Abstract

The city of Padang has experienced with devastating earthquake events. Each of earhquake close related with building response. Since great shaking contributed nagaitve effect to construction such as severe damage and collapse. The main propose of this research is how the elasticity of batako (material for wall). We added rabber of waste tire to Batako with several percentage of weight such as 1%, 2% and 3% and its age 7, 14 and 28 days . The obtained results  is the modulus of elasticity is 1915.67 MPa in avarage, this elasticty is more convinient used to increse resistant earthquake compared with normal brick (Batako)as2237,5 MPa.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is purposed to find out the requirement of training utilities for land geometry subject at SMKN 1 west Sumatra. Research was conducted by observation and interview. Data analysis technique that used in this research was descriptive quantitative analysis. Research finding shows that there are 15 training utilities that can be applied for land geometry subject. Types and numbers of utilities to fulfill training utilities requirement are 7 gages, 5 measuring tapes, 28 measuring pens, 24 yalons, 5 data boards, 5 square prisms, 5 strands, 6 hoses, 5 measuring signs, 6 measuring vessels, 5 tripod, 5 leveling, 5 compasses, 5 theodolites, 6 umbrellas.Keywords: requirement analysis, utilities.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is a descriptive quantitative research. The research population was all students of class XI and XII Building Engineering Program with a number of 137 people. Samples of this research consisted of 58 people with sampling techniques using proportionate random sampling. This study has only one variable that is characteristic of Master Image of favored teacher by students. The research data collection tool was a questionnaire using a Likert scale to measure each statement. Results of this research indicate that a review of the technical drawing teacher characteristics favored by students seen from indicators of intelligence, the highest percentage of indicators of intelligence is as much as 96.56% of the students said he/she was happy with the technical drawing teacher who possess intellectual, the highest percentage of professional indicators as many as 96 , 56% of students declare happy with teacher drawing techniques to master the material, the highest percentage indicator of expertise is as much as 100% of the students said he/she was happy with the teachers who understand the drawings of building materials, and the highest percentage indicator of personality that is as much as 96.56% of the students happy with teacher  who friendly and can be a good example. Keywords: Karakteristik, Gambar Teknik, Disenangi

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research is purposed to reveal factors that influence students’ learning of static subject at class X TKB SMKN 5 Padang. In this research, there is one single variable that is factors that influence students’ learning that being reviewed from internal and external factors of student. This research was descriptive quantitative. Subject in this research was students of class X TKB who was entered static subject on school period of 2014/2015 in SMKN 5 Padang. Sample collection technique was total sampling with sample amounted to 28 students. Data collection instrument was questionnaire that distributed to respondents. Data analysis technique was descriptive analysis with percentage. Research finding shows that factors that influence students’ learning that comes from internal factor gives an influence of 48% toward learning process, while factor that comes from external factor gives an influence of 52%. From both factors that being studied, the rest is not very different so that there is no dominant factor that influence students’ learning.Keywords: internal and external factors, student

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis descriptive study aimed to determine the development of entrepreneurship skills of students who follow the Student Entrepreneurial Program (PMW) which is viewed from 7 knowledge entrepreneurship that knowledge to determine the direction of effort, knowledge manage time, knowledge, initiative, knowledge, motivation, knowledge, self-confidence, knowledge, dare to take risks, and knowledge to be responsible.The population in this study were participants engineering students Student Entrepreneurial Program (PMW) in the period 2015-2016 and 2014-2015 development period, then the sample in the study using Taro Yamane formula thus obtained sample of 33 people. Data were collected using a questionnaire with Likert scale.From the results, level of knowledge determines the direction of efforts by both categories, the knowledge to manage time good enough category, knowledge initiative with good category, knowledge motivated with excellent category, knowledge confidently with good enough category, knowledge took a risk by category quite well and knowledge to be responsible with the category quite well, so it concluded the level of knowledge of entrepreneurship students participating in Student Entrepreneurial Program at the FT UNP in the category quite well.Keywords: entrepreneur students program, knowledge, entrepreneur.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis research was descriptive research that purposed to find out the entrepreneurship interest for student at class XII SMKN 1 Padang and revealed parents occupational background that gave highest outcome in entrepreneurship subject. In this research, there was one single variable which was entrepreneurship interest.Research population was students of class XII SMKN 1 Padang year of school 2015/2016 which amounted to 330 students. Sample was taken by simple random sampling and Taro formula which was amounted to 181 students. Data collection technique was distribution of questionnaire with Likert scale as instrument assessment. Parents occupational data was obtained from student’s enrollment data. Parents occupational was consisted of seven occupational types which were entrepreneur, public services/police/army, private sector, laborer, famer, fisherman, and others. Data analysis was frequency distribution analysis and average score analysis. Research finding shows that all parents occupation backgrounds give subtends an interest of entrepreneurship. The highest average score of parents occupational background that gives entrepreneurship interest is occupation of entrepreneur. Keywords: Entrepreneurship Interest, Parents Occupation

