PGSD UNS is one of the faculty and graduate study programs or instituted educators especially for the elementary school level (SD). In formal learning, the music has been entered as a local content subject area of art. Musicians as a means of character education are expected to contribute equipment to the prospective educators. Full of musical rules, complexity, and subtlety can infuse character education, especially for students of PGSD UNS. This article discusses creativity Elementary School Ta’mirul Islamic Surakarta in dance training. The goal of the training is grade 3.4, 5 and 6. The form of training is traditional dance creations and creativity in dance collaboration with the music of rabbana (Hadrah). Results of the training on traditional dance creations is the dance Soyong and dance Pangpung, while creativity produces motion of the song with the music of tambourines to MAPSI race. In the race, get the first winner District and Municipal level, and advance to the provincial level. This training is not to produce a perfect performance shape or focus on the mastery of the material as well, but it is more emphasized on the process, in case of emphasizing student involvement in tapping the creativity of the student’s ability with freedom and flexibility in managing the body and expresses it to be a show. This is supposed to give an understanding of basic creativity, to form a creative media, to perform the creative works and to document audio visual in order to be used as a reference in dance studying in elementary school.Keywords: creativity, dance, student of Elementary School, training.

The issue of global warming consequences on the environment makes the interior designers look for an alternative of more sustainable materials and seek to reduce the waste in the production process. Bamboo and wood pieces of waste material is a material that can provide a solution when there is a material engineering effort between the two materials. Material engineering produces new material called composite. The material may be useful in the process of creation of the interior design, including interior accessories. Batik is chosen as the theme and concept of design creations of the interior accessories as reinforce cultural character with the concept of green design in Surakarta or Solo. The process of implementation of works is in partnership with a workshop production of Rempah Rumah Karya, so that the synergy between industry, practitioners, and academics can be properly implemented. This research is aimed to a project of art as a means of developing the ideas that emerged from the oyster mushroom plant forms found in nature and cultivated. The author is very interested in the oyster mushroom because of the umbrella shape so that there appears in the artist mind an idea to visualize the form into another form that can have aesthetic elements and serves as a means maker cool atmosphere with the rush of water falling through the cracks form of oyster mushroom highly artistic in appearance. The process of making is by using the method of exploration, the process of creation, or formation, water pump engine assembly, analysis and presentation of the work. The data is obtained by looking at the existing references either from the literature or retrieve data directly on the object of research in the field. Documentation is done by using a photo camera or scanner tools such reproduction. MENGEMBANGKAN KREATIVITAS KEKARYAAN TARI BAGI SISWA SMA Dwi Wahyudiarto; Dwi Rahmani; Dwi Maryani

The community services (Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat) is implemented at SMA Batik I Surakarta with the theme “Dance for expression, actualization and recreation”. This training is more focused on training and preparation work for strengthening creativity of dance for high school students. This dance training will encourage students to develop creativity, improved their ability in dancing techniques, and will master the dance material. Besides the experience of affective, cognitive and psychomotor exercises done in the process, it is also useful in building character of students.Specifically, dance training activities with three methods: the first method is focus group discussion; secondly, method of creative shapes, and thirdly, drill method. Focus group discussion is done for giving reinforcement insight / knowledge regarding the values of art and humanitarian into in life experience learners. Experimental methods are supposed to develop, to enhance students' skills in the creative process, and to drill method in providing reinforcement in its training of dancing physical abilities.Training program is conducted over six months, it also involves the accompanying direct chaperone teacher from school. This is a very important role in the smooth running drills, and also for the sustainability of the program. Materials and training results are in the form of a dance piece entitled Tembang Nusantara. A dance piece is worked out based on the pattern of the song rhythm or songs of Indonesian region. This theme is chosen because basically, the song has a very good meaning for teenager education. Orchestral colors which work on the musical form is very handsome, spirit, agile, aggressive so it is appropriate for high school age. Results of the training can be arranged including new material in filmed dance, build confidence for students primarily through roles or characters. In addition, this program also can make it dynamic and develop the spirit of art, as well as the growing appreciation for all the students in SMA Batik I Surakarta. This activity aims to give training and accompanying on interior ordering by using waste cardboard. The activity is implemented based on the phenomena in the pondok (Muslim boarding school) showing that there is the same problem that is limitedness of room and furniture so that the bedroom is not conducive for studying. The activity will be executed in Pondok Pesantren Ar Roudhloh Ngringo Palur Karanganyar. The strategy used is the approach of demonstration and appreciation while the method used is speech, discussion, and direct practice. The application of the demonstration and appreciation method is hoped to be able to practice and give appreciation. Partner can directly practice in accordance to his capacity and also measure or give appreciation towards his own work as well as another work in his group maximally so that the services team can train and accompany them suitable to their needs in the field. The result covers: the activity has a positive impact, it can be seen from the rooms that change from the dirty rooms to the clean and tidy rooms even with the simple furniture. The main target of usage cardboard waste extends to the board of building waste which has been available in the Pondok. The success needs for about two months duration. At the beginning, santri (learners at Pondok) is not interested in the activity but finally they show the positive reaction.Keywords: motivation, cardboard furniture, appreciation.

