Abstract

The purpose of this research is improving  the skills to use practical tools in science learning by using the PBL model. This research is Classroom Action Research with three cycles. The subjects of the study were 34 students and grade 5 students at SD Negeri Pajang 4 in the 2019/2020 academic year. The technique in collecting data is observation and interviewand documentation with data analysis of content validity. The analysis of the data used is the interactive analysis. The initial conditions prior to action are the percentage of students on skills using tools according to the procedure of 3.03% and there are no students who are very skilled at the skills of arranging tools according to the series drawings. The first cycle resulting in a percentage of very skilled students using tools according to procedures 9.09% and arranging tools according to series drawings 24.24%. The second cycle resulting in a percentage of very skilled students using tools according to procedures 38.71% and arranging tools according to series drawings of 51.61%. The third cycle resulting in a percentage of very skilled students using the tools according to the procedure is the same as assembling the tools according to the series drawings that is 87.10%. Based on the result of the research, it can be conclude that the PBL learning model can improve the practice of using practical tools in natural science learning in grade V students of SD Negeri Pajang 4 in the 2019/2020 school year. Teachers can use the PBL model to improve their skills in using practical tools.

Abstract

The purpose of the research is to increase story retelling skill through Paired Stoytelling model in the second grade student of SD Negeri Soropadan. The research was conducted by using Classroom Action Research in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of four steps; plannnig, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The techniques for collecting data were interview, observation, test, and documentation. The techniques for analyse data were comparative, descriptive, and critical analysis. The results of pre test showed that the average classical students’s story retelling skill reached only 54,44 and reached 18,5% classical completeness. In the first cycle, the average value of classical story retelling skill was 62,31 and reached 44,4% classical completeness. In the second cycle, the average value of classical retelling skill was 69,21 on and the classical completeness was 66,7%. In the third cycle, the average value of classical story retelling skill was 73,21 and the classical completeness reached 82,1%. The conclusion based on the results above was the implementation of Paired Storytelling model can increase story retelling skills in the second grade student of SD Negeri Soropadan on the academic year of 2019/2020.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is improve communication skills in social studies learning with applying the cooperative learning model type take and give for fifth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalrejo No.98. This research is Classroom Action Research is conducted in two cycles. The subject of this research were teachers and fifth grade students of SD Negeri Tegalrejo No.98 2019/2020 academic year, totality of 30 students. This research used the technique of collecting data in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. Test the validity of the data using content validity and triangulation. The data analysis technique used is an intercative analysis model Miles-Huberman. The results communication skills in pre-action of the fifth grade students showed percentage 36,67% clasically. The first cycle with the first learning percentage of 48,27% and the second learning percentage of 57,14% clasically. The second cycle has increased is the first learning percentage 71,42% and the second learning percentage of 83,33%. Based on the results of the research, it was concluded that: the application of cooperative learning model type take and give can improve communication skills in social studies. Abstract

This research aims to improve reading comprehension skills with Know Want Learn learning strategies. The subjects of this research were 31 students in class IV Karangasem II Elementary School Surakarta in the academic year 2019/2020. This study uses data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, documentation and reading skills tests that are tested with content validity, triangulation of data sources and triangulation of techniques. The results that has been obtained will be processed by data analysis techniques from Miles and Huberman. From the results before the implementation of the Know Want Learn strategy, classical completeness was only 12.9% (only 4 students), then after the implementation of the Know Want Learn strategy the results of reading comprehension skills increased by 48.39% (15 students) in the first cycle and 82.2% (26 students) in the second cycle. So, the Know Want Learn strategy can improve reading comprehension skills in grade IV students of SD Negeri Karangasem II in the 2019/2020 school year. The teacher can apply this know want learn strategy to reading comprehension learning in elementary schools, especially fourth grade.

