Abstract

The purpose of creation of this final work is to preserve the culture back Minangkabau in West Sumatra into wood relief artwork. Rumah Gadang here is related to the Minangkabau culture that needs to be preserved. Where the existence of Rumah Gadang in West Sumatra faded due to the influence of foreign culture. The Rumah Gadang is currently only a symbol in West Sumatra, without re-running the traditions that are in it. Therefore Minangkabau young people no longer recognize the function or variety of forms of Rumah Gadang. This is interesting to be lifted in realizing Rumah Gadang with the theme of Rumah Gadang in relief wood artwork. Method for creating this thesis uses five phases: preparation, elaboration stage, synthesis stage, the stage of realization of the concept, and the stage of completion, as well as the latter held an exhibition of works of art wood reliefs. Technique used is technique of High Relief, Midle Relief and Low relief.Seven works are lifted back visualize the various forms of the Tower House is much reduced in West Sumatra because of the influence of foreign cultures. The seven works are: 1) Rumah Gadang Gajah Maharam, 2) Rumah Gadang Kajang Padati 3) Rumah Gadang Ampek Sibak Baju 4) Rumah Gadang Gonjong Anam Baanjuang 5) Rumah Gadang Surambi Papek Batingkek 6) Rumah Gadang Gonjong Ampek Batingkek 7) Rumah Gadang Surambi Aceh Bagonjong Duo.Kata kunci: Kayu, Rumah Gadang, relief.

Abstract

The purpose of the creation of this final work is to visualize the greedy nature through the metaphor of cork in graphic artwork. The greediness becomes the main problem that many people now have so that someone can do anything to get what he wants. The method of creating artwork, using five stages of preparation stage, elaboration stage, synthesis stage, stage of concept realization and completion stage. Furthermore, there is an exhibition of graphic art work, a technique of serigraphy (stencil print) that exposes the colors in accordance withthe object. Through this graphic work, the author displays all the anxiety that is felt. The theme of greed problems with metaphor of cork in graphic artwork with the title: (1) Keluar Batas , (2)Rebutan, (3) Diam-Diam, (4) Terperangkap, (5) Sulit, (6) Kurang, (7) Makan Anak, (8) Dapat, (9) Nafsu, (10) Persaingan.Key words : Fish Cork, Graphic Art, Serigraphy (stencil print)

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to (1) increase the interst of art appreciation learning through the use of learning model of quantum teaching students of class VIII-5 SMPN 32 Padang, (2) Improve the learning achievement of art appreciation through the use of quantum teaching odel of students of class VIII-5 SMPN 32 Padang. This classroom action research is carried out collaboratively with the subject teachers of Cultural Arts. The source of this research is teachers and students. Collected by test and observation techniques. Research findings is the cycle I got 72% with enough category, after the improvement of learning by reseacrhers/teachers in cycle II, then there is an increase in student learning interest to 86% with very good category. As well as art learning appreciation results that show significant improvement. This can be illustrated on the average pre cycle I, students ability continues to show a very significant increase in cycle II with an average of 93. Based on the findings of the above research it can be concluded that the teaching model of quantum teaching can increase interest and learning achievement of art appreciation of class VIII-5 SMPN 32 Padang.Key words : Interst, Learning Outcomes, Quantum teaching learning model

Abstract

This thesis aims to visualize spikes as depiction on social behavior that circulate around the community into a painting by contemporary realist style. Method creation of this work used multiple stages such as preparation, elaboration, synthesis, realization and completion of an exhibition concept and the final works. All the works are made to represent the work's title is lifted before. Works made communicating social behavior circulating around the community that leads to attitudes, behaviors and actions in daily life. Such as: 1) "Sharp", 2) "Melt", 3) "non-compliance", 4) "Time", 5) "Revenge", 6) "Forgiving", 7) "reply", 8) "Branch" , 9) "Dice", 10) "Umbrella". Each work is displayed telling about social behavior that circulates around the community in visualized in the form of spikes.Keywords: Paku, Social Behavior, Art, Contemporary Realist.

Pigeon is a pet that has a uniqueness and beauty of shape, color, nature and activities, faithful to her lover. Characterishes Pigeons used as inspiration in creating works of art in the field of graphic relief print. Method for creating this finals worksof art using the five phases of preparation, elaboration, synthesis, andrealization of the concept began sketching move sketch, preparation of tools and materials, working and finishing processes.
