Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: Anemia is still a complex health problem in Indonesian women. The most common cause of anemia in pregnancy is lack of nutrients in the body. Pharmacological treatment has side effects faster than non-pharmacological treatment. Natural products that are traditionally used as an additional intake in the prevention of anemia, for example there are dragon fruit, green beans, and so on. Purpose: The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness comparison between consumption of dragon fruit and mung bean juice on increasing Hb levels in anemia pregnant women in the Mranggen II Public Health Center, Demak Regency. This type of research is quantitative research with a research design using Two Group Pretest Posttest Design. The population in this study were pregnant women with anemia. Sampling using the entire population of as many as 40 respondents. Giving dragon fruit in the form of pieces shows 100% of the ingredients used and green beans are made by boiling to get the juice from the green beans. The research instrument was the Easy Touch Hb test as a measuring tool for Hb levels. Data analysis used Paired T-Test / T-dependent test. Result: The results showed that the average hemoglobin level of pregnant women with anemia in the intervention group before being given Dragon Fruit had a Mean value of 10.241 g/dl, while after the intervention the Mean value became 11.125 g/dl. The Hb level in the control group before being given Mung Bean Extract had a Mean value of 10.825 g/dl while after being given Mung Bean Extract the Mean value became 11.266 g/dl. The results of the statistical test using the Independent T-Test between the two intervention groups and the control group showed p-values 0.539 which means there is no difference in the effectiveness of giving Dragon Fruit and Green Bean Extract to increase Hb levels in pregnant women with anemia. Abstract

ABSTRACT Background: The phenomenon of early marriage during the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in Batang Regency increased by 200% compared to the previous year with the average age of marriage being 17 years. From 2019 to 2020 there has been a decrease of 0.6%, but it has not yet reached the target of reducing it to 8.74% in 2024. One of the factors causing early marriage is the lack of knowledge of reproductivehealth in adolescents and the risks that can occur due to contraceptives. reproductive organs that are not ready for pregnancy and childbirth. This can increase maternal and infant mortality as a standard for a country's health status. Social and economic impacts also occur due to reduced peer interaction, discontinued education levels, resulting in narrower job opportunities. Purpose: The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of health education through animated video media on young women's knowledge of early marriage during a pandemic at SMA Negeri 1 Batang. This type of research uses a quasi-experimental and pretest-posttest with control design. The sampling technique was simple random sampling with a total of 134 respondents. Data collection used a questionnaire filled out online via the Google form. Result: The results of the study showed an increase in the average knowledge score in both the control and experimental groups. In the control group, the increase in score reached 12.69 ± 2.211, while in the treatment group it experienced a higher increase, namely 22.55 ± 7.509. The results of the Mann Whitney test showed that providing health education using animated video media was effective in increasing the knowledge of SMA Negeri 1 Batang students with a p value = 0.000. Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: The world's population continues to grow, Indonesia is also predicted in 2025-2035 to be the fourth most populous country in the world. For this reason, it is necessary to control the rate of population growth through the family planning program using contraception. During the pandemic, it had several impacts, especially for the Family Planning (KB) program, namely: a decrease in family planning participants. Ultimately it will affect family planning services and membership. Family planning participants during a pandemic were afraid to make repeat visits because of their limited knowledge of family planning during a pandemic.Research objectives for the relationship between mother's knowledge about contraception and adherence to contraceptive use during the pandemic.Subjects and Methods This research uses non-experimental research with an observational research design that aims to analyze a relationship between variables. This type of research uses cross sectional. The sampling technique in this study was simple random sampling. The subjects in this study were mothers who used contraception in Delanggu Village as many as 55 acceptors. Results: Based on the research, it can be found that out of 55 respondents, the majority of respondents have knowledge about contraceptive use in the good category, namely 26 respondents (47.48%). 30 respondents (54.5%) were obedient in using contraception, it was found that there was a significant relationship between mothers' knowledge about contraceptive use and adherence to contraceptive use during a pandemic with a p value = <0.001.Conclusion: Mother's knowledge of contraceptive use during a pandemic is good, adherence to contraceptive repeat visits during a pandemic is good and there is a significant relationship between maternal knowledge and maternal compliance in contraceptive services (p <0.001).Keywords: contraception, pandemic, compliance, knowledge, Covid19

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Dysmenorrhea in adolescents usually occurs due to very high prostaglandin hormones on the first day of menstruation. Dysmenorrhea affects productivity such as disruption of learning activities causing a lack of focus in lessons and can even increase absenteeism from school. One effort that can be done to relieve dysmenorrhea is non-pharmacological therapy of green coconut water. Green coconut water contains vitamins and minerals that can stimulate the body to stabilize the prostaglandin hormone so that dysmenorrhea pain decreases.Research Objectives: This study aims to determine the effect of consuming green coconut water (Cocos Nucifera Linn Var. Viridis) on reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea in young women in Sungai Pinang 1 Village, Ogan Ilir District, South Sumatra.Research Methods: The type of research used is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design with a one group pretest and posttest serial design. Total sampling data collection technique obtained. The data analysis used non-parametric statistics because the data were not normally distributed, the Wilcoxon test was used with a significant level of 0.05. Results: there was a decrease in the intensity of pain response before treatment pain score 128 with a mean score of 4.74 (moderate pain) after treatment I, II and III there was a decrease in pain score 72 with a mean score of 2.77 (mild pain). Green coconut water has a significant effect on reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea with a significant level of p 0.000 Z score -4.633 (Z score table = 107).Conclusion: There is a significant effect on reducing the intensity of dysmenorrhea after consuming green coconut water in young women in Sungai Pinang 1 Village, Ogan Ilir District. Keywords: Green coconut water, dysmenorrhea, pain intensity

Abstract

ABSTRACTBackground: Children can optimally achieve 4 aspects of development (fine motor, gross motor, language, and social) if they get stimulation from an early age. Many factors affect the growth and development of children. Parents or companions can do the stimulation. Parents, especially mothers, play an essential role in the process of growth and development of children. Currently, mothers have various roles, one of which is being a working mother. Objective: This study aimed to determine the correlation between the mother's employment status and the development of toddlers aged 3 to 5 years at Permata Hati Al Mahalli Method: This is an observational analytic study with a cross-sectional approach. This study used total sampling to get 35 respondents of mothers and toddlers. Data collection was carried out using mother respondent identity sheets and the results of the Pre-screening Developmental Questionnaire (PDQ) for assessing toddler development. Data analysis in this study was carried out using Chi-Square.Result: This study showed that there were 7 (35%) toddlers with dubious development out of 20 working mothers and 1 (6.7%) toddler with dubious development out of 15 non-working mothers. The chi-square test results showed df = 1 at a significant level of 5% with a p-value of 0.048 <0.05.Conclusion: Mother's employment status is significantly correlated with the development of toddlers aged 3 to 5 years at Permata Hati Al MahalliKeywords: Mother's employment status, toddlers’ development
