Abstract

Pasar Bengkulu region has the level of high population and located along the coast of zakat so that the majority of livelihood population in this area were fishermen. Sanitation in these coastal regions are less good, this looks a litter of garbages on the yard, drainage channel does not flows, and some homes that dispose is to the yard. This research aims to make the draft design integrated wastewater treatment. The method used to spread the questionnaire. A simple statistical analysis is used to make social analysis of the public about the level of education that affect the level of knowledge of citizens about sanitation. Social analysis results showed that the level of education affect lack of knowledge residents about wastewater and sanitation. Based on discharge waste obtained design of wastewater treatment integrated consisting of dividing tub fats and oils as to dimensions 3mx4mx2m, equalization tub 4 m x 4.8 m x 2 m, anaerobic contactor tub 8.5mx4mx2m, aerobic contactor tub 2.5 x 2 m x 2 m and media bed 2.9mx4mx2m, disposition of late 3mx4mx2m with a thick wall of 20 cm and concrete quality K275. This portion of processed water or everything can be thrown into a body of water. Based on the results of the analysis needs a socialization in importance of sanitation

Abstract

This study aims to apply the method of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) to prioritize the management of a watershed that can adopt a variety of stakeholder interests to bring into sustainable DAS management model . Priority weighting method using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) developed by Saaty (2008) . Purpose (Goal) is an integrated watershed management that can adopt the interests of various stakeholders . The criteria used are economic, ecological / environmental , and social . Alternative selected are six namely productivity , income, max discharge and min discharge , erosion , and labor . The result of weighting method using AHP have been known that the top priority of the watershed management purpose is to tackle the issue of maximum discharge/flood (0.322) and after that following the issue of productivity (0,239) . Lowest weight in the workforce (0,031) . The amount of weight above reflects the level of interest of the stakeholders involved in watershed management .

Abstract

As one of the cities on the west coast of Sumatra Island is located in an active seismic lines, causing Bengkulu city into an area that has the potential for an earthquake. This allows also the potential danger of liquefaction when the earthquake occurred. One of the areas in Bengkulu city is the pathway through which the village Lempuing. This study aimed to analyze the potential for liquefaction at the Village Lempuing using probabilistic methods simplified procedure. Probability model used is the probability model developed by Haldar and Tang (1979). The data collected from the results of the geotechnical investigation sondir 6 point spread in the Village Lempuing. Soil resistance parameters in this analysis are based on test data sondir or Cone Penetration Test (CPT). Shear wave velocity data obtained from the correlation of the data CPT Vs. Seismic load parameters used were obtained from the Indonesian Earthquake Zoning Map of 2010 and the seismic history of the city of Bengkulu. The analysis shows the level of probability of liquefaction hazards at the study site is close to 100%. This suggests that the study site has great potential for liquefaction hazards occur when an earthquake occurs.

Abstract

Increasing Exploration of river sand push an action to find other aternative excepting river sand. Using of sea sand become alternative as fine aggregate mixed on making of concrete. The research is conducted to know the effect of fine aggregate mixed to concrete compressive strength. Two kinds of fine aggregate used are river sand (PS) from Pondok Kelapa and sea sand from Lais, which is all bad gradation. Coarse Aggregates used are from quarry Sukaraja and quarry Pondok Kubang. Sea sand consists of two conditions which is not washed (PLTC) and washed (PLC) without regard to content of its mud. Number of samples was 42 samples which were cylindrical in shape with diameter of 15 cm and height of 30 cm. The research carried out by combined 65% PS + 35% (PLC or PLTC) and 75% PS + 25% (PLC or PLTC) then compared it to concrete of comparison. Test of concrete compressive strength was performed at 28 days. The result showed that the greatest concrete compressive strength was 16,88 MPa occured on a mixture of 75% PS + 25% PLTC using coarse aggregate from Sukaraja. Mixture of 75% PS + 25% PLTC using coarse aggregate from Sukaraja increased concrete compressive strength of 5,47 MPa (+47,93%) to concrete of comparison using 100% PLTC and 4,05 MPa (+24,02%) to concrete of comparison using 100% PS.

Abstract

The objectives of this research was to analyze how much the loss of irrigation water that occured in secondary channel at the irrigation area of Air Nipis Dam, South Bengkulu. Water losses were analyzed by using the method of debit in and out. The primary data were flow velocity, water depth, and cross section. In addition to primary data also used secondary data. They were temperature, wind speed, and humidity obtained from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Departement of Bengkulu. This research analyzed how much effect the percentage of water loss due to seepage and evaporation. From analysis calculations obtained the percentage of water loss value due to seepage and evaporation was not too significant. it can be concluded based on the observation of most water loss occurs due to the other factors, such as leaks in the lines, wild plant vegetation along the channel, etc. The results of this research showed that the percentage of total water loss value occurred on channel BN Kr 4 of 85,40% for the left secondary channel and channel BSB 1 of 74,16% for right secondary channels. While the value of the smallest percentage of total water loss occured in channel BN Kr 7 of 24,14% for the left secondary channel and channel BDA 1 of 22,53% for right secondary channels

Abstract

Concrete building construction is easier and more economical when using local material including the water. This article is about improving swamp water by filtering it to use in concrete production. As the comparator is concrete with drinking water from The local water supply utility (PDAM) of Bengkulu. The 15 cm cubes specimens were tested at the age of 7, 14, 21, and 28 days to find out the compressive strength at different ages. The concrete was designed with water cement ratio 0.5, slump value 6-10 cm and maximum aggregate 20 mm. The casting and curing specimens were done according to SNI 03-2493-2002. The compressive strength results showed that the filtered swamp water concrete and the unfiltered one at 28th day were 98,2% dan 90,1% to the PDAM one. The trend of the compressive strength of swamp water concrete tend to decline with the increasing age. The compressive strength of swamp water concrete at age of 28th day was 89,1% lower than the strength at the age of 7th day. The filterred swamp water made the concrete compressive strength better.
