used, it can be calculated the magnitude of the power losses resulting from fatal distrubtion, because it can cause physical damage to the equipment in the cubicle, causing audio noise and power losses. Substation K-245 has RH = 80%, Ev = 3,94 kV and Ploss = 3,88 kW, then substation K-245 has RH = 86%, Ev = 4,37 kV and Ploss 3,45 kW where the substations T-241 and K-245 are Ev <11,56kV, then the cubicles are exposed to the corona. For substation T-407 has RH = 45%, Ev = 18,34kV, because Ev> 11,56kV then the cubicle is not exposed to the corona.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the influence of the temperature and the volume of stirling engine working gas on the power output of the solar thermal power plant which uses stirling engine. The methods used in this study are literature review on mathematical model of the system, the observations of the working stirling engine directly to see optimization opportunity, and simulation using simulink to see the output of the plant. The result obtained in this study are ; in general, system performance is strongly influenced by the temperature of the heating plate which is directly related to the working temperature of the gas. The heater plate temperature value is proportional to the output power provided, the higher the temperature of the heater plate, the greater power output will be obtained. From the results of the simulation also seem that high working gas temperatures reduces oscillation of the power output. the effect of the working gas volume does not significantly influence the output power. As for what can be concluded is, in the system that has been made, the main factor affecting the performance of the generating system is the temperature of the heating plate. So that performance optimization of the generating system can be further carried out in the parts related to these parameters.

Abstract

This research deals with the islanding scheme design of DKI Jakarta and Banten power system which aim to improve the rate of success in islanding formation when distrubance hit. Islanding scheme is the last option in corrective control that devide electrical system into several regions during disturbance to maintain the electrical system stability. The islanding scheme design method is based on generator coherency, severe connections, and active and reactive power balance. This islanding scheme is designed in 2 steps for 48,3 Hz and 48,1 Hz. In the first step, DKI Jakarta and Banten will be separated from Jawa Bali and in the second step the system should be divided into 4 islands due to generator coherency. Based on simmulation in Digsilent, this islanding scheme design could keep the stability of frequency and rotor angle of DKI Jakarta and Banten system.
