Abstract

Abstract: Teaching English Vocabulary based Realia Kits at SDN 35 Tajuncu.This study aims to find out teachers’ perception on Realia Kits used, students’ interest, and types of Realia Kits used in teaching English. This is a Descriptive Qualitative Study, located in SD Negeri 35 Tajuncu. Informants as the object of research are Teachers of SD Negeri 35 Tajuncu who teach English. Researchers used interview, observation, and documentation as instruments in collecting data.Based on the results of data analysis, teachers responded the kits positively. In line with the observation which were used to measure students’ interest, it was found that students of SD Negeri 35 Tajuncu had high interest in Realia as teaching media. Moreover, From three types of Realia, ‘Unmodified Real Things’ was the most applicative type.

Abstract

Abstract: Improving Science Learning Outcomes through the Numbered Heads Together Learning Model in the Class V Students of SD Negeri Daya I Biringkanaya Makassar. This research was a Classroom Action Research that aimd to improve the learning outcomes of Natural Sciences through the Numbered Heads Together learning model in fifth grade students of SD Negeri I Biringkanaya Makassar. This type of classroom action research was divided into two cycles with four stages: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data analysis technique was qualitative, while the data in the form of numbers or quantitative data were analyzed by calculating the percentage of students understanding of natural science subjects in fifth grade students of SD Negeri Daya 1 Biringkanaya Makassar, on the material properties of light due to the teacher creating varied learning conditions. The application of Numbered Heads Together learning model was used as an alternative in the material about the properties of light. This study aimed to improve learning outcomes on the material properties of light. An increase in the quality of learning was characterized by an increase in the average activity of students in the learning process in accordance with the results of observation during class action, where the average score of the end result of the first cycle was 64.33, an increase of 86.66 in the second cycle. Likewise with mastery learning from the first cycle 43.33% increased by 90% in the second cycle.

Abstract

Abstract: Implementation of Color Mixing Activities in Shaping the Simple Science Skills of the Bungoro State Trustees. This research aims to form science skills through the implementation of color mixing activities in the Bungoro State Development Kindergarten. Classroom action research. Subjects in the study were 21 students and 2 teachers. Data collection techniques are observation and interview. Analysis of the data used descriptive analysis. The results of observations in the first cycle conducted on students with indicators of conducting science experiments by doing the activity of mixing the basic colors of red + blue + yellow. Of the 21 students observed there were 7 students in the very well developed category (BSB). In the category of developing according to expectations (BSH) there are 3 students, In the category of developing (MB) there are 5 students, while undeveloped (BB) there are categories of 6 students. The results of the second cycle observations conducted on students with indicators of conducting science experiments by doing the activity of mixing the basic colors of red + blue + yellow. Of the 21 students observed there were 9 students in the very well developed category (BSB). In the category of developing according to expectations (BSH) there are 8 students, In the category of developing (MB) there are 3 students, while undeveloped (BB) there are categories of 1 students.

Abstract

Abstract: Improving the Students’ Ability to Write Descriptive Paragraph Through Intrapersonal Intelligence Strategy. Improving the Students’ Ability to Write Descriptive Paragraph Through Intrapersonal Intelligence Strategy. This research was aimed at finding out whether or not the use of intrapersonal intelligence strategy improves the ability in writing descriptive paragraph of the second year students of Indonesian junior high school. This research employed a quasi experimental method, with one group pre-test and post-test. The result of this research shows that the students’ post-test score for experimental group was higher than the students’ post-test score for control group. it was proved by the result of post-test mean score of experimental group (80.20) that was higher than the control group (70.l0). It is also proved by the value of t-test which was higher than the value of t-table (4.913>2.000). Based on the finding and discussion of the study, the researcher concluded that Intrapersonal Intelligence Strategy is significant to improve the students writing ability to write descriptive paragraph of the second year students of Indonesian junior high school.

Abstract

Abstract: Enhancing Listening Ability to Restate News Highlights Through Buzz Group Discussion Method of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 1 Kahu Bone Regency. This study aimed to examine the ability to pay attention in restating the headlines through the discussion method of buzz groups of students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 1 kahu Bone Regency. This research was a class action research. Data collection techniques were observation and assignment through restating the main points of news highlights after applying the buzz group discussion technique. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively, and the learning outcomes data that were restating the news highlights were analyzed descriptively quantitative. The results showed that the application of the buzz group discussion method on restating the news highlights at the planning, implementation, and outcome stages had increased. This could be seen in the activities of students and teachers in the application of the buzz group technique discussion in the first cycle were still categorized as less active. In cycle II there was a change in the process that showed average in the active category. In the first cycle, the average value of 73.5 and included in the category that experienced an increase in the second cycle with an average value of 84.9 and included in the high category. Based on the results of research, Indonesian language teachers at SMP Negeri 1 Kahu Bone Regency should use maximum learning methods, so that students were more active in the learning process. Indonesian teachers could use the buzz group discussion method in enhancing listening ability to restate news highlights.

