Abstract

In the era of the Covid-19 Pandemic, it demands massive changes in lifestyles in all levels of society in each of their respective environments. Included in the teaching and learning process that must be done online (in the network) through online learning media. The change in the learning system from the conventional to the online system was very sudden and without sufficient preparation, it caused the unpreparedness of teachers and students for the online learning process. However, all of this must be carried out so that the learning process can run smoothly and students actively participate in the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result of this emergency condition, an effort was made to help teachers by assisting the use of technology in online learning design at SMP Negeri 1 Sekongkang during the Covid-19 pandemic. The method in this research is PAR (Participation Action Research) where there are assisted subjects who are involved to jointly solve the problems that are being faced. The results obtained from this activity are very helpful for teachers in carrying out online learning by mastering the skills of using applications that support online learning. Activities can be carried out with adequate system support, but one obstacle is the instability of the internet network because activities are both online and offline

Abstract

This study aims to determine the online learning model in increasing the creativity and initiative of teachers in managing learning at home at SD Negeri 2 Rempe. The type of research conducted is school action research (PTS) using Elliot's model. The research was held at SD Negeri 2 Rempe in the 2019/2020 school year during the Covsid 19 pandemic. The research subjects were grade 1, 2, 3, 4, and Grade 5 teachers. The object of the research was learning at home through online learning during the pandemic. covid-19. Data collection is through observation and documentation and then analyzed qualitatively. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the online learning model can overcome and be a solution in implementing learning during the COVID-19 pandemic by involving the creativity and initiative of teachers to manage to learn at home. The creativity and initiative of teachers have increased in making lesson plans by 18%, online learning management by 12%, student activity by 17%, and student learning scores by 9.6% from cycle I to cycle II in learning.

Abstract

The use of simple teaching aids is one way to hone teacher competence in the teaching and learning process. For this reason, this research was conducted to improve the competence of teachers in their respective fields which was carried out at SD Negeri Telaga Baru, Taliwang District. The creation of props is also used as a class display. This manifests two advantages in terms of 1) teacher improvement in making, utilizing, and designing teaching aids, 2) creating fun classroom displays for students. The research was conducted in two cycles. The stages of the activity are 1) Socialization, 2) KD analysis and types of teaching aids, 3) Determining the sketch/pattern of teaching aids, 4) Making props that have been determined, 5) Presentation on the props that have been made, 6) Socialization about the second cycle, as a follow-up to the improvement of the first cycle, and 7) Exhibition of works/work titles. In the results of the first cycle, the teacher improved the components used from the teaching aids, in the second cycle the teacher carried out the working title because he had realized the teaching aids that were in line with expectations. This certainly manifests the results of a significant increase in teacher competence because they have carried out cognitive and technical processes in making works in the form of teaching aids

Abstract

This study aims to determine students' ability in solving geometric problems through a metacognitive approach to the planning aspect. The approach used is qualitative descriptive type. The subjects of this study consisted of three grade VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Benjeng Gresik who were included in the medium category. Data collection was carried out by means of instrument testing and interviews. The validity of the instrument in this study was the validity of the items and showed the respective values ​​of 0.74; 0.78; 0.76 which meant that the three items had fulfilled the validity. Whereas for the reliability test the results obtained were 0.76. The results showed that the planning aspects of the students were in the middle category of solving different geometric problems, this was influenced by the abilities of the students and the habitual factors in problem solving activities

Abstract

This study aims to determine the impact of online learning on students' absorption during online learning. This research is qualitative with the hope of providing an overview of students' conditions during online learning. The research method was conducted using an online survey involving 22 students from 60 students of SMP Kristen Kanaan Jakarta. From the results of the interviews, it can be drawn a picture that half of the students experienced problems in absorbing learning materials. Even half of the students also experience psychological stress due to online learning. The lack of social interaction between students and teachers becomes an obstacle in the absorption and understanding of teaching materials

