Abstract

The Indonesian nation and its people are known as a pluralistic society that has various tribes, ethnicities,cultures, religions, races, customs and languages. The community and the environment have local wisdom values that need to be considered, as a form of character and meaning in life. The concept of the directorial work of the comedy drama film “HANI” raises the background of the story about early marriage age, in the form of verbal and slapstick comedy dramas, with the local language style of the pendalungan community with a light demeanor. The comedy-drama film “Hani” was directed with the local culture of pendalungan to create a comedy-drama in the storyline, as well as local actors who provide and create comedy-drama elements into a complete audiovisual work with easy-to-understand and entertaining problems.

Abstract

This study discusses the creative strategies implemented by producers in packaging cultural content in the Napak Pertiwi episode of Jejak Anak Negeri program in TRANS7. This research method uses a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques through interviews with producers and assistant producers as well as making observations through broadcast copies on the youtube channel and the official social media of Jejak Anak Negeri. The producer’s creative strategy is analyzed using 13 creative strategy elements based on the book by Naratama.

Abstract

The drama genre drama Negeri 5 Menara was released in 2012 directed by Affandi Abdul Rachman. This study aims to find out how the role of Ustaz Salman and Kiai Rais as educators is visualized in the film Negeri 5 Menara. Researchers use qualitative methods. Primary data sources use original DVDs and secondary data from interviews with the director of the film Negeri 5 Menara as well as synopsis and film posters obtained from Sinematek Indonesia. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis was carried out in 3 stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing or verifying conclusions. The findings of this study focus on a directing approach that presents narrative elements, mise en scene and cinematography which shows the visualization of the role of Ustaz Salman and Kiai Rais as educators. The role of Ustaz Salman as an educator is visualized in scene 36, scene 45 and scene 71 and scene 72 while the role of Kiai Rais as an educator is visualized in scene 39,scene 57, scene 58, scene 61 and scene 62.

Abstract

Rust dyeing is a fabric coloring technique using rust which is a potential alternative dye, has high aesthetic value, and can create unique and interesting visualizations because the resulting color effects are different.The aim of this design is to use rust for rust dyeing motifs so that they have higher use value. The visual motifs displayed were obtained from exploration results using various binding techniques. The rust dyeing motif was implemented on the puffer jacket to add to its aesthetic value. The design method used is the creation approach method according to Gustami which consists of three stages, namely exploration, design stage (putting found ideas into visual form), embodiment stage (making selected plans and designs into realwork). The result of this design is a rust dyeing motif fabric which is used as an aesthetic complement to puffer jacket products using rust dyeing and quilting techniques.

Abstract

Childhood memories are something that cannot be avoided. Childhood memories provide many very meaningful life experiences as if they attract the heart to return to the past. The experience of the author who was born and grew up in the Selayar coastal area where almost all of his activities are in direct contact with the coast. This condition gave the writer an idea to create a painting entitled: Childhood Memories of Selayar Beach Children.The creation of this final project work uses stages based on L.H. Chapman's theoretical basis regarding the process of work creation, which states 3 stages of work creation, namely, 1). Efforts to find an idea (inception of an idea), 2). Refine, develop and solidify initial ideas (elaboration and refinement, 3). Visuals in a medium (tension in a medium). The technique used in creating the work in the creation of this work is the plaque and sweep technique which refers to the way of creating impressionist works which depict the impression of form through strong color processing and lighting, dark light, and the addition of accents.From the arrangement of visual elements and composition of visual elements, 8 works were produced entitled: Ruwat Bumi, Ruwat Sukerta Banyumasan, Ebeg Banyumasan, Lenggeran, Kothekan Lesung, Sintrenan, Wayang Jemblung, and Cowong Wulan Sari Wungu.