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this research to express the relationship between students satisfaction in learning activity in picture studio and  the students achievement in building picture engineering subject at SMK N 2 Sijunjung. The kind of this research is descriptive correlational. The population of this research were all of the students at twelve grade of Building Picture Engineering subject at SMK N 2 Sijunjung in academic years 2015/2016 the amount are 26 students. The sample of the research were all of the students at twelve grade of Building Picture Engineering subject at SMK N 2 Sijunjung, the research is  a population research. The primary data got from the questionnaire about students satisfaction in learning activities in picture studio, while the secondary data is the result of MID term test in stairs picture construction that got from the students. The technique of data analysis were: descriptive analysis, qualification test analysis, that consisted of test normality and test linearity for verify that data distribution from the sample that normal and linear distribution, and hypothesis test.The result of analysis showed that there is any low relationship and not significant between students satisfaction in learning activity in picture studio and  the students achievement in building picture engineering subject at SMK N 2 Sijunjung with the phase of faith 95%. It can be see from the value of Sig (2-tailed) 0,139 > Alpha (0,05). Based on the result of the test, it can be concluded that there is any relationship not significant between students satisfaction in learning activity in picture studio and  the students achievement in building picture engineering subject at SMK N 2 Sijunjung. Abstract

ABSTRACT The research is aimed to reveal contribution of visual, auditory and kinesthetic learning style toward learning outcomes of students on engineering mechanical subject at class X SMKN 1 Pariaman. The research is aimed to find out what style that gives the biggest contribution toward student’s learning outcome on engineering mechanical. The type of this research was ex post facto with correlation analytic approach. Population in this study was all students of class X building engineering SMKN 1 Pariaman year of school 2014/2015 which amounted to 127 students. Sample was 97 students that sorted by proportional random sampling technique. Type of data was primary and secondary data. Data analysis techniques that used in this research were: (1) data descriptive analysis, (2) analysis regulation testing, and (3) hypothesis testing. From hypothesis testing and discussion then it can be concluded that visual auditory and kinesthetic learning styles give contribution toward student’s learning outcome on mechanical engineering subject at class X building engineering SMKN 1 Pariaman. Kinesthetic learning style gives the biggest contribution. Keyword: contribution, learning style, learning outcome

Abstract

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to know external factors cause the delay of students majoring in civil engineering in finishing thesis. The design of the research is descriptive research. The population of this research is 128 students of civil engineering at faculty of engineer state university of padang. The sample is of 56 students that were taken by porposive sampling technique. Data were collected using a question naire with likert scale that used four answer choices positive and negative statements. The number of statements in the question naire were 43 point statement.The result showed that external factors cause the delay of students majoring in civil engineering in finishing thesis at the high category at 62,50 %, with details of the indicators: 1) factor family at the high category of ammounted to 44,64 %, 2) factor campus at the high category of ammounted to 73,22 %, 3) factor community at the high category of ammounted to 58,93 %, and the most dominant factor causing delay in completing the thesis is a factor campus. Keywords        : external factor, student, thesis