Abstract

Abstract: Improvement of Beginning Reading Skills Through Syllabary Reading Method For Class I Students of SD Inpres BTN IKIP I Makassar City. This study aims to improve the beginning of reading skills through the method of reading syllables for first grade students of SD Inpres BTN IKIP I Makassar City. This type of research uses a type of classroom action research consisting of two cycles and each cycle consists of four stages namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The results showed that the application of the syllable reading play method could improve the beginning reading skills, could improve the beginning reading skills of the first grade students of SD Inpres BTN IKIP I Makassar City.

Abstract

Abstract: Increasing Children's Creativity through Children's Picture Cards 4-5 Yrs at Renggang Paud Center, Gowa Regency. This research enhances children's creativity through picture card media in early childhood Renggang PAUD Center Gowa Regency. This type of research used in research using PTK classroom action research. The subjects of this class action research are students aged 4-5 years with a total of 12 children consisting of 7 boys and 5 girls. The data consists of tests, questionnaires or questionnaires, interviews, observations, multilevel scale, and documentation. The results of this study indicate an increase in the ability to recognize images by using a picture card media in early childhood in the Renggang PAUD Center Gowa Regency after learning. 2 children who began to develop or recognize the picture as much as 7%.

Abstract

Abstract: the Application of Experimental Methods in an Effort to Improve Science Process Skills in Early childhood. This study aims to improve science process skills of the child through the method of experiment group B Kindergarten. Arya Jaya Sentika Kab. Tangerang. The design of this research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted collaboratively in two cycles. The subject of this research is a child of class B TK. Arya Jaya Sentika Kab. Tangerang, with a student population of as many as 15 children. Data collection methods conducted in this research is observation,documentation and interviews. The data analysis technique used is descriptive, quantitative and qualitative. The results of this study shows the application of the experimental method can improve the science process skills of students in kindergarten Arya Jaya Sentika Group B. It is based on the data obtained that at the stage of pre action the percentage achieving a 38.6 % is in the criteria began to develop (MB), then increased in cycle I become 55,33% is in the criteria developed according to expectations (BSH), In cycle II the percentage of achievement of science process skills of the child increased to 83% is in the criteria developed very well (BSB).

Abstract

ABSTRACT: Improving Student Learning Outcomes through the Method of Participatory Discussion On the Students Class IV of SD Negeri Bung District Tamalanrea Makassar City. Day is aim at the goal to determine the effectiveness of the use of Methods of Participatory Discussion in improving student learning outcomes. The type of this research is using classroom action research. The subject of this study as many as 35 students of class IV SD Negeri Dude Makassar, this Study is divided into 2 cycles. This study lasted for one month which consists of 4 meetings, data Collection was done qualitatively that obtained from the observation during the teaching and learning process during the study and the quantitative are obtained from the test results of the learning of subjects in each cycle. Furthermore, the data were analyzed qualitatively, which describes the results of actions during the learning process, and quantitatively by using descriptive statistics, namely the average score, frequency table, minimum value, maximum value and distribution tables and percentages. The results of this study showed that the activeness of students in the learning process and learning outcomes of students has increased through the application of the Method Participatory Discussion. It is based on the data obtained from the studies conducted in Cycle I with the learning outcomes of students 63,42% and sikulus cycle II with the results of the student learning 76%.

Abstract

ABSTRACT: The Analysis of English Teachers Problems Faced in Implementing of Team Teaching. This study aimed to find out the problems faced by the English teachers implement team teaching at SMP Negeri 2 RSBI Maros. This study employed a descriptive – qualitative method, because it was designed to describe the implementation of English team teaching SMP Negeri 2 RSBI Maros in the form of words rather than numbers. The subject of this research was the English teachers. There were two English teachers as subjects implemented team teaching. The data were collected through observation checklist and interview. There were some important points in observation checklist and in the interview that researcher used to find out the research questions in this research. The result of the observation checklist showed that all the team teachers shared all the activities in team teaching from planning, implementation until evaluation in different roles and responsibilities in implementing team teaching and they did all the activities of team teaching in the classroom was very responsible and the result of interview showed the team teachers discussed and worked together in every phase in teaching and learning process. The team teachers built up a good communication in team teaching in the classroom. The clear communication is important thing in implementing team teaching to solve some problems faced implementing team teaching in teaching English.