Abstract

The purpose of this discussion is to find out whether parental supervision influences the quality of student learning in the distance learning period. Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic in mid-March 2020, all physical learning activities at schools have stopped. The central and regional governments swiftly issue online learning policies or commonly referred to as distance learning (PJJ). The various obstacles faced in this PJJ certainly affect the quality of student learning. In addition to the various problems faced, a large role for parental supervision is also needed in distance learning because teachers as facilitators at school cannot fully supervise student’s activities. Parental involvement has a positive impact on student achievement, such as higher test scores and graduation rates, as well as the influence on student development indicators, including better behavior and social skills, strong belief in the importance of education, and so on. The role of parents at home is to accompany children in doing school assignments, limit permits for activities outside the home, coordinate with teachers and schools, and also help students implement a clean and healthy lifestyle

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the mathematical representation ability of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 02 Woja in understanding the material for the Two-variable Linear Equation System. The method used in this research is descriptive method. The descriptive method uses descriptive statistics to process the data obtained from the research results. In addition, the researchers conducted interviews with mathematics teachers who directly taught class VIII students in order to strengthen the data obtained in addition to tests. The findings of this study are as follows: The overall mathematical representation ability of students has an average score of 59.87; The ability of mathematical representation on the pictorial representation has an average of 50.98. The ability of mathematical representation on the symbol representation indicator has an average of 65.66. Mathematical representation ability on verbal representation indicators has an average of 62.45.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how group guidance services can improve student discipline behavior. The approach used in this research is action research with the research subjects of class VIII students who have a low tendency of disciplinary behavior. This research was conducted in three cycles, each cycle consisting of: (1) Preparation of an action plan, (2) Action, (3) Observation, (4) Reflection, Implementation of actions taken by researchers through group guidance using discussions and lectures, film screenings, audio CD and combined with outbound management training showed a significant increase. After the implementation of cycle 1, there was an increase of 8.04% from the initial condition, after cycle 2 there was an increase of 5.40% from the condition after cycle 1 (13.44% from the initial condition), and an increase of 1.08% after cycle 3 (14,52% from the initial condition), so that in all of the 3 cycles there was an increase of 14.52% and all students were in the high criteria of disciplinary behavior. Changes in student behavior include having an understanding of school rules (rules), mental attitude in implementing school rules, and seriousness in obeying school rules

Abstract

This study aims to improve the learning outcomes of grade VII-1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Brang Rea for the even semester of 2018/2019 in learning English, especially in describing certain objects, people, or places through the Picture Word Inductive Model learning strategy. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR), while the research subjects are 31-grade VII-1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Brang Rea in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. Data collection is carried out simultaneously with observations during the action, while data analysis is carried out at the time of reflection of the action. From the results of the study, it was found that PWIM was significant in improving student learning outcomes in learning English, especially in describing certain objects/people/places for class VII-1 in the even semester of the 2018/2019 academic year. The pedagogical implication of this research is that the use of the PWIM strategy can help students explore many words and then arrange them into a paragraph and descriptive text in English. With pictures of certain objects/people/places, students get inspired by what words they will write to compose a descriptive text.

Abstract

This study aims to find out and reveal that the application of a contextual approach with school environment inspiration can improve the ability to write narrative essays for class VIII-1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Brang Rea, and find out and find contextual learning steps to improve narrative essay writing skills. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII-1 SMP Negeri 1 Brang Rea. This research uses a classroom action research design and was carried out in the 2018/2019 academic year, carried out in three cycles, in which the three cycles discussed one linguistic aspect, namely "writing narrative essays". Following the action research design, activities are carried out in each cycle, including planning, implementing actions, observing actions, and reflecting on actions and their results. The technique used in collecting data is the observation sheet technique and the test technique. The data were processed using qualitative descriptive techniques. Based on the results of data analysis, it turns out that the contextual approach can improve the quality of learning to write narrative essays for class VIII-1 students of SMP Negeri 1 Brang Rea, 2018/2019 academic year. This can be observed from the acquisition of the average score of students who experienced a significant increase. In the initial test results, the average score of students only reached 60. The average score of students increased in the first cycle test to 68, increased to 78 in the second cycle. The contextual approach can provide opportunities for students to compete in compiling narrative essays according to the characteristics of narrative essays. Changes in behavior or attitudes appear in learning to compose narrative essays
