Abstract

The presence of fish larvae is one of the main factors for the sustainability of fish resources. Information on the potential of fish larvae is very useful for the conservation of fish resources. This study aims to analyze species composition (richness), individual abundance, the relationship of fish larvae abundance with physical-chemical parameters and formulate strategies and priorities for fish larvae management. The research was conducted in August and October at 8 stations. Potential data were analyzed using diversity index, uniformity index, dominance, and abundance of fish larvae. PCA analysis was used to assess the relationship between water quality parameters and fish larvae abundance. SWOT and AHP analysis were used to formulate management strategies and priorities. Based on the results, 9 genus/species of fish larvae belonging to 9 families, 5 orders of Class Osteichtyes were obtained. The abundance of fish larvae was highest in October. Serranus sp. and Siganus sp. larvae had high individual abundance. The parameters salinity, water temperature, current speed, PO4, SiO3, pH, water brightness, and DO have a correlation (+), meaning that these water quality parameters had a directly proportional relationship with fish larvae abundance. Eight strategies were formulated, with two primary priorities for the potential development of fish larvae in Kotania Bay waters, three secondary priorities and three tertiary priorities. ABSTRAK Keberadaan larva ikan merupakan salah satu faktor utama kelestarian sumberdaya ikan. Informasi tentang potensi larva ikan sangat berguna bagi kelestarian sumberdaya ikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis komposisi (kekayaan) spesies, kelimpahan individu, hubungan kelimpahan larva ikan dengan parameter fisik-kimia dan merumuskan strategi serta prioritas pengelolaan larva ikan. Penelitian dilakukan pada Agustus dan Oktober di 8 stasiun. Analisa data potensi menggunakan indeks keanekaragaman, indeks keseragaman, dominansi, dan kelimpahan larva ikan. Analisis PCA digunakan untuk mengkaji hubungan parameter kualitas air dengan kelimpahan larva ikan. Analisis SWOT dan AHP digunakan untuk merumuskan strategi dan prioritas pengelolaan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh 9 genus/spesies larva ikan yang termasuk dalam 9 famili, 5 Ordo dari Class Osteichtyes. Kelimpahan larva ikan tertinggi pada bulan Oktober. Larva ikan Serranus sp. dan Siganus sp. memiliki kelimpahan individu tinggi. Parameter salinitas, suhu air, kecepatan arus, PO4, SiO3, pH, kecerahan air, dan DO memiliki korelasi (+), yang berarti parameter kualitas perairan itu memiliki hubungan berbanding lurus dengan kelimpahan larva ikan. Dirumuskan delapan strategi, dengan dua prioritas primer pengembangan potensi larva ikan di perairan Teluk Kotania, tiga prioritas sekunder dan tiga prioritas tersier. Abstract

Serayu River has decrease in capacity, both in quality and quantity. This condition causes the function and performance of the river as a source of water for community activities to be less than optimal. Efforts to improve monitoring of the Serayu River water quality require a continuous monitoring program implemented online. Therefore, a more reliable effort to control water pollution is needed in order to maintain water quality according to its purpose. The purpose of the research is to periodically monitor water quality and determine the status of water quality in the Serayu River. It is hoped that this explanation will be used as a comparison for manual monitoring activities that have been did in the Serayu River previously and as a reference for monitoring water quality in other locations. The method of measuring water quality is using online monitoring system and determining the status of water quality using the Storet analysis method. Samples were taken and measured from 2 stations namely Bendung Wanganaji and Bendung Gerak Serayu using mulptiprobe sensors consisting of parameters of temperature, DO, pH, TDS, conductivity, turbidity, nitrate and ammonia. Data from sensor measurements are sent and analyzed online by the onlimo system. The data that has been analyzed are then verified and reanalyzed using the Storet method. The results of