Abstract

Research on the structure population of earthworm in secondary forest and coffee agroforestry Kutagugung Village, District Naman Teran, Karo, North Sumatra was conducted in January 2013. The aim of research was to determinate type earthworm, populations and its relation to environmental conditions. The method used is purposive random sampling with square method, hand sorting and environmental conditions (temperature, pH, rH, C-organik, N, P dan K). Amynthas sp., Pheretima sp. and Pontoscolex corethrurus found at both locations, while Peryonix sp. only found in coffee agroforestry. The highest density found in coffee agroforestry (283.73 ind/m2) followed by secondary forest (78.93 ind/m2). Types of earthworm bioindicator in secondary forest is Pontoscolex corethrurus (KR= 60.81%, FK= 60%) and Pheretima sp. (KR= 36.49%, FK= 53%), whereas in the coffee agroforestry only found Pontoscolex corethrurus (KR= 91.73%, FK= 100%). Pearson correlation analysis results indicate the number of individual earthworms were significantly positively correlated to the secondary forest soil pH (P= 0.544, α= 0.05). Abstract

The objectives of this research is to know the production of Dena-1 varieties under and without oil palm tree (TM 8) using peat soil media in polybags. The results showed that there were differences in the production of Dena 1 soybean varieties planted under palm and open areas using peat soil media, where soybeans planted under oil palm (TM8) were unable to produce only reach vegetative growth, while soybeans were planted in the open yields average number of pods of 5-6 plant pods, average number of seeds of 10 crop seeds and average seed weight of 1.31 grams of planting. Abstract

This study aims tofirst find out the socio-economic factors, the second major income contribution, thirdly knowing the feasibility of farming. The study was conducted at Rantau Selatan District, Labuhanbatu Regency. This study uses methods proportionated stratified random sampling. Data were analyzed by linear regression multiple and R / C analysis. The results of the study show that there are simultaneous factors socioeconomic effect on income at a trust level of 95%. Partially the number of plants, fertilizer costs, pesticide costs, and transportation costs significant effect on income, while depreciation costs, equipment costs, land area, workforce in the family, workforce outside the family, number of dependents in the family, the level of education and the selling price have no significant effect on income. Contribution of oil palm farmers' income to total income farmer family of 78.89%. The R / C value is obtained at 2.50 which means that palm oil farming is feasible financially.  Keywords :farming, palm oil, socio-economic factors

Abstract

One of the factor that determine the quality of cocoa seed is fertility of growing of medium. Fertility of growing medium can be increase with fertilization by using of ZA fertilizer and of NPK 15.15.15 fertilizer be expected to increase cocoa seedlings. This research was carried out in Bukit Perjuangan Village, Rantau Utara Sub District of West Labuhanbatu, East of Nort Sumatera in April – June 2013 using randomize complete block design with two factors. The first factor is ZA fertilizer (0, 0.5, 1, 1.5 gr/polybag) and the second factor is NPK 15.15.15 fertilizer (0, 2, 4 gr/polybag). Parameter observed were plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves, and leavea area. From the research, of ZA fertilizer unsignificantly affect on all parameters. of NPK 15.15.15 fertilizer significantly affect plant height, stem diameter, number of leaves and leaves area. Interaction of ZA fertilizer and of NPK 15.15.15 fertilizer unsignificantly affect on all parameters. The result from this experimental were obtained in the treatment of ZA fertilizer at no ZA fertilizer application ( Z0 ) and of NPK 15.15.15 at no NPK 15.15.15 fertilizer application ( P0 ). Abstract

The design used was a single randomized block design with the dosage of petroganic fertilizer ie: treatment (O0: 0 g / plant, O1: 5 g / plant, O2: 5.5 g / plant and O3: 6 g / plant). Parameters observed were: number of plant leaves (strands), plant leaf area (cm), wet weight of plant (g). The results of this study can be concluded that: 1.Response of Petroganik fertilizer to the number of leaves of mustard plant (Bransissca rapa var.parachinensis) In polybags has no significant effect. 2. The response of Petroganic fertilizer to the area of leaves of the mustard greens (Bransissca rapa var.parachinensis) is seen to have an effect on the real possibility in this observation. Petroganic fertilizers have the right elements in the leaf enlargement such as N. 3. Response of Petroganic fertilizer to wet weight of mustard plant (Bransissca rapa var.parachinensis) Does not seem to influence significantly and even the excessive dosage giving the weight of the plant is less likely to be in this case the nutrient in the fertilizer becomes the residue to the plant so that the mustard plant is poisoned resulting in decreasing the weight of the plant Keywords: Bottled Bottom, Petroganic Fertilizer.

