Abstract

The problem in this study are: (1) teachers use teacher-centered approach to the dominance of expository / lecture, (2) the growing culture through books memorizing formulas without any prior explanation, (3) learning-centered book, (4) lack of methods / media / learning strategies, (5) the dominant cognitive learning (knowledge), (6) students are not motivated in the learning of mathematics, and (7) lack of understanding of students' mathematical abilities of the subject matter of mathematics. The purpose of this study is determine the effectiveness of the student. Formulation of the problem in this study, namely: how the effectiveness of the student?Type of research is action research through cooperative learning TGT aided props as the main target. Where this study seeks to describe the use of cooperative learning TGT props aided in increasing the motivation and ability of students' mathematical understanding through cooperative learning TGT props aided in mathematics in Class VI Elementary School Methodist-12 of Medan. The subjects were students of class VI was 50 of which were 26 men and 24 women in Elementary School Methodist-12 of Medan. Determination of this class is taken based on the observation of the class that will be examined and advice from the principal. Formal object through cooperative learning TGT aided props.Learning effectiveness of students has increased from an average grade 62.48% at the cycle I to 76.04% in the cycle II and become 88.29% in the cycle III. Thus, it can be concluded that through cooperative learning TGT aided props can increase motivation and understanding of students' mathematical abilities in cognitive, affective and psychomotor widely on the subject of flat wake in Class VI Elementary School Methodist-12 of Medan.

Abstract

The research is aimed to know the influence of parent’s education level on motivating the student’s match score year 2018/2019. The research is using the quantitative research by corelationmethode. The population in this study were all students of SD 064025 in Medan TuntunganSubdistrict as many as 734 people. The sample is 124 people with a sampling technique that is Simple Random Sampling.Data in research obtained is observations, questionnaire, and study documentation. The analytical technique used is a test of the prerequisite for analysis and hypothesis testing using the Program Statistics for Social Science (SPSS) assistance. From the data analysis data, it is found that there is a linear relationship between parent’s education level on motivating the student’s this is supported by the results of testingtcount>ttable and t test is done at the level (= 0,05) that tcount>ttablewas SD with SMP (2,2937 > 1,6675), SD with SMA (5,3917 > 1,6722), SD with D3 (2,2635 > 1,6779), SD with S1(2,0929 > 1,6810)this proves thatis accepted. Then there isinfluencebetweenparent’s education level on motivating learn the student’s in the fourth grade SD Negeri 064025 distric Medan Tuntungan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving rewards to student learning outcomes. This research was conducted at the Public Elementary School 101740 Tanjung Selamat in April 2019. The study sample consisted of 60 students. The method of this research is the Quasi experimental design method which in the design of this study there are two groups, namely, the experimental group and the control class. The instrument used to collect data is the multiple choice test. Hypothesis testing is done using the "t" test.The results of statistical calculations show that the ability of students to answer post-test questions by giving rewards is included in the good category with an average value of 79.75. While the ability of students to answer post-test questions without being given treatment, giving rewards is included in the category with an average value of 65.81. Furthermore hypothesis testing shows 𝑡𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡 is 2,042 then consulted with 𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 at a significant level α = 0.05. with df 58 = 2,042 Because 𝑡𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑛𝑡 obtained is greater than 𝑡𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒, that is, 6,174 > 2,042, it is evident that the null or (Ho) hypothesis is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted. So, it can be concluded that giving rewards has a significant effect on the learning outcomes of class IV students at SD Negeri 101740 Tanjung Selamat Learning Year 2018/2019. And Then, giving this reward is well used in the learning process, especially in fractions.

