Abstract

Failure to manage higher education will impact the loss of the higher education institution in producing quality human resources. This study explores leadership in the education management system at the Hindu Religion College (STAH) Dharma Sentana, Central Sulawesi. This research was conducted using a mixed-method with research subjects, all lecturers and employees who work at STAH Dharma Sentana Central Sulawesi, with as many as 41 respondents. Data were obtained through the distribution of questionnaires and interviews. The results of the partial analysis of research data indicate that two variables significantly affect the education management system: visionary and unifying. While the other three variables, namely empowering, controlling ratios and emotions, and integrity, in statistics do not significantly affect the education management system at STAH Dharma. Central Sulawesi Sentana. The results of the coefficient of determination of the value of R square indicate that the variation of the independent variables used in the model, namely visionary, unifying, empowering, controlling ratios and emotions, and integrity, contribute to or have an effect of 45.4% on the education management system variable. In this study, the role of the leader in improving the quality of the education management system that most dominantly influences is the unifying variable, where the leader can unify the diversity of employee characteristics. Leaders provide opportunities for employees to contribute to achieving organizational goals. This study provides a model of leadership in education management. This study provides a leadership model in education management in higher education to improve the quality of education.

Abstract

Teacher performance is important in an educational institution. Optimal teacher performance has been shown to affect school quality and improve student achievement. This study aims to determine the effect of the principal's leadership style and work motivation on the performance of elementary school teachers. The population sample includes teachers at private schools in the Sungai Penuh Regency. The data is taken by questionnaire. The results showed a positive and significant influence between leadership style and teacher performance, with the value of sig. 0.041 < 0.05. Work motivation has a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, with a value of sig. 0.000 < 0.05. There is a positive and significant influence between leadership style and work motivation simultaneously on teacher performance, with a value of sig. 0.000 is less than 0.05. The results of this study indicate that principals need to continue to encourage teachers through a kind and sympathetic approach so that their performance can be more optimalTeacher performance is important in an educational institution. Abstract

To improve the quality of human resources, the principal must manage human resources in schools. Well-organized resource management will achieve educational goals. Managerial competence is part of the principal's requirements that must be met. It is the principal capital in achieving the goals of education as a whole. This research is field research with a qualitative approach. The focus of this research is the managerial competence of the principal at the SPK (School of Cooperation Education) SMA Banua Kalsel Bilingual Boarding School in South Kalimantan. The results showed that the principal had managed human resources well. Schools can realize their vision and mission according to the objectives of the school initiated by the South Kalimantan government, namely the availability of excellent schools that can deliver outstanding students at national and international levels, and graduates can continue to the next level both at home and abroad.

Abstract

COVID-19 has generated significant management issues, notably in school leadership. Special schools demand leadership innovation so that learning activities stay optimal. This paper addresses situational leadership in Children with Special Needs (ABK) at SLB Negeri 2 Yogyakarta utilizing qualitative description and data collection through interviews, observation, and recording. A purposive sample of informants was used, and they were classified as important, primary, and supporting informants. Data analysis processes include transcripts, coding, grouping, comparing, contrasting, and interpretation. The findings of the SLB situational leadership research take into account the investigation of technology, economics, policy, health, environmental and social (TEPHES) factors in school decision-making in the Pandemic-19 scenario.

Abstract

Placing students in classes that are not following their competencies has caused many problems, such as in the process of learning activities will be hampered. Ability grouping is one solution for grouping classes that are differentiated according to student's abilities. Thus, this research aims to determine how to implement ability grouping at Madrasa Diniyyah Raudhatul Mubtadiin Krapyak Yogyakarta. This research is descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques used were interviews, observations, and documentation studies. The informants consisted of 10 people: the head of the madrasa, three teachers, three guardians of students, and three students. The data obtained were analyzed through the transcript, coding, comparing and contrasting processes, and data interpretation. In achieving the validity of the data, triangulation of methods and sources is used. The results showed that 1) Ability grouping in Madrasah Diniyyah was carried out with three stages of tests, reading test, writing and memorization test. 2) The positive impacts are high self-confidence, feeling more comfortable, a spirit of competition, and making it easier for teachers to deliver the material. Then, the negative impact is feeling inferior when in the elementary class. 3) Supporting factors include support for the guardians of students, for students, and adequate infrastructure.
