Abstract

Premature birth is one of the most important factors in neonatal morbidity and mortality. Based on the survey shows an increase in the incidence of premature birth at dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie hospital in 2015-2017. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between the history of maternal complication and the incidence of premature birth at dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie hospital used an analytic correlation research design with a cross-sectional approach. The population is all multiparity and grand multiparity at dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie hospital on January-December 2018, the sampling technique used simple random sampling, with the total sample are 196 respondents. The results show that 66,3% do not have the history of maternal complication and 85,7% do not have an incidence of premature birth. Then, that were analyzed using Spearman-rank. The results show that p-value is 0,001 (p-value<α). The conclusion that there is a relationship between the history of maternal complication and the incidence of premature birth at dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie hospital. So, it is necessary to provide information and education to pregnant women in order to plan their pregnancy well and build a referral system with primary care facilities.

Abstract

One risk factor for asphyxia is maternal gestational age, at gestational age >42 weeks (post term), successful babies can increase asphyxia due to suboptimal placental function. The purpose of the study was to analyze the risk factors for gestational age and type of delivery for the incidence of asphyxia in newborns in Mamuju District Hospital and Regional Hospital in West Sulawesi Province. This type of research is an analytic study with a Case Control Study design. The study period was in August - September 2018. The case population was all infants questioned and accounted for asphyxia, control participants were all infants who were resisted and not covered at the Mamuju Regency Regional General Hospital and the West Sulawesi Provincial General Hospital. Large sample size = 36 and control sample = 72, with a ratio of 1: 2, the total sample size was 108 people, using purposive sampling technique. The results showed that mothers who changed the Sectio caesarea were 2,469 times risk of experiencing asphyxia in their newborns. Prevention needs to be done with the help of good knowledge for pregnant women when antenatal care about high risk with the action of Sectio Caesarea that can be done asphyxia.

Abstract

Anemia in pregnancy is diagnosed when Hb <11g/dL or Ht <33%. Anemia itself is caused by multifactorial, one of those are nutrition and pregnancy history. This study aims to identify the correlation between obesity, parity status and gravida status towards the number of anemia in pregnancy. This study used cross-sectional design which involved 146 pregnant women in Puskesmas Rijali. The variables such as BMI, parity status and gravida status are gathered using random sampling. The variables then are calculated using SPSS. The data is shown in the form of categorical variable after calculated using chi-square methods. This study shows no correlation between obesity and parity status with anemia in pregnancy (p>0.05). This result is supported by some others studies. In the other hand, this study shows correlation between gravida status and anemia during pregnancy (p<0.05). And the result is also supported by many others studies, one of the reason is due to malnutrition and blood loss during the previous delivery process. This study shows correlation between gravida status and anemia during pregnancy. Meanwhile, parity status and obesity doesn’t show any significant correlation.

Abstract

Hemodialysis is a treatment for patients with terminal stage chronic renal failure, kidney function is replaced by a device called a dyalizer. Patients undergoing hemodialysis may be at higher risk for infection with COVID-19 due to frequent repetitive physical presence in health care facilities and physical closeness of patients during hemodialysis. The purpose of this case study is to describe the management of hemodialysis patients infected with the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The method used in this research is descriptive with an exploratory research design. Database searches are taken from review literature, literature is obtained by keyword searches using sources such as Springer Link, Cambridge, Nature.com, Ebsco, Proquest and Google Scholar. Management of hemodialysis patients infected with COVID-19, namely screening at the beginning when the patient arrived with a temperature check, wearing a mask, and exposure to epidemic areas and the readiness of patients and health workers such as use of complete PPE, hand hygiene, correct cough etiquette. Management of patients and health workers during hemodialysis is appropriate initial treatment such as screening patients, when hemodialysis is performed, patients are spaced apart if necessary, isolation rooms, after completion of hemodialysis treatment the patient and the room must be disinfected.

The research design used in this study was correlation analysis. The populations in this research were 56 children under age of 3-5 years old with malnutrition status in the working area of Negara II Public Health Centre, Jembrana Regency. From the total population, 52 children chosen by using probability sampling technique especially simple random sampling technique were used as the samples in this study. The statistic test used in this research was Spearman’s Rho. As the result of this study, it was found that most of the children’s social behaviors with good category were 27 (51%) and children eating habits with good category were 39 (75%). Abstract

Impaired growth and development of children can be identified by early detection as prevention, prevention, stimulation and development. This study aims to determine the effect of early detection assistance models on the ability of early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in implementing early detection of early childhood growth and development. The research method uses pretest and posttest design with control group. Providing training and mentoring for PAUD teachers using the Stimulation of Detection and Early Intervention Growing Swell (SDIDTK)/ Child Development Pre-screening Questionnaire (KPSP) for the intervention group while for the control group for PAUD teachers by being given a KPSP booklet after the posttest. The results of the analysis showed that there were differences in scores of PAUD teachers' knowledge and skills in stimulating early childhood growth and development (p=0.001) between the intervention group and the control group after the mentoring model intervention. The knowledge of PAUD teachers who are given a mentoring model is better than the control group, there are significant differences in improving the ability of PAUD teachers to do early detection in children compared to the control group. PAUD teachers who are given the intervention of the mentoring model.

Abstract

Indonesia is in the third position in the world with the most leprosy sufferers after India and Brazil. Leprosy is commonly found in developing countries, as a result of the country's limited ability to provide adequate services in the fields of health, education, and socioeconomic welfare for the community. Dendun Village in Mantang District had the most cases of leprosy, 5 (five) cases in the Bintan Regency area in 2018. The study was used as a qualitative approach with a case study method. Content analysis was used in the analysis process of this research. Testing the results of research used source triangulation by cross-checking data with facts from other sources (informants) and triangulation methods by collecting data through in-depth interviews with informants and reviewing documents. The level of knowledge, negative stigma, adherence to treatment, history of contact with leprosy sufferers, and access to health services were important factors for the existence of leprosy in Dendun Village, Mantang District, Bintan Regency. Patients are expected to comply with the treatment program seriously to prevent transmission, cure, and recovery due to diseases carried out by the Bintan District Health Office and Mantang Puskesmas.
