Aiming at visualizing melancholy as something that gives social instability in one’s life and environment, through surrealism graphic art.In the creation of a work of art, it is necessary to make various preparations, including making observations, information seeking, appreciation, contemplation, extracting references, and literature relating to the initial idea, as well as indirectly deepening the material around the environment according to these problems.Through this graphic art the author develops in the form of work of art, some works of art that have been presented exclusively namely: behind the scene, sadness, sacrifice, comfort in solitude, comfort in silence, pessimism, pressed, listener, thinkers, and romance. This is the main point of troubling things in life from melancholy.Keywords: Melancholy in Graphic Art.

The purpose of this study was to increase students interest and learning outcomes through demonstration methods with the use of plastic waste materials in class VII.3 of the UNP Labor Development Middle School. This type of research is classroom action research. The results showed that student learning outcomes increased from pre-cycle to cycle I and increased from cycle I to cycle II. The percentage in the pre cycle was 3.7% because only 1 student achieved complete grades. In the first cycle students who completed increased to 10 with the percentage of students 37% and in the second cycle students who completed increased significantly to 23 with the percentage of students 85.2%.Keywords: Interest; Learning outcomes; Demonstration method; Waste material

The researcher aims to find out whether there is an influence of Discovery Learning and motivation on student learning outcomes in learning Grade VIII of SMPN 31 Padang Fine Arts. The research subjects were class VII students of SMP 31 Padang. This will use quasi-experimental methods (quasi experimental) with factorial 2 x 2 research design. Data collection is done through learning motivation questionnaire instruments and learning outcomes tests to see index difficulties, reliability and reliability. Data analysis techniques are used, namely the processing stage of the subject of research and inductive analysis using the SPSS program v. 16. The results of the study concluded that the use of the discovery learning model had a positive effect on the results of learning art class VIII SMP 31 Padang.Keywords : Discovery Learning Model.

The creation of this final work aims to visualize children's facial expressions as a concept for the creation of paintings. The purpose of this research is :1. Identify the shape of carving Mosque Tuo Kurang Aso 60 in South Solok. 2. Identify the placement of Carving Mosque Tuo Kurang Aso 60 in South Solok. 3. Describes the content of aesthetic value of Carving Mosque Tuo Kurang Aso 60 in South Solok. This research is located at Nagari Pasir Talang in South Solok.It uses qualitative methods with the descriptive approach. It carried out by field observations, interviews and collection of documentation. For data analysis, by reducing data, presenting data and take aconclusion. To test the validity of data, done by credibility of the data.The results of research found that the shape of carving comes from the shape of plants, animals, and geometry that placement residing on specific areas and contain the same aesthetic value. There are 8 types of traditional Minangkabau engraving motifs. All carving is placed on large and small fields horizontally or vertically on the mosque. On the structure of the building of the mosque is divided into the bottom, the Middle, and the upper part.Key Words: Aesthetics, Carving, Mosque, Form, Placement
