Abstract

The church as God's family must play a role in providing support and guidance to able-bodied ex-prisoners after they are released from prison. However, in reality, many churches do not even show acceptance of former visits, so this presence isolates them and encourages them to seek support and support in less positive environments. The method used in this study is a literature review. This method involves searching, selecting, and evaluating published literature, such as books, scientific journals, articles, theses, and previous research reports related to the topic under study. Based on this method, the result is that the role of the church as God's family has not been fully implemented, especially for those who are known as excesses. Therefore, the church needs to re-awaken that this includes accepting, loving and guiding former recoveries through spiritual assistance, social assistance, recovery and rehabilitation, community empowerment, as well as providing hope and forgiveness to former persons with disabilities.