the analysis of water quality monitoring of Serayu River state that the quality in Serayu River water is classified as light to moderate polluted. ABSTRAK Sungai Serayu telah mengalami penurunan kapasitas, baik secara kualitas maupun kuantitas. Kondisi ini menyebabkan fungsi dan kinerja sungai sebagai sumber air bagi aktivitas masyarakat menjadi kurang optimal. Upaya meningkatkan pemantauan kualitas air Sungai Serayu memerlukan program pemantauan yang kontinyu dan dilaksanakan secara online. Oleh karena itu diperlukan upaya pengendalian pencemaran air yang lebih handal dalam rangka untuk menjaga kualitas air sesuai dengan peruntukannya. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk memantau kualitas air secara berkala dan menentukan status mutu air di Sungai Serayu. Paparan ini diharapkan menjadi bahan komparasi kegiatan pemantauan manual yang telah dilakukan di Sungai Serayu sebelumnya dan menjadi acuan pemantauan kualitas air di lokasi lain. Metode pengukuran kualitas air menggunakan sistem online monitoring dan penentuan status mutu air menggunakan metode analisis Storet. Sampel diperoleh dari 2 stasiun yaitu Bendung Wanganaji dan Bendung Gerak Serayu menggunakan mulptiprobe sensor yang terdiri dari suhu, DO, pH, TDS, DHL, turbiditas, nitrat dan amonia. Data hasil pengukuran sensor dikirim dan dianalisis secara online oleh sistem onlimo. Data hasil analisis selanjutnya diverifikasi dan dianalisis ulang menggunakan metode Storet. Hasil analisis pemantauan kualitas air Sungai serayu menyatakan kualitas air Sungai Serayu tergolong dalam klasifikasi tercemar ringan hingga tercemar sedang. Abstract

The demand for lobster on the market is experiencing an upward trend. The utilization of a floating net cage system is a viable opportunity for the cultivation of lobsters in the waters of Inner Ambon Bay. The objective of this study is to examine the water quality parameters associated with the cultivation of Lobster (Panulirus sp.) using a floating net cage system in the Inner Ambon Bay. Water quality parameters encompass a range of physical and chemical factors. Physical characteristics comprise of temperature, salinity, current, and brightness, while chemical parameters include pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), nitrite, nitrate, phosphate, and ammonia. The study was carried out in March 2023 within the seas of Inner Ambon Bay, utilizing a total of 21 designated observation locations. The field measurements encompassed the assessment of many parameters including temperature, salinity, current velocity, dissolved oxygen (DO) levels, pH, and brightness. Additional parameter measurements were conducted at the Maluku Province Health Laboratory Center. The data were analyzed in accordance with government regulations pertaining to the quality standards of sea water for marine biota. According to the findings of the research, the temperature measurements varied between 29 and 30.18°C, the salinity levels ranged from 33.39 - 34 ppt, the pH values spanned from 7 - 10.4, and the dissolved oxygen (DO) concentrations were observed to be between 4.27 and 7.12 milligrams per liter (mg/l). The obtained current velocity values ranged from 8.91 - 24.16 cm/sec, whereas the brightness value ranged from 4.5 - 10.5 m. For the concentration of chemical parameters, the results showed that phosphate ranged values from 0-98.81 mg/l, nitrate 0-0.02 mg/l, while nitrite and ammonia was 0 - 0.01 mg/l and 0 - 0.33 mg/l, respectively. The findings from the data analysis indicate that the overall physical and chemical characteristics of the water meet the established quality standards for marine organisms, particularly in relation to the suitability for sustaining lobsters (Panulirus sp) using a floating net cage system in Ambon Bay. ABSTRAK Permintaan pasar untuk komoditas lobster semakin meningkat. Perairan Teluk Ambon Dalam dapat dikembangkan untuk budidaya lobster dengan menggunakan sistem keramba jaring apung. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis paramater kualitas air bagi kegiatan budidaya Lobster (Panulirus sp) dengan sistem keramba jaring apung di Teluk Ambon Bagian Dalam. Parameter kualitas air meliputi parameter fisik (suhu, salinitas, arus, kecerahan) dan parameter kimia (pH, DO, nitrit, nitrat, fosfat, amonia). Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Maret 2023 di perairan Teluk Ambon Dalam pada 21 titik pengamatan. Parameter suhu, salinitas, arus, DO, pH dan kecerahan diukur secara langsung di lapangan. Sedangkan pengukuran parameter lainnya dilakukan pada Balai Laboratorium Kesehatan Provinsi Maluku. Analisa data menurujuk pada baku mutu air laut untuk biota laut sesuai peraturan pemerintah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai suhu berkisar antara 29-30,18oC, salinitas 33,39- 34 ppt, pH 7-10,4, DO 4,27-7,12 mg/l. Nilai kecepatan arus diperoleh berkisar antara 8,91-24,16 cm/det, sedangkan nilai kecerahan sebesar 4,5-10,5 m. Parameter kimia meliputi fosfat berkisar antara 0,00-98,81 mg/l, nitrat 0,00-0,02 mg/l, nitrit 0,00-0,01 mg/l, dan amonia 0,00-0,33 mg/l. Hasil analisa data menunjukan bahwa parameter fisik dan kimia perairan secara keseluruhan memenuhi standar baku mutu biota laut, khususnya untuk pemeliharaan lobster (Panulirus sp) dengan sistem keramba jaring apung di perairan Teluk Ambon Dalam. Abstract

Tuna fish (Euthynnus affinis) is a type of large pelagic fish and is classified as a fast swimmer that lives in groups. Tuna fish is one of the aquatic resources of large pelagic fish that has high economic value. Tuna fish also has a fairly high content of omega-3 fatty acids, namely 1.5g/100g. This research aims to determine the percentage of the utilization rate of tuna landed at the Sibolga Nusantara Fisheries Port, North Sumatra. This research was conducted from August 7th-September 7th, 2023. This research is survey research. Types of data collected are primary and secondary data. Data analysis used includes Cacth per Trip Effort (CPUE), MSY (Maximum Sustainable Yield), optimum effort, total allowable catch (TAC), utilization rate, and cultivation level of tuna. Based on research results, the highest Cacth per trip effort (CPUE) in 2020 was 1,785 tons/trip. Based on MSY calculations and optimum effort in 2017-2022, the MSY result was 1211.56 tons/year. The optimum effort was 1943.78 trips, meaning the maximum catch of tuna that could be caught was 1211.56 tons/year, and the amount The permitted catch is 969,248tons/year or 80% of the maximum catch. The average value of the utilization rate for tuna over 6 years is 19%. is in the low stage of development range category and the effort level is 9%. ABSTRAK Ikan tongkol (Euthynnus affinis) merupakan jenis ikan pelagis besar dan tergolong perenang cepat yang hidup bergerombol. Ikan tongkol merupakan salah satu sumberdaya perairan ikan pelagis besar yang bernilai ekonomis tinggi dan juga memiliki kandungan asam lemak omega-3 yang cukup tinggi yaitu sebanyak 1,5g/100g. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persentase tingkat pemanfaatan ikan tongkol yang didaratkan di Pelabuhan Perikanan Nusantara Sibolga Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan 7 Agustus-7 September 2023. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian survey. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan data primer dan sekunder. Analisis data yang digunakan meliputi Catch per Trip Effort (CPUE), Maximum Sustainable Yield (MSY), effort optimum, Total Allowable Catch (TAC), tingkat pemanfaatan dan tingkat pengupayaan sumberdaya ikan tongkol. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian penelitian, CPUE tertinggi pada tahun 2020 yaitu sebanyak 1.785 ton/trip. Berdasarkan perhitungan MSY dan effort optimum pada tahun 2017-2022 didapatkan hasil MSY sebanyak 1211.56 ton/tahun, dan effort optimum 1943.78 trip artinya tangkapan maksimum ikan tongkol yang dapat ditangkap yaitu sebanyak 1211.56 ton/tahun dan jumlah tangkapan yang diperbolehkan yaitu sebanyak 969,248 ton/tahun atau 80% dari tangkapan maksimum. Nilai rata-rata tingkat pemanfaatan ikan tongkol selama 6 tahun yaitu sebanyak 19%. berada pada kategori rentang tahap rendah dan tingkat pengupayaan 9%. Abstract

