Abstract

This paper examined the most important methods used in the teaching of Islamic fiqh at the university level. The paper identified two types of methods and highlighted their advantages and disadvantages. The study particularly highlighted the Islamic perception of the methods and the optimal characteristics of a fiqh instructor. The paper concluded with a number of suggestion and recommendation that’s my correct the course of university teaching of Islamic fiqh. Abstract

Teaching profession is not a common job, it carries certain sets of ideology.  A teacher who is committed to certain ideology will likely to be more successful and highly appreciated in pursuing her career.  It has already been proved through the history that best teachers are born among individuals who possessed pedagogical ideology.  Great cares have been continuously given by the Government to improve teachers’ lives and positions through Law number 14 year 2005 dealing with teacher and lecturer.  The improvement of teacher’s status as professional staff has brought about wide impacts.  Its positive impact is that teacher position becomes more prestigious and it affects to the betterment of their welfares.  However, there is a critique to the procedures of certification that it doesn’t provide significant impact to the quality improvement of education.Copyright © 2013 by Al-Ta'lim All right reservedDOI: 10.15548/jt.v20i2.32

Abstract

Abstract

One of the most important agendas of the current education is to link and match between curriculum across educational level and the job together with stakeholders.  To link and match the curriculum of inter education level, it is necessary to understand the vision and mission, the institutional goal, the curriculum and its characteristics.  Besides, it is also important to apply the general principles of curriculum development namely relevance, continuity, and integrated.  Process of curriculum development is of the following steps: (1) identifying the determinant factors in the curriculum development and conducting Need Assessment; (2) identifying the competence or profile of the outputs; (3) identifying knowledge, attitudes, and skills that are necessary for the required competence; (4) arranging the Structure of Curriculum Program, and (5) developing syllabus. Copyright © 2013 by Al-Ta'lim All right reservedDOI: 10.15548/jt.v20i2.33

Abstract

 Reconstruction or the strive of rebuilding and developing human resources should not only focused on the improvement of physical skill, but also non-physic sectors like values system, religious norms, and moral values. One of the causes of multidimensional crisis faced by Indonesian people is stemming from their own mistakes in which they give more emphasis on physical development than non-physic. It has to be considered a valuable lesson for society, especially for education organizers. Abstract

Human beings as individuals and social beings are constantly faced with various problems or issues that they encounter in almost every side of life.  Precise decision making is required to overcome these problems so that all of the alternative solutions can be achieved optimally.  One’s position in an organization or institution has often been distracted by some polices and decision, and therefore, he or she has to consider solutions while keeping the organization runs well.   This is so because in every organization whether big and small, the changing of situation  such as personnel shift  has often raised conflict and misunderstanding.  These problems must be avoided or clarified.  Policy and decision making in substantive Islamic education is not too much different from the common theories of policy and decision-making. Abstract

Lughawi Tafsir (Quranic Interpretation) explains the Holy Qur’an through semiotic and semantic including language, morphology, lexical, grammatical, and rhetoric.  This kind of interpretation has been used by Mufassir (experts in Quranic Interpretastion) to explain the verses of the Quran.  Since the Quran was written in a very high style of language, the mufassirs who applied this method should have capability with certain criteria.The Lughawi Tafsir appeared in 2nd and 3rd H, along with the integration of the Arabs and non-Arabians.  The fact that Arabic was no longer superior language of that time and the decrease of zaug ‘arabi (sense of Arabic), necessitated the Mufassirs to strengthen the language so that they could figure out the meanings of the Qur’an. Abstract

is a direct advice to facilitate learners to overcome problems they encounter, and enable them to take the best decision for themselves with full of responsibility.  Concept of psychological strength presented in this paper is promoted by Cavanagh (1982).   Theorists contend that psychological strength constitutes the power to generate an individual to act in all sphere of his life.  The concept of psychological strength consists of three dimensions including: need fulfillment, intrapersonal competencies, and interpersonal competencies.  Seffen (2009) defines psychological strength as one’s personal quality that is reflected in his ability to respect himself and other people in life, including the ability to make good relationship with friends, family, and other person, together with the ability to carry out interpersonal communication.  This personal power can be developed in the process of individual counseling.Copyright © 2013 by Al-Ta'lim All right reservedDOI: 10.15548/jt.v20i2.35

Target of which wish to be reached in this research is to depict execution of MBS in MTSN Batusangkar and explain its contribution to make-up of quality and quality education of madrasah and also explain supplementary factor and resistor met in its execution. Result of this research of meneggambarkan that execution of MBS in good enough MTSN Batusangkar. its Management system enough succeed to give contribution in improving student achievement and have appearance of good enough organization. As for supplementary factor in execution of MBS in MTSN Batusangkar besides society support and government which is high enough, also leadership which is kharismatik.