A teacher is a glorious profession. He is demanded to be responsible to educate and to teach the good character to the children. On the other hand, the teachers are demanded to develop their competences on their own field. One thing that becomes their problem is the writing of a working paper. To overcome this problem, the training is held regularly to assist teachers in the writing of working papers. The method used is a model of lectures, assignments, and mentoring. The result of this activity is the teacher can produce at least a working paper. The paper can be included in the scientific journals. Keywords: Teacher, working papers.

Batik is a world heritage that has been avowed by UNESCO and has become a traditional culture in Indonesia. Knowledge about batik becomes a must for people in Surakarta. Batik has been developed in all aspects of society, covering spreading information about batik, the process of batik making, marketing, and area location (industry centre). The training activity concerning the draft of batik motive design, formal as well as non formal in the education institutions, governmental institutions, and private institutions have increased. Public society is hoped to take part in supporting the program. The training aims to introduce batik as well as give an extra skill concerning to plan the batik motive design. This activity uses the methods of speech, demonstration, and autonomous assignment. The problem of training includes how to describe material in developing batik motive design to the craftmen of batik tulis Cahaya Sari, Plupuh and how the process of batik tulis making in Cahaya Sari, Plupuh. Result of the training is that the employee and society around Cahaya Sari are able to plan batik motive design by developing batik motive belong to the institution.Keywords: design, motive, batik, Cahaya Sari.

GARAP PERTUNJUKAN WAYANG WAHYU LAKON NABI ELLIA Blacius Subono

This art work represents an activity of composing pakeliran (puppet show) script of Wayang Wahyu entitled Nabi Ellia. The activity includes script composing starting from vocabularies selection of catur, sabet, and iringan (accompaniment). This work aims to describe the story of Nabi Ellia into the vocabularies of pakeliran and to compose a pakeliran script entitled Nabi Ellia with the pattern of short pakeliran. Result of the activity includes: the description of pakeliran Wayang Wahyu vocabularies entitled Nabi Ellia; the script of Wayang Wahyu show entitled Nabi Ellia in short treatment; and the publication of the article in journal. This art work uses an approach adopted from theories of puppetry. The method used includes technique of library studies or content analysis, deep interview, focus group discussion (FGD), passive role observation, voice recording, audio visual recording, and photography. Based on the method and approach, the result produced is a complete script of Wayang Wahyu performance entitled Nabi Ellia.Keywords: script, Wayang Wahyu, Nabi Ellia.

Senior High School I (SMAN I) Ponorogo is an education institution that gives appreciation towards batik training. The activity aims to produce a batik motive design which one of them can be used as the uniform. Motive of batik uniform can presents symbolic values in accordance to the local character of Ponorogo and the character of correlated institution as well. By using tutorial and practical method, there can be produced some batik motives which one of them can be used as the uniform of SMAN I Ponorogo.Keywords: motive, design, batik, Ponorogo.
