Abstract

The research objective was to determine the influence of the dimensions of service quality on customer satisfaction. Populations are all consumers who use the mail service, PT Pos Indonesia Medan Branch in 2007. Study sample as many as 96 people. Data collection techniques used were questionnaires. Technique analysis is the chi square test. Of the research and discussion it can be concluded that the majority of respondents said they were satisfied (48%) for quality of service no significant relationship between the dimensions of service quality on customer satisfaction with PT Pos Indonesia Medan Branch. Advice given to the head of PT Pos Indonesia Medan Branch is to maintain the condition of the post office building, ease and clarity of the administration and courtesy of employees in serving customers. To improve customer satisfaction, the company should deliver the goods and mail to its destination on time, keeping consumer goods shipped by Berta handle consumer complaints, seriously.

Abstract

Most of empirical research showed that the influence of trading volume on spread did not consistent. Therefore, this study aims to explain why the influence of trading volume on spread did not consistent. In this study, the first, to estimate the decomposition of spread such as information cost and non-information cost. The second, to determine the relationship of the structure of trading volume on information cost and non-information cost. By using the data of the company's shares are traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the years 2007 - 2008, in the trade size segmentation, the results showed that: information cost increases the higher the traded size so the trading volume has a positive and significant effects on the information cost. Furthermore, non-information cost did not increases the higher the traded size so the trading volume did not significantly effects on the non-information cost. Therefore, the influences of trading volume on spread depends on the decomposition of spread, such as information cost and non-information cost.

Abstract

Abdonsius Sitanggang SE, MSi, Akt, This study aimed to examine the effect of Return on Equities (ROE), Debt to Equity Ratio (DER), the Net Book Value (NBV), Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR), Dividend Growth (GTH), the expected rate of return (KSS) to price stock, and examine what factors are the most dominant influence stock prices companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The samples were Manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2004-2006. Models of research and analysis of data using multiple linear regression models. The results are consistent with the hypothesis and is consistent with results of previous studies in which the return of equity (ROE), debt-to-equity ratio (DER), the book value (NBV), the dividend payout ratio (DPR), the growth rate of dividends (GTH), the rate of profit or risk-free profits implied (KSS) is lacking simultaneous significant effect on stock prices companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. ROE, DER, NBV, the House of Representatives, GTH and KSS partially significant effect on the price of separation. The results of stock market price analysis (CLP) has a positive relationship with equity returns (ROE), book value of shares (NBV), the dividend payout ratio (DPR) and the growth rate of dividends (GTH). Instead the market price of the stock (CLP) has a negative relationship with debt to equity ratio (DER) and the risk-free profits or gains implied (KSS). The most dominant factors influence stock prices, companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange is the book value of the stock.

Abstract

PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan engaged in the retail market various products, such as fresh, bazaar, textile, and grocery applane. The number of customers who shop from January to December 2010 fluctuates every month and long lines occurred in August when the feast of Eid al-Fitr and December when the Christmas and New Year's Eve. From the description, formulated the following research problem: "Why is the gap between the queuing system raises expectations with actual service time at the PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Field ".The research objective was to determine and analyze the queuing system on PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan. Benefits of the research is to provide information material to the company in the form of advice regarding the analysis of queuing systems. The study population is the number of customers of PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Field from 2009 until 2010. The samples taken months from January to December 2010. Required data are collected through observation and documentation techniques. Data analysis technique used is descriptive method. From the results of the discussion was concluded that the long queues at the PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan often occur on Saturday at 17.00 pm - 20.00 pm, and on a Sunday or holiday queues at 12.00 am - 14.00 pm and at 17.00 pm - 20.00 pm. Standard service time for each customer at the PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan maximum of 1 minute, yet customers have to wait up to 20 minutes at the feast of Eid al-Fitr and Christmas Day at 9 minutes. Customer arrival rate at PT. Carrefour Citra Garden Medan is not constant, the time required to serve every customer is different, Kassa served on a first come, first served basis and unlimited customer population. The probability of unemployed workers pads reach 4%. The number of customers in the queuing system at 43 people. The probability of the whole staff busy pads reach 94.91%. Customer in the queue system to 33 people. The time spent waiting and served customers to reach 26 minutes. Time spent waiting for customers to be served up to 20 minutes. This shows that the waiting time to be served is still too high. Suggestions are given for consideration to the management company is the best, firms pay more attention to the system queue by adding pads officers to serve customers at the time of school entry, the feast of Eid al-Fitr and Christmas celebrations and other holidays to reduce the long queues . To avoid the presence of officers who are unemployed pads, the company should provide to an officer other duties such as checking and making gauze packing.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to measure the performance of companies BPR NBP 17 based on the Balanced Scorecard. The population in this study are the financial statements and reports that are non-financial since starting up in 1995 to 2011. The sample was non-financial data and financial data is for 3 years ie 2009-2011. Data collection techniques in this study is a documentation technique. Techniques of data analysis in this research is descriptive method. From the results of research and discussion, it is concluded that the level of ROA and ROE 17 BPR NBP increased since 2009-2011, and the increase in customers from year to year, but more emphasis needs to be improved in a more friendly customer service. 17 BPR NBP performance of internal business process perspective is relatively poor. It is shown from the years 2009-2011 the number of customer complaints against the company level has increased from year to year and is still a lack of customer service processes. 17 BPR NBP performance from the perspective of learning and growth is not good. It can be seen from the number of employees who attended training from year to year decline and not programmed training provided toemplo yees of the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the effect of the leverage ratio and the ratio of the return on equity activity in the Food and Beverage companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The study population was all Food and Beverage company to list on the Indonesia Stock Exchange until 2011. Study sample as many as 17 companies. The data used are secondary data collected through documentation techniques. The analysis model used is multiple linear regression. Based on the results of research and discussion, it can be concluded that the leverage ratio and the ratio of significant activity and simultaneous partial to the return on equity in the Food and Beverage companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. Determinant coefficient (R Square) of 0.561. This shows that the return on equity can be explained by the leverage ratio and activity ratio of 56.1%, while 43.9% are explained by other factors.

Abstract

This study was a fisrst study when accompanying a working visitation of Special Committee of State Border of DPD RI (Senate of Republic of Indonesia) to East Borneo, West Borneo, and East Malaysia on March 29- April 2, 2011. This study concluded that poverty, stupidity, and underdevelopment were still a general phenomenon in borderland of West Borneo Province. There were two prominent perspective of Central Government on borderland area, namely ‘perception on economic benefit’ and ‘perception on sovereignty threat,’ causing policy and program doing to serve political and economic interest of Central Government and resulting marginalization the living of borderer through transmigration. Central Government construe the first perception as a economic benefit to Government and to transmigrant, not to local people, while the second perception construeing that the border area must be secured from the threats of the foreign country. This study also concluded that the borderland management needs three in one approach, that is combination of prosperity approach, security approach, and environment approach. The combination of three in one approach must stand on social and cultural reality because the borderland area was not homogenous and empty.