Abstract

The creation of the Final Project entitled "Traditional Games in the Modern Era of Ideas in the Creating of Paintings" is taken from the current state of traditional games. There are several factors that cause traditional games to be abandoned today; 1). Reduced children's play area, 2). The role of parents, 3). Enter the modern game. At this time traditional games are rarely played by children, because most children are more interested in playing smartphones. The process of creating this final painting work uses the theoretical basis of L.H Chapman, which mentions 3 stages, namely, 1). Efforts to find ideas or find sources of ideas, inspiration, 2). Enchane, develop and establish initial ideas, 3). Visualization into the medium. Objects in paintings and figures for children are depicted with decorative naive forms and the choice of colors uses bright colors which are expected to be able to express an atmosphere of joy. The child figures experience a change in facial anatomy, which is expected to represent the character of a child who is innocent and free-spirited and depicts innocent children who have not yet found their identity. In this painting, the author displays the atmosphere that occurs in each of his paintings.

Abstract

This research focuses on lighting techniques that reduce shadows resulting from lighting effects. This is done by arranging the lighting in a circular manner outside of the camera lens, so that the angle of the light hitting the object results in the shadow of the lamp is invisible through the lens as it is hidden behind the object. The lighting engineering is made to resemble a ringflash using an L.E.D light source available at any electrical store, making it easier for anyone who wants to make one. The advantage of this lighting engineering is the significant cost savings because ring flashes available in the photography market with certain brands are worth hundreds of millions of rupiah. This lighting engineering is made larger with a diameter of 50 centimetres and is flexible so that it can be used dynamically for fashion, product and other shoots. The achievement of this research is a compact lighting prototype, this research also presents a guide to making lighting engineering so that it can be used by photo studio creative industry players in improvingshooting results

Abstract

One type of artwork that is three-dimensional is sculpture. The forms to be developed in this creation are various forms of sculptures that represent animal wings using industrial materials, namely car and motorcycle engines. The choice of wing shape is based on the author’s interest in the movement of animal wings that have rhythm and beauty of motion. Wings become an important part of winged animals such as birds and insects. It is these wings that carry them foraging, breeding and living. Through the qualitative approach method with the Research (DBR) method, the author tries to realize aesthetically pleasing three-dimensional artworks with industrial materials. Industrial materials in the form of car engines are assembled into kinetic sculptures that represent the shapes of animal wings. This study aims to conduct experiments combining waste motorcycles and used cars, screws and household tools into sculpture works using welding raft and screw techniques. In addition, this research is also to realize aesthetic ideas and ideas according to empirical abilities and experiences expressed in the form of three-dimensional works.

Abstract

Fictional films are entertainment media created by a group of filmmakers and presented to the audience with stories and audio-visual techniques. Qualitative descriptive research, a research process that tries to get descriptive speech or writing. The use of luminescent tube lights in the film Love for Sale 2 has meaning in every scene.The color of the luminescent tube lights cannot be placed in just any place because the location of the luminescent tube lights can represent the emotions of each character, such as when Ican and Poppy first dated, the luminescent tube lights differentiated the emotion between the blue neon around Poppy which meant Poppy has cold emotions while orange is on the side of Ican, who is Poppy’s opponent, who has warm emotions, a dispute between Ros’ neighbors and Ros, whose red luminescent tube lamp is in the middle of them.

Abstract

The purpose of creating this final work is as a form of aesthetic experience when the author needs calm in living his life. Sunflowers have a philosophy of always following the direction of the sun’s rays, which means being loyal, optimistic and enthusiastic so that sunflowers can be used as an inspiration for those who see them. The issues discussed are: 1) What is interesting about sunflowers as a source of ideas for creating high-print graphic art works, 2) How sunflowers become a theme in high-print graphic art works, 3) How to visualize sunflowers in high-print graphic art works . The objectives of creating this thesis work are: 1) Describe the interesting things about sunflowers, 2) Explain the choice of sunflowers as a source of ideas for creating graphic works of art, 3) Create a visualization of sunflowers as a work of graphic art. Sunflowers are packaged in high-print graphic art visuals with a flow of surrealism and color reduction methods. Presentation of works with figures using matte glass so as not to reflect light. The media used is mdf with a thickness of 3 mm with dimensions of 60 cm x 80 cm. The work is presented by placing it on the surface of the gallery wall using glass figures. Hopefully this work of art can be a reference, useful and enjoyable for the community.