Abstract

Discuss about the area where I live, based on the results of observations done in class IV SD Swasta Budi Murni 2 it was found some problems, they were: has not implement the varian model thus the learning is concerned on that teacher that make students fat unmotivated to study got bored. The problem to the result of students learning. Thus it needs to conduct a classroom action research. Classroom action research consists of four steps namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection which conducted into two cycle with one meeting in every cycle. The subject of this research in students of SD Swasta Budi Murni 2 Class IV in the academic year 2018/2019 with the number of the students are 48. The technique of collecting date use lest and observation.The results of the observation skills of teachers cycle I gained an average percentage score of 70.91% with good criteria. Cycle II obtained the average percentage score 86% with good criteria as well. The data showed an increase in the skills of teachers. The results of the observation activities of students cycle I gained an average of 68 with sufficient criteria. In cycle II, increased with the acquisition of a score of 88 with good criteria. Thoroughly of classical results on prates by 29.17% with an average of 67.5 class, on cycle I Thoroughly of classical learning of 47.91% with an average 73.43 class, and in cycle II Thoroughly of classical learning of 95.83% with an average of 95.45 class. The data showed an increase in student learning results.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that student learning outcomes are still low on the theme of the area where I live in class IV 050600 Kuala State Elementary School. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the Quantum Teaching learning model on student learning outcomes on the theme of the area where I live in class IV 050600 Kuala State Elementary School the learning year 2018/2019. This type of research is a quantitative research experimental model with a pretest-posttest Control Group Design research design. The class that becomes the population in this study is class IV-A and class IV B, where the population is 39 students with class IV A 18 students, and class IV B 21 students. Sampling uses a simple random sampling technique, and class IV B is selected as a class given treatment. To find out the hypothesis in this study using a different test independent sample t-test in SPSS ver 22.The results showed that the experimental class experienced a learning increase of 42% from the previous pretest. In the experimental class the pretest results were 58.85 and posttest was 83.61. This is supported by the results of testing the correlation coefficient. It can be seen that the correlation coefficient value is 0.772, which means that it is calculated (0.772) > rtable (0.433) then Ha is accepted. Then there is a strong relationship and there is an influence the Quantum Teaching model on learning outcomes in class IV 050600 Kuala State Elementary School. Can also be seen from the results of testing the hypothesis t-test where tcount> ttable is 33,035> 1,687 so that the hypothesis Ha is accepted. This shows the influence of the Quantum Teaching learning model on student learning outcomes on the theme of the area where I live in class IV 050600 Kuala State Elementary School in the 2018/2019 learning year.

Abstract

This type of research is class action research (PTK). This research aims to improve students ' learning outcomes by using the Inside Outside Circle theme of my residence in the sub I'm proud of my place to stay class IV Elementary school 068003 Medan Year learning 2018/2019. The subject in this study was a grade IV student of SD Negeri 068003 Medan which numbered 22 people consisting of 12 male students and 10 female students. The study consists of two cycles namely cycle I and cycle II. Each cycle consists of a one-time meeting. To obtain data during the study post-test used twice in two cycles to determine the increase in student learning outcomes and the teacher activity observation sheet to determine the effectiveness of models used by teachers and sheets Students to learn the extent to which students can apply a learning model that is conceived in the learning process.The results showed that by using the Inside Outside Circle model in Cycle 1, the average student learning results were 64.54% or about 54.55% of students who completed the results of 12 students. The results on this I cycle have not yet reached the expected outcome level. It is done cycle II and the average value of student learning outcomes is 81.27% with a percentage of 90.90% of students who have completed a total value of 20 students. Thus there is an increase in student learning outcomes of 90.90%. Based on the results of the data obtained, it can be concluded that the use of the Inside Outside Circle model can improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students of elementary School 068003 Medan year of learning 2018/2019.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the comparison application of learning model Think Pair Sharewith Teams Games Turnamento study result of 5th grade students learning 1 and 5 of SD Negeri 064025, Medan Tuntungan subdistrict academic year 2018/2019 on. The types of research is experimental research with true experimental design method (Prates-Postes Control Group Design). The approach of research was quantitave. The population used in this study were 117 students of Elementary School 064025 in Medan Tuntungan Subdistrict. The research sample were the 60th students fifth grade A – B classes. The sampling technique in research is cluster sample. Data collection techniques using tests namely pre-test and post-test. Tests are used to obtain student learning outcomes data. The analysis techniq ue used is by using Microsoft Exel and Statistic Program For Social Science (SPSS) ver. 21.0. The result showed that there was comparised about result study from application Think Pair Share with Teams Games Turnamen model. The results of the calculation of data analysis showed that the increase in the average value of the pre-post test results in the experimental group I through the application of the Think Pair Share Model was 16.63.While the increase in the average value of the pre-post test results in the experimental group II amounted to 11.86. The difference in the average value of the experimental group II experimental group is only 4.77. Through the acquisition of tcount (4.224) > ttable (1,671), H0 is rejected. This proves that there was a comparison of learning outcomes through of Think Pair Share Model with Teams Games Turnamen model the application.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the effect of make amatch type learning to student learning outcome in mathematics in subject at the fifth grade student of SD 060915. The method of this research was a quasi-experimental research with pretest posttest control group design. The experiment sample was 30 students that used make amatch cooperative learning method. The control sample was 30 students that used speech method. The instruments of this research wasobjective learning outcomes test with 15 questions.The technique of analysis data was t-test. Based on the calculation, t-score showed that t-count was 2,127 and t-table was 1,672 at the significance level of 5% which means t-count > t-table (2,127>1,672), so Ho was rejected and Ha was accepted. It can be concluded that cooperative learning make a match type has positive influence to student learning outcome in mathematics in subject at the fifth grade student of SD 060915 in addition and subtraction of ordinary fragment and mixed fragment concept.

