Abstract

Actuarial science study program is a new study program in Indonesia. Recently many universities in Indonesia have opened the study program. Currently, Indonesia needs more actuary, this is one of the reasons for the existence of the actuarial science study program in Indonesia. However, many Indonesians do not know about the actuary and actuarial science field. Besides that, most Indonesians have not realized the importance of insurance for our life. The socialization about actuary and insurance is one of the ways to introduce actuary and increase the insurance awareness to the people in Indonesia, especially in Cikarang. This event went by distributing pamphlet and giving a short explanation to the respondent about actuary, insurance, and the relationship between them.

Abstract

Obesity is a problem that is quite high in Indonesian society, but is most often ignored. Obesity is a global epidemic problem that must be dealt with seriously. The Riskesdas (2013) data stated that the proportion of adolescents (16-18 years) with excess body weight was 7.3%, with obesity category 1.6%, and the remaining 5.7% in the category of overweight, the incidence of obesity experiencing an increasing trend until 2018. The Global School Health Survey (2015) data found that the cause of the high number of obesity is due to the diet of adolescents who often skip breakfast (65.2%), consuming less fiber from vegetables and fruits (93.6%), often consume junk foods that are high in sodium (75.7%) and lack of physical activity (42.5%). This community service activity aims to increase adolescent knowledge of food and the importance of applying a healthy and active lifestyle in daily life. Knowledge will influence a person's attitude and behavior in applying balanced nutrition in their daily lives. Balanced nutrition behavior is expected to reduce nutritional problems among adolescents and this will be seen from the daily diet of teenagers.In this community service activity participants were found to be obese nutritional status (4%), overweight or overweight (21%) and thin (12%). Participant’s knowledge increased with the category of good knowledge by 28%, increasing to 38% after Nutrition Education. The participant's attitude related to the Balanced Nutrition Guidelines was mostly in the less category (58%), while the participant's behavior in applying the 4 pillars of Balanced Nutrition was still mainly related to maintaining an ideal body weight (58%) and active and exercising lifestyle (83%).

Abstract

This Sosial Comunity activity to solve existing problems, in supporting efforts to increase family income, impact on improving family welfare through empowerment approaches, namely empowerment of women who are community Prospective Entrepreneurs, by developing entrepreneur spirit in mothers who are members of women organization and activities in Pasi Village. Among the activities carried out is to provide motivation to grow entrepreneur spirit to fish farmer's wives in order to have the spirit of entrepreneurship, have the skills to make business designs and establish Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and subsequently produce superior products by processing the expected local food ingredients can increase income for the family so that they can improve the welfare of their families. By having an entrepreneurial spirit will change their mindset and motivation so they have the willingness to create and innovate so they can produce more valuable products, namely Sausage and nugget Nugget which are processed from milkfish commonly sold to collectors with a low price because of the lowest quality. The method used to implement the solution in order to solve the problems.The outputs expected to be realized from this activity are: (1) The growth of entrepreneurial spirit in women organization in Pasi and Pelesan to provide additional income to the family; (2) Ability to create a business plan in order to realize entrepreneur; (3) Establishment of Micro Small and Medium Enterprises Groups; (4) Having the ability and skills to process local food ingredients; (5) Women’s Organization ini Pasi Village are able to develop product marketing strategies.

Abstract

Waste problems in Indonesia has reached a critical point that is contaminating many aspects in community. Poor waste management in land have an impact in water pollutions, rivers, and toward the ocean. This rivers and oceans pollution are become the spotlights for the world and the government. As a part of education community in West Java, President University has an important role to educati and find solutions relate with this issues, one of them is to implement Thidharma in the form of social empowerment in Jatireja Village. This environmental education activities was sharing knowledge about plastic waste treatment and management that can be conducted in household scale, and to encourage behavioral change and awareness among communities. Creative product of eco-brick was also implemented tas a part of waste utilization to make valueable product. Environmental education are needed to improve community awareness on plastic waste in Indonesia, especially in West Java.

Abstract

The government's attention to vocational graduates has recently become a hot issue and various programs have been carried out by the government to improve the quality of vocational graduates, therefore they can compete. However, the BPS data in 2018 shows that the number of unemployed graduates from vocational school (SMK) is the highest, namely 11.24%, while Senior High School (SMA) is 7.95% and Junior High School (SMP) is 4.80%. Based on the problem, Study Program of Management, Faculty of Business, President University implemented a community service program that supports government policy, namely by providing Entrepreneurship Education to students of Amanah Bangsa Informatics Vocational School, Cikarang. With this entrepreneurship education, SMK graduates are expected to start a business as an alternative after graduating later. Entrepreneurship education is given in the form of seminars for Class XII students conducted by lecturers and students. In addition to providing lecture material on Entrepreneurship, students who have carried out business projects also share their experiences while opening a business, doing business until business liquidation as part of Entrepreneurship Course. The point is that students want to convey that starting a business is easy and has many challenges that are very suitable for millennials, and can apply all our abilities. The event was closed by giving a memento to the Vocational School and certificates to the participants.

Abstract

This community service activities aims to deepen public understanding in making financial records and reporting correctly and making the financial statements as a basis for investment analysi. The investment analysis method used is a discounted cash flow model to determine whether the investment is undervalued or overvalued. The community in this activity are students of SMK Bina Nasional Informatika, North Cikarang. The implementation phase of this activity includes a field survey, coordination with the school principal, the implementation of a financial report socialization program as a basis for stock investment analysis, and preparation of the report. The socialization activity went smoothly attended by 28 Accounting students in class XII. Socialization participants seemed enthusiastic about the material provided. This can be seen from the beginning to the end of the event, all participants followed well. Based on the results of interviews, questions and answers and direct observations, community service activities have increased the knowledge of students by as much as 80% about how to prepare good financial statements and conduct stock valuations using financial statements.
