The Rawasains Journal contains information on the results of research activities, conceptual thinking and reviews of agriculture (Agrotechnology and Agribusiness) on lebak wetlands. This scientific journal was published by Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Pertanian (STIPER) Amuntai. Started to be published at the end of 2011 with the frequency of publishing twice a year, in June and December. Editorial staff receives writings from scientific research, both in the form of research and empirical research in fields related to Agrotechnology and Agribusiness. Editors can abbreviate and improve writing without changing the intent and contents through the editing process by the Editor Team. The reviewer process was carried out by partner partners with the blind peer reviewer method. Manuscripts sent must be original texts and not being considered for publication by other journals or publishers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in the development of handicrafts in the Sungai Limas village of Hulu Sungai Utara, and alternative development strategies in the Sungai Limas village of Hulu Sungai Utara. Based on the results obtained from the analysis of IFE matrix total score of 2.767 and EFE matrices obtained a total score of 2.939 where the matrix V IE placed on the strategic quadrant keep and maintain (hold and maintain). Abstract

Land-use change forest conversion and poor land management have damaged forest ecosystem. It is automatically disturbing the components in the forest ecosystem, among other soil arthropods. Therefore, environmental friendly land management system is required. One such system is Sengon-based Agroforestry with Porang Cultivation. The objective of research is (1) to understand the structure and function of soil arthropods in the Porang and non-Porang lands; Research is conducted at KPH Saradan, Madiun Regency. Two locations are chosen, Agroforestry land with Porang cultivation and non-Porang Agroforestry land. Method of research is observational survey. Sampling technique toward Arthropod is Pitfall Trap. Result of research indicates that the diversity of soil Arthropods family in the Porang land is counted to 27 families, while in the non-Porang land, 30 families of soil Arthropods are estimated. Shannon-Wienner Diversity Index in the non-Porang land is in low category with H>1 (1.32), while the diversity index in the Porang land is in very low category with H<1 (0.83). Bray-Curtis Index, which is measuring the similarity of two compositions of land community in the Porang and non-Porang lands, is counted to 0.91, submitting to the category of not different. The community of land Arthropods in the Porang land plays some roles such as soil decomposer (57 %), litter transformer (22%), and predator (21%). The roles of litter transformer and predator have similar rate (26 %).

Abstract

This study evaluating the marketing aspect swamp buffalo meat is held in the Sapala village Paminggir District of Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. This village was chosen because there were many swamp buffalo traders and breeders. The research goal is to identify the elasticity of price transmission swamp buffalo in the study area. The elasticity of price transmission on buffalo meat marketing in the village Sapala Paminggir Hulu subdistrict North River is 3,089. Elasticity of price transmission represents less than one (Et < 1), meaning that a 1% change in the price at the consumerlevel will lead to a change in price by 0.281% at the producer level. This shows the price is relatively inelastic transmission. So the price changes at the consumer level will provide a little change in farmer prices it’s mean that marketing of buffalo swamp meat is not efficient.

Abstract

Yellow red podsolic soil has the potential for crop cultivation. The problems faced in the development of plant cultivation on yellow red podsolic land are very low pH and nutrient poor. The purpose of this study was (i) to know the effect of giving cow urine liquid fertilizer to the growth and yield of cucumber plants on yellow red podsolic land (ii) to obtain the best dose of cow urine liquid fertilizer on the growth and yield of cucumber plants on red yellow podzolic fields. The study was conducted in Mantimin Village, Batu Mandi Subdistrict, Balangan Regency in June - July 2011. This study used a Randomized Block Design (RBD), with 5 treatments and 4 replications, so that all of them were 20 experimental units. Each experimental unit consists of 4 plants. Factors are tested for cow urine liquid dosage, u0 = 0 cc / liter of water / plot, u1 = 25 cc of water per plot, u2 = 50 cc / liter of water / plot, u3 = 75 cc / liter of water / plot, and u4 = 100 cc / liter of water / plot. The results showed that the treatment of doses of cow urine fertilizer significantly affected plant height variables aged 14 days after planting (HST), number of leaves aged 14 HST, number of branches, age of plants at flowering, number of fruit crops and weight of fruit at the best dose is 100 cc / liter of water / plot (u4) and does not show any influence on plant height at 28 HST.

Abstract

This study aims to assess household food security, social and economicsfactors that affect household food security and knowing the dominant factor in household food security in the village of Namun, Jaro District of Tabalong regency. The level of household food security is dominated by a group of food enough that 30 households or by 40% and 29 household food security by presenting 38.67%. Groups that are not food secure are 16 households or 21.33%. Groups of households have food secure rice supplies between 120-239 days with eating frequency of household members 3 times a day. F test analysis results obtained value of 2.431> F table value of 2.346 at odds of 0.05 <0.05 means that all the variables in the equation simultaneously a significant effect on household food security. Results of t test analysis of socio-economics factors are the most dominant influence on household food security is a factor value income amounted to 2.058 t count> t table value of 1.667 with 0.041 odds <0.05. This suggests that factors ofincomesignificantly affect, but the number of family, the level of family Education, and expenditure, each no significant effect on household food security

Abstract

This is research result with aim to for the cost analysis of, acceptance and comparison of earnings of farmer of executor of manajement of inwrought crop (PTT) by execute management of inwrought crop of rice field paddy. This research is executed by in Countryside of Pugaan Sub-Province of Tabalong. Election of farmer of sampel by purposive counted 23 people for the farmer of executor of PTT rice field paddy and by random sampling counted 23 people for farmer oflis non executor of PTT rice field paddy. Data which used in this research in the form of primary data and data of sekunder collected with interview technique, and record-keeping of survey. Management of inwrought crop ( Paddy rice field PTT ) are new innovation to solve various problem of improvement of paddy crop productivity. Result of analysis of that flattening to flatten in one hectare is expense of for the executor of PTT Rp. 20.046.618,45 and to the non executor of PTT Rp. 16.641.386,9, while result produce Rp. 22. 638.000 and Rp. 17.801.640,85. Earnings for the farmer of executor of PTT is Rp. 17.232.171,05 in one hectare, for farmer of non executor of PTT is Rp. 12.755.601,16 in one hectare. Of the analysis result concluded that flattening to flatten in one hectare of expense of, acceptance and earnings of farmer of executor of higher PTT than farmer of non executor of PTT