Abstract

The direction of this research is to improve concept understanding of economy activity and types of bussines through the implementation of cooperative learning model type example non example in grade 5 of primary education. This research is a classroom action research consist of two cycle. The subject of this research is grade  students of SD Negeri 2 Manggis that totaling 33 students. The techniques of accumulation data in this research were observation, interviw, tests and documentation, with data analysis using content validity testing and triangulation technique. The cycle 1 in this research resulted a classical completeness of 54,55%, continuing in classical completeness in cycle 2 which increased to 81,82%. Based on the output, can be summarize that the use of cooperative learning model type example non example can improve the concept understanding of economy activity and types of business in grade 5 of SD Negeri 2 Manggis 2019/2020 academic year.Keywords: concept understanding, economy activity and types of business, example non example, primary education

Abstract

The goal of this research  is to improve the ability of students in class V of Karangasem I State Elementary School Surakarta in Academic Year 2019/2020 to find the main ideas by using Cooperative Script learning model. The form of research is classroom action research. Subjects in the study found teachers and 34 students. The phase carried out in this study consisted of 2 cycles. Data collection used in this research by interviewing, gathering ability tests to find main ideas and analyzing documents. The validiity of the data used is content validity, source triangulation, and technique triangulation. The data in this study consisted of qualitative data an quantitative data. Quantitative data analysis uses comparative descriptive analysis techniques, while qualitative data uses miles and huberman analysis models. The first cycle, obtained classical completeness 52,94% and increased in the second cycle as much as 82,35%. Based on the above data it can be denied that the Cooperative Script learning model can improve the ability of students to find the main ideas in grade V students of Karangasem I Elementary School Surakarta in the academic year 2019/2020.

Abstract

This research was a class action research in order to improve communication skills in social studies learning through Time Token learning models for 5th grade of elemtary school students at Surakarta 2019/2020 Academic Year. The study was conducted in two cycles consisting of four meetings with stages, including planning, action, observation, and reflection. Research data collection was done by interviewing, observing communication skills, and document studies technique. The validity of the data used is content validity, source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis techniques with Mile and Huberman’s interactive analysis models which include data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The result of the study increased from pre-action activities y 50.91 (5,88%), an increase of 71.11 (41.17%) the first cycle , and 76.73 (82.35%) the second cycle. Based on the results of this reaultsof this research, concluded that communication skills in social studies learning in 5th grade students had increased by implementing the Time Token learning model.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research (CAR) which purposed to increase the participation learning skills throughout used Quick on the Draw Learning Model. The subjects were the teacher and 24 students from 4th grade of state primary school at Surakarta on the 2019/2020 academy year. This classroom action research consisted of two cycles which each of those cycles had two meetings. The data collection technique in this research used interview, observation, questionnaires, and documentation. The validity of data used construct validation, data source triangulation and technique triangulation. This research used an interactive analysis model of Miles-Huberman. The result of the research shows the increased participation learning skills from 20,83% to 41,67% in the first cycle, and 83,33% in the second cycle. The result of average indicator data from the questionnaire increase from 60,74% to 72,91% in the first cycle and increased again to 83,66% in the second cycle. Based on the result of this research, it was concluded that participation learning skills in social science lessons increased after the Quick on the Draw Learning model was implemented.

Abstract

Abstract. This research having a problem formulation of how the application of the TTW type of cooperative learning model can improve the skill of solving math stories problem for 5th grade students on elementary school in Surakarta in the 2019/2020 academic years. The purpose of this research was to improve the skills to solve mathematical story problems using the cooperative learning model of TTW type in the 5th students students on elementary school in Surakarta. This research  uses a class action research method with two cycles, four meetings. Data sources used were secondary and primary data. Data collection techniques used were observation, interview, documentation and tests. The validity test used were source triangulation and technique triangulation. The analysis technique uses the model of miles and Huberman. To find out the initial conditions of the skills to solve mathematical story problems, a pre-action test was conducted. The classical completeness of the pretreatment test was 0%. The percentage increased in first cycle was 65%, then increased again in cycle II was 91%. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the learning model of TTW type can improve the skills to solve mathematical story problems on 5th students of elementary school in Surakarta in the 2019/2020 academic years. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to increased  the understanding of the meaning of the pancasila symbol with a Mind Mapping model in SD Negeri Tunggulsari 1 school year 2019/2020. The researching is a Classroom Action Research at elementary school  concocted in two cycles. every cycle consists of four stages, there are: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The technique to collect data, there are documentation, interviews, observation, and tests. The result of data collection were used as the source of triangulation and triangulation methods.The data analysis was performed of using interactive analysis technique. The first cycle resulted in a percentage of 54,54% and the study continued with the second cycle with the percentage of 90,90%. the outcome of research shows that the use Mind Mapping model can increased  the understanding of the meaning of pancasila symbols at SD Negeri Tunggulsari 1 school years 2019/2020.
