Cakrawala menerima artikel ilmiah hasil-hasil penelitian, yang tentu saja harus didasarkan pada hasil penelitian yang mengetengahkan urgensi, manfaat dan tujuan penelitian. Selain itu artikel juga dapat memuat telaah kritis terhadap suatu hasil atau proses penelitian sosial yang sedang aktual. Artikel yang akan dimuat dapat pula mengemukakan hasil perenungan kritis dan menyeluruh menyangkut suatu teori, metode penelitian, ataupun hasil penelitian sosial.

Abstract

The border area is an important area when it includes bilateral relations between one country and another. The bilateral relationship between Indonesia and Malaysia is a relationship that always experiences ups and downs. The presidential model of Indonesia which determines the approaches of development in Indonesia, especially in border areas. Not many Presidents have touched development in the border region. Joko Widodo as the 7th President of Indonesia made a program that wants to bring the government to the entire archipelago. This makes the border area experience strengthening not only on cross-border border posts (PLBN) but also around border areas. This study uses a qualitative research model with a method of extracting data with a model of in depth interviews with residents around the border. The theory used in this study is neoclassical theory, where the activities of individuals and groups (communities) require the role of the state to improve the satisfaction desired by the individual. So that there is no exception for the presence of countries in the border region to be able to increase the level of satisfaction of the people in the border area that had not been noticed by previous Indonesian presidents.

Abstract

Media jejaring sosial Facebook dengan segala kelebihannya memiliki sifat karakter yang mampu menjangkau massa secara masif dan bersifat publik. Grup Facebook Hits From The 80’s & 90’s menjadi salah satu media jejaring sosial mendapat animo tinggi dari khalayak netizen. Khalayak media sosial Facebook kini tidak lagi sekadar sebagai pengguna media yang pasif maupun aktif, tetapi telah menjadi produsen konten. Hal tersebut memunculkan fenomena baru bahwa ternyata diskusi dan informasi yang diproduksi serta disebarluaskan lewat grup Facebook bisa menjadikan sebuah ruang publik. Ruang publik menurut konsep Jurgen Habermas bercirikan terbuka, setara, bebas, independen, dan berisi opini publik. Ruang publik dan grup Facebook Hits From The 80’s & 90’s mempunyai tujuan yang sama yaitu memberikan kesempatan kepada seluruh anggota atau pengguna grup Facebook ini untuk berpendapat yang akan menciptakan suatu keputusan bersama, untuk mendatangkan perubahan, termasuk upaya menangkis penyebaran berita-berita yang mengandung unsur Hoax dan Hate Speech.

Abstract

“Dusun Timang Desa Wonokerto Kecamatan Wonogiri Kab. Wonogiri, saat ini mengalami masa transisi dari masyarakat agraris ke masyarakat Industri karena di dusun itu di bangun pabrik kertas PT. Prima Paper Indonesia, dan 1.5 Km dari dusun Timang juga telah beroprasi pabrik kayu lapis PT. Naga Buana. Pertanyaan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana perubahan sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat dusun Timang, di masa transisi dari masyarakat agraris ke masyarkat industry. Sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah akan mendiskripsikan perubahan sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat dusun Timang, di masa transisi dari masyarakat agraris ke masyarkat industry.” “Penelitian ini menggunakan kajian teori perubahan sosial dari sudut pandang teori evolusioner. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian diskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perubahan sosial di dusun Timang, distimulus oleh adanya pembangunan pusat industry manufaktur, dan menimbulkan efek dominio dengan tumbuhnya titik-titik pertumbuhan ekonomi baru, serta memberi daya tarik bagi para perantau untuk kembali pulang ke daerahnya. Perubahan sosial karena industrialisasi ini juga meningkatkan solidaritas organic atas solidaritas mekanik dalam masyarakat.”

Abstract

The broadcasting world began to experience many changes along with the presence of new media until it led to media convergence. The phenomenon of convergence has brought many mass media to begin convergence to stay alive amid increasingly fierce media competition, one of which is Radio Suara Surabaya. This study aims to identify the target audience of Radio Suara Surabaya in social media that is Facebook, so that it can be known the suitability of the desired target audience, as well as to determine the extent of the contribution of social media that exists in meeting the information needs of the audience, especially young people. In this study, researchers used a qualitative research approach to the type of descriptive research. The results of this study explain that E100 is one of the media from Radio Suara Surabaya to target young people. The position of the E100 does not replace the presence of Radio Suara Surabaya but rather becomes a complementary medium for obtaining information. Through this E100, Radio Surabaya is trying to target generations

Abstract

The ‘Update Status’ phenomenon is a popular phenomenon among millennials. In the city of Solo the update status is much done around the world of food or culinary. Eating is no longer a necessity of life, but it has shifted to a lifestyle for young people. Where to share pictures around the café or food served on their social media becomes an important moment. Describe what they eat and where they eat, by utilizing social media as if they want to show their social status. This article will discuss how the phenomenon updates the culinary status among young people by appearing at their forms of status updates, then review the extent of their association with their identity reforming both real identity and virtual identity them and the end will try to peel the theory of hipperreality from Jean P. Baudrillard.. The method applied is an in-depth interview with the total participants 10 people. With the bulk of participants are students (millennials). The results gathered from social media were used by netizens as a space to express themselves, substitutes for face-to-face forms. There is a negative and positive impact from this phenomenon, Negative impact is the emergence of the consumption society that no longer consumes goods and services, but more on consuming the brand, while positive impact is and moving the economy of an area with the increase of public consumption of goods and services.

Abstract

Yogyakarta, a city that is the most desirable destination for visits by foreign tourists from various parts of the world. Yogyakarta must be able to meet the desires of the foreign tourist market, especially in the promotion of cultural and historical tourism objects that are presented to tourists. This study aims to analyze the perceptions of foreign tourists towards the promotion of cultural and historical tourism in Yogyakarta, To improve the quality of objects associated with factors that influence foreign tourists to visit Yogyakarta, including events, attractions, facilities, infrastructure and services. To analyze and understand the perceptions of foreign tourists after a visit in order to know the desires of the foreign tourist market. The method used in this research was qualitative method. The data collection techniques were in-deep interviews, documentation, and archives. The theory which was used to analyze the foreigners’ perceptions was – Trial – Reinforcement (A-T-R). The results of this research showed that this research had not been tested correctly based on the expectation of Yogyakarta tourism element. There were negative perceptions from the foreigners because almost all of them had not gotten the promotion yet, especially from the website Visitingjogja.com although there were many contents and innovations. Those negative perceptions from the foreigners could be the reason for the tourism element to improve the promotion so that Yogyakarta can be known more and the foreigners can understand more when they visit Yogyakarta
