Abstract

New city development, with a gated community approach by private property developers in the Tangerang Regency area, has potentially reducing the quality of local informal settlements to slums. Construction o concrete walls that separate formal and informal housing or between the rich and the poor produces an unequal gap and the absence of shared space. Mekarwangi Village is one of the affected villages. Avoiding negative impacts in the future, it needs good and sustainable planning, which is based on the study of local potential that can be integrated into formal housing with an analysis of spirit of place. The case study of this activity is located in Cilegong Kampong in Mekarwangi Village. What is the local potential of Kampung Cilegong? To get a depht analysis, this study uses qualitative methods. The purpose of this study is to find the local potential of Mekarwangi Village that can be developed in the future. Abstract

Elevators as vertical transportation in multi-storey buildings are a significant part of the circulation in buildings. As a vertical means of transportation, elevators help move each floor of the building user, and directly affect the circulation pattern of the building. Therefore, the availability of good vertical transportation is very influential on the mobility of users in the building. User activities and movements are strongly influenced by circulation patterns and building designs (designation or typology of the building). To find out the effect of design and elevator performance on user mobility at Matana University, quantitative research was conducted by holding questionnaires on 50 respondents at Matana University, then the data was processed with SPSS software to be tested for validity and reliability and tested hypotheses which included correlation test, determination coefficient, significance test, and regression equation. From the research, it was found that there was indeed a strong and significant relationship with rcount = 0.608 and tcount = 5.302 between the design and performance of elevators with user mobility at Matana University, although the influence between these variables was only 36.96%.

Through this study, it is expected to provide knowledge about the influence of the paramount skyline complex building design on the accessibility of online drivers to matana universities. The results of this study indicate that in fact there is a strong and significant relationship with r = 0.776 and t = 8.520 between platform settings for the adaptability of KRL users. And the influence of platform settings on the adaptability of KRL users is 60.2%.

Abstract

There are several factors that influence the teaching and learning process in the classroom. These factors can be something that can be calculated (quantitative) or that cannot be seen (qualitatively). The teaching and learning process can be influenced by factors from inside and outside the classroom, which affect the activities of the teaching and learning process in the classroom. One of the factors that influence the teaching and learning process is lighting in the classroom. Good lighting in the classroom is in accordance with its standards both in number, position and quality of the lighting. In the teaching and learning process, lighting points and the number of appropriate light points are needed so as not to disturb teaching and learning activities. The purpose of class room lighting optimization is for students and instructors to do activities well in the classroom, efficiency in electricity consumption and comfort of vision. Is there a relationship between lighting in the classroom to the teaching and learning process in the classroom? Is there influence in class lighting on the teaching and learning process? This study uses a quantitative method to find out whether or not the influence is using SPSS version 16. Through this study, it is expected to provide knowledge about the effects of lighting on the teaching and learning process in the classroom. The results of this study indicate that the relationship between lighting and teaching and learning processes is moderate or not too strong and significant with r = 0.470 t = 3.727 between lighting in the classroom and the teaching and learning process. The effect of lighting in the classroom on the teaching and learning process is 22%.Keywords : lighting design, teaching and learning

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the factors that caused the shophouse to switch to a boarding house for the potential elements of the UMN region, to know the pattern of distribution of functions of shophouses to boarding houses around the campus with a case study of boarding houses around UMN, and to find out the factors causing the distribution pattern of shop houses that switch functions to boarding houses with a case study of boarding houses around UMN. Nowadays, the spread of shop houses that change functions into boarding houses, especially around the center of activity. However, if the distribution of shophouses that change functions as a boarding house is not regulated so that it will cause the growth of wild function changes and spread to other areas causing disruption to regional land use. This study takes the title "Study of Distribution Patterns of Shophouse that Turns Function into Boarding Houses around Campus, Case Study: Shophouses around UMN Gading Serpong Campus." This research was conducted using descriptive qualitative research methods with case study research. Data collection for this study was carried out using observation, interviews, documentation, focus group discussions and also triangulation. Source of data used comes from primary data obtained directly from observations in the field and secondary data used as supplementary or comparative data. This research was conducted in March to July 2019 at a predetermined research location, namely a shop in an area with a radius of 800m from UMN. This research is focused by using the urban theories of Hamid Shirvani and Markus Zahn as a mapping tool to read the elements of the region to get results in the form of factors that cause the change of shophouse functions into a boarding house to the potential of the area, the pattern of distribution and changes in buildings (especially in terms of space and facade) shophouses that switch functions to boarding houses around the campus as centers of activity by using case study of boarding houses around UMN. The conclusion obtained contains the factors that the function of the shop-house change into a boarding house for the potential of the area, the distribution pattern of the boarding houses around UMN, as well as the distribution pattern factors.