Abstract

The design used a random Design Group (RAK) factorial with 1 factors and five levels of treatment: O0:0 cc/l, O1:5 cc/l, O2:10 cc/l, O3:15 cc/l, O4:8 cc/l, and continued with the test Duncan's Multiple Range tests. The parameters observed were higher plants (cm), number of leaves (strands), diameter clump (cm) and weight of fresh plant (gr). From the results of this research conclusion, delivery of Liquid organic fertilizer (POC) Herbafarm the real effect against all the observed parameters such as: plant height (cm), number of leaves (strands), diameter clump (cm) and weight of fresh plant (gr). Abstract

Sunflower (Helianthus annus L.) is one of the ornamental plant which is economically. It is potential because of oil contains and has the beautiful flower. Induced mutation is important to get genetic diversity of Sunflower. Mutations are genetic changes in either a single cell or a number of genes or chromosomal changes that can cause somaclonal variations. This research was aimed to find the LD20 and LD50 and to identify genetic diversity of Sunflower with the dosage 0, 150, 200, 250 and 300 Gy. The results showed that the higher LD20 and LD50 was at 158.338 gy and 260.339 gy. The gamma ray iradiation was induce variation and affected significantly toward quantitative character of plant height. Key words: diversity, induced mutation, iradiation, LD20, LD50

Abstract

One factor that determines the quality of chili seeds is growing media fertility. Fertility of growing media can be improved by fertilization therefore, through the application of NPK 15.15.15 fertilizer and liquid organik fertilizer blue elbow is expected to increase the growth of pepper plants. The research design used was factorial randomized block design with two factors studied, the first factor was NPK 15.15.15 (N) and organik fertilizer liquid blue eagle (M) with 12 combinations. The treatment of NPK 15.15.15 is N0 = 0 gr / polybag, N1 = 10 gr / polybag, N2 = 20 g / polybag and N3 = 30 g / polybag, while the organik liquid liquefaction of blue eagle is M0 = 0 ml / l water, M1 = 2 ml / l water, M2 = 3 ml / l water. The observed parameters were plant height (cm), stem diameter (cm), flowering plant age (day), and sample plant grain weight (gr). The result of this research showed that NPK 15.15.15 fertilizer on red curly plants showed very significant effect on plant height and real to fruit weight but not significant on the age of stalk and stem diameter. The treatment of liquid organik fertilizer of blue eagle on plants showed significant differences in the age of neonrophytic flowering plants not significant in stem diameter, fruit weight, and plant height. The interaction between NPK 15.15.15 fertilizer and liquid organik fertilizer of blue eagle showed no significant difference in all parameters observed. Abstract

The method used is a randomized block design (RBD) with 12 factorial combinations of treatments and 3 replications, Pearl 16-16-16 NPK factor consists of 4 levels, namely: N0 = Without treatment, N1 = 10 g / plant, N2 = 15 g / plant, N3 = 20 g / plant, while Cow Manure factor consists of 3 levels ie: L0 = Without treatment, L1 = 1 kg / plant, L2 = 1.5 kg / plant. There are 4 parameters observed, namely plant height (cm), stem diameter (mm), weight of the fruit crop sample (g), and perplot fruit weight (g).The results showed that treatment NPK 16-16-16 Pearl significant effect parameters to heavy crop of fruit samples, and heavy fruit perplot while no real influence on the parameters of plant height and stem diameter. Cow Manure treatment showed a significant influence on plant height parameters, but there is also a significant effect on the parameters of the sample weight and the weight of fruit planting fruit perplot. While there was no significant effect on the parameters of trunk diameter. Interaction between NPK Fertilizer and Cow manure did not give the significant effect on all parameters were observed. Abstract

Study the effectivity analysis of Program Usaha Agribisnis Perdesaan (PUAP) and its impact on farmer income levels (case study of the Teluk Jaya Farmers Group Association) aims to 1. knowing how large the effectivity of PUAP funds is for income levels in poverty alleviation in Teluk Desa Sentosa Panai Hulu Subdistrict, 2. to analyze and determine the level of income of Gapoktan Teluk Jaya Farming Business in Teluk Sentosa, Panai Hulu Subdistrict before and after receiving PUAP assistance. The results showed that the effectivity of PUAP program funding is very effective and good, it can be seen from the results of the F test of 12.406 with a significant level of 0.000 while the F value of the table is 2.051. When compared to the value of F test (12.406) > Ftable (2.051) at α 5%, it was concluded that simultaneously the effectivity variable and the PUAP program had a positive effect. The increase in income of the Teluk Jaya Farmers Group in Teluk Sentosa after receiving PUAP funds can be known from the t table for the effectivity variable of 2.663 and the PUAP program for 1.270 with a significant value for each independent variable (2.051); (0.073). Whereas for the t table value in the distribution statistics t table with the level of test α = 5% and df1 = 27 of 2,051. Based on the criteria that if the value is t count> t table); namely (2.663> 2,051) (1,270> 2,051) so that it can be concluded that the effectivity variable partially has a positive and significant effect on the income level.Keywords : effectivity variable,  income level, PUAP program
