Abstract

This research is motivated by the low understanding of students' mathematical concepts, this is indicated by three indicators that have not been achieved by students. This type of research is an experimental study with aresearch Posttest-Only Control Designdesign. The sampling technique uses Simple Random Sampling. The population of this study were students of class VIII SMP N 22 Merangin with a sample of class VIII A as the experimental class and class VIII B as the control class. The data collection technique used in this study was a test of mathematical conceptual understanding. Data analysis techniques in testing the hypothesis using the Mann-Whitney test (U test). Based on the results of the study, the average value of the experimental class taught with thetype of self-learning model MASTER is 14.27 and the average value of the control class taught with the conventional model is 11.76. Value < or then Ha accepted and Ho was rejected. The conclusion of this research is that understanding of mathematical concepts taught using thetype of independent learning model MASTER is better than understanding mathematical concepts taught using conventional models in class VIII students of SMP N 22 Merangin.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the differences in learning outcomes of students who memorized the multiplication and those who did not memorize the multiplication on the subject of mixed fractions. The hypothesis in this study is that there is a difference between the learning outcomes of students who memorized the multiplication and those who did not memorize the multiplication. This research used experimental research. The population in this study were the fifth grade students of SD N 108 / VI Lubuk Beringin, as samples were the fifth grade students of SD N 116 / VI Muara Siau as the experimental class as many as 23 students and the fifth grade students of SD N 108 / VI Lubuk Beringin as the control class. 23 students. The instrument in data collection uses an essay-shaped test technique. The results of the research data analysis showed that the results of learning mathematics from students who memorized the multiplication were better than the results of learning mathematics for students who did not memorize the multiplication at 95% confidence level. The average learning outcomes and the standard deviation of the two classes being compared were x = 71.94, sdx = 9.74 and y = 60.86, sdy = 8.36. The hypothesis test shows that or 7,1948> 1,721 at the 95% confidence level. Based on the calculations obtained = 7.1948 and = 1.721, then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This proves that the mathematics learning outcomes of students who memorize the multiplication are higher than the mathematics learning outcomes of students who do not memorize the multiplication

Abstract

This study aims to determine (1) the effect of supervision on the performance of heads in Village the Sungai Penuh City government environment (2) the influence of competence on performance government environment in the Sungai Penuh City. This research was carried out by using an explanatory method (Survey explanatory confirmatory) and using data analysis techniques path analysiswith the approach of Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Partial Least Square (PLS). The results showed that there was no significant effect between supervision of the performance of the village head and there was a significant influence between competencies on the performance of the village head of the Sungai Penuh City administration.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the ability of mathematical representation taught with realistic matematic education approaches better than conventional learning of students of class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Merangin in the academic year 2019/2020. This research uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method. The sampling technique uses simple random sampling. The samples are grouped based on high, medium and low learning independence. Data collection techniques using test and non-test. The analysis technique uses u-test, t-test and two-way ANOVA. The test results state that: the ability of mathematical representation with medium and low learning independence with realistic mathematical education approaches is better than conventional approaches, whereas with high learning independence conventional approaches are better than realistic mathematical education approaches, and there is an interaction between realistic matematic education and conventional approaches in terms of the independence of student learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the mathematical reasoning abilities in terms of learning independence using Problem Solving learning models better than conventional learning of class VIII students of SMP Negeri 43 Merangin 2018/2019 Academic Year. The research method used is experiment. The research design was a 2 x 3 factorial design. The sampling technique used was probability sampling. Data collection techniques through tests and non-tests. Based on the results of prerequisite test data analysis, it is known that the data is normally distributed and homogeneous variance. The test results show that: the mathematical reasoning ability with the Problem Solving method is better than conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning ability of high and low learning independence with the Problem Solving method is no better than conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning ability with learning independence is being moderate with the Solving method better than learning Conventionally, there is no interaction between learning models in terms of learning independence in influencing mathematical reasoning abilities

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe mathematical communication skills using discovery learning learning models better than conventional learning for students of class VIII SMP Negeri 13 Merangin 2019/2020 academic year. The research method used was an experiment. The sampling technique used is probability sampling. Data collection techniques through tests. Based on the prerequisite test results of data analysis, it is known that data with normal and non-homogeneous distribution for hypothesis 4 while for data that is normal and homogeneous distribution for hypothesis 2. The test results show that: for hypotheses 1, 3, 4 and 5 are mathematical communication abilities with discovery models learning in terms of moderate, low and overall self efficacy is better than conventional teaching. For hypothesis two, mathematical communication skills with discovery learning models in terms of high self efficacy is not better or the same as conventional learning.

Abstract

Based on the results of the initial test of students' mathematical communication skills, it is known that 3 indicators of mathematical communication skills have not been able to be achieved by students. This study aims to determine and describe mathematical communication skills using the Teams Games Tournament cooperative learning model in terms of the initial ability is better than conventional learning of class IX students of SMP N 28 Sarolangun. This study uses a quantitative approach with an experimental method with a 2 x 3 factorial design. Based on the results of the data analysis for the experimental class and the control class it can be concluded that: Hypothesis (1) Mathematical Communication Ability Using Cooperative Learning Model Teams Game Tournanent in terms of Initial Capability is better than Learning Conventional. Hypothesis (2) Mathematical Communication Ability Using Cooperative Learning Model Teans Gams Tournament in terms of High Initial Ability is no better than conventional learning. Hypothesis (3) Mathematical Communication Ability Using Teams Games Tournament Cooperative Learning Model in terms of Initial Medium Ability is better than conventional learning. Hypothesis (4) Mathematical Communication Ability Using Teams Games Tournament Cooperative Learning Model in terms of Low Initial Ability is no better than conventional learning. Hypothesis (5) There is an interaction between the Teams Game Tournament learning model and conventional learning in terms of initial ability to influence mathematical communication skills.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe mathematical reasoning abilities using the problem based instruction (PBI) model which is better than conventional learning for grade VI students of SD Negeri 115 / VI Bangko VIII. The method used is an experimental method. Sampling using simple random sampling technique. The instrument used in this research is a mathematical reasoning ability test in the form of a description. From the data analysis, it was concluded that the mathematical reasoning ability of students using the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model was higher than the mathematical reasoning abilities of students who used conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning abilities of students with high initial abilities who took the Problem Based Instruction (PBI) model were not higher than students' mathematical reasoning using conventional learning, the mathematical reasoning abilities of students with low initial abilities who took part in learning with the PBI model were not higher than students' mathematical reasoning abilities using conventional learning, there was no interaction between learning models and students' initial abilities to influence students' mathematical reasoning abilities.