The Fisheries Management Area (FMA 714) has great potential for reef fish with high diversity. However, exploitation of reef fish, especially grouper in FMA 714 is also high to meet national and international market demand. One of the species of grouper is Cephalopholis sexmaculata from the Serranidae family. This research was conducted with the aim to determine genetic distance and phylogenetic relationships as well as genetic diversity, population structure and genetic connectivity of the C. sexmaculata in conservation areas and fishing areas in FMA 714 using DNA barcoding. Samples of C. sexmaculata were collected using a survey method with analyzes carried out including molecular analysis, phylogenetic relationships as well as genetic diversity and connectivity. The results of the research show that the C. sexmaculata population in FMA 714 has a very close relationship with the the values of genetic distance ranging from 0-10.9%. The genetic diversity obtained also shows the value of 1 which is categorized as high in each population. The connectivity formed from the population structure of this species indicates the existence of genetic exchange between the C. sexmaculatapopulation in the conservation area and the fishing area in FMA 714. ABSTRAK Wilayah Pengelolaan Perikanan (WPP 714) memiliki potensi ikan karang yang besar dengan keragaman yang tinggi. Walaupun demikian, eksploitasi ikan karang terutama ikan kerapu di WPP 714 juga cukup tinggi untuk memenuhi permintaan pasar nasional dan internasional. Salah satu jenis ikan kerapu adalah Cephalopholis sexmaculata dari famili Serranidae. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui jarak genetik dan hubungan filogenetik serta keragaman genetik, struktur populasi dan konektivitas genetik dari spesies C. sexmaculata antara daerah konservasi dan daerah penangkapan di WPP 714 dengan menggunakan DNA barcoding. Sampel ikan C. sexmaculata diperoleh menggunakan metode survei dengan analisis yang dilakukan meliputi analisis molekuler, hubungan kekerabatan atau filogenetik serta keragaman dan konektivitas genetik. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa populasi C. sexmaculata di WPP 714 memiliki hubungan yang sangat dekat dengan jarak genetika yang diperoleh berkisar antara 0-10,9%. Nilai keragaman genetik yang diperoleh juga menunjukan angka 1 yang terkategori tinggi pada setiap populasi. Konektivitas yang terbentuk dari struktur populasi pada spesies ini menunjukan pendugaan terhadap adanya pertukaran genetik antara populasi C. sexmaculata di daerah konservasi dengan daerah penangkapan di WPP 714. Abstract

Gender roles are behaviors that exist in society related to activities, tasks, roles or responsibilities carried out by men and women. This study aims to determine the roles in domestic and productive activities as well as gender involvement and gender work time in the development of tonda fishing business in Hitumessing Village. The research methos used was ethnographic method by conducting in-depth interviews with eight tonda fishing households. Data analysis used qualitative analysis. The results showed that women are more active in domestic roles. Productive roles performed by men are preparing fishing gear, catching fish, cleaning fishing gear and repairing boat walls. Women's productive roles in assisting the development of tonda fishing business are managing operational costs, processing caught fish, selling caught fish and collecting catch data. ABSTRAK Peran gender merupakan perilaku yang ada dalam masyarakat terkait aktivitas, tugas, peran, atau tanggung jawab yang dilakukan oleh laki-laki maupun perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran dalam aktivitas domestik dan profuktif serta keterlibatan gender dan curahan waktu gender dalam pengembangan usaha perikanan pancing tonda di Negeri Hitumessing. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode etnografi dengan melakukan wawancara secara mendalam terhadap delapan rumah tangga perikanan pancing tonda. Analisis menggunakan analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan lebih banyak kegiatannya dalam peran domestik. Peran produktif yang dilakukan laki-laki adalah mempersiapkan alat tangkap, menangkap ikan, membersihkan alat tangkap dan memperbaiki dinding kapal. Peran produktif perempuan dalam membantu pengembangan usaha perikanan pancing tonda adalah pengaturan biaya operasional, mengolah ikan hasil tangkapan, menjual ikan hasil tangkapan dan melakukan pendataan hasil tangkapan.