Abstract

This study aims to increase student learning outcomes on mathematics subjects in the material measuring angles with standard units by applying the Problem Based Learning learning model at SDN 106788 PURWODADI, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency. This type of research is Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were students of class IV-B, which amounted to 29 students consisting of 11 male students and 18 female students. This research was conducted in two cycles. Data from the results of this study were obtained from tests of student learning outcomes and observations.Based on the results of the study, it was shown that there was an increase in the learning outcomes of material students measuring angles with simple aircraft standard units by applying the Problem Based Learning learning model. This can be seen from improving student learning outcomes every cycle. In the pre-test of student learning outcomes carried out before the application of learning there were 4 students (32%) completed learning while 17 students (68%) had not yet finished with a grade point average of 50.93. In cycle 1 completeness of student learning outcomes there were 17 students (72%) completed in 8 students (28%) not yet completed with an average value of 70.4. The results of teacher observation amounted to 67.27% with a good category while the observations of students amounted to 64% with sufficient categories. Student learning outcomes have increased to 23 students (92%) completed 2 students (8%) have not been completed while the average value of 86.4. Teacher observation results have increased by 92.72% with very good categories while student observations amounted to 92% with very good categories. By looking at the percentage of learning outcomes and observations it can be concluded that the Application of Problem Based Learning Learning Models can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the student learning outcomes that are still low on the theme of our friend's environment in class V 050600 Kuala State Elementary School. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Cooperative Learning Model Type Make A Match on student learning outcomes on the theme of the environment of our friend class V 050600 Kuala State Elementary School Learning Year 2018/2019. This type of research is a quantitative research experimental model with a pretest-posttest Control Group Design research design. The class that became the population in this study was class V-A and class V B, where the total population was 49 students with class V A 24 students, and class V B 25 students. Sampling using simple random sampling technique, and selected class V B as a class given treatment (Treatment). To find out the hypothesis in this study using a different test independent sample t-test in SPSS ver 22. The results showed that the experimental class experienced a learning increase of 101% from the previous pretest. In the experimental class the pretest results were 41.75 and posttest was 84. This is supported by the results of the test of the correlation coefficient can be seen that the correlation coefficient value is 0.863 means r count (0.863)> r table (0.396) then Ha is accepted. Then there is a strong relationship and there is an influence between the type of cooperative learning model Make A Match on the learning outcomes in class V 050600 Kuala State Elementary School. Can also be seen from the results of testing the hypothesis t test where t count> t table is 62,308> 1,713 so that the hypothesis Ha is accepted. This shows the influence of the Make A Match type of cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes on the theme of our friend's environment in class IV 050600 Kuala State Elementary School in the 2018/2019 learning year.
