Abstract

This study aims to examine the validity and reliability of the construct of creativity instruments, determine the contribution of aspects and indicators of creativity in measuring the creativity variable and confirm the hypothesized model that is the suitability of the model with data using the Second order confirmatory factor analysis (2nd Order CFA). The population in this study were second semester students of mathematics education at the University of PGRI Semarang with a total sample of 105 students. Samples were taken using non-probability sampling techniques. Data analysis was performed using the Linear Structural Model (LISREL) version 8.8. The results of the analysis indicate that aspects of fluency, flexibility, originality and elaboration, are able to reflect creativity variables positively, validly and significantly which are supported by behavioral indicators of each aspect. The theoretical model of the creativity variable is fit with empirical data. Valid and significant and reliable aspects of creativity to measure student creativity. The most dominant aspect that reflects creativity is the originality aspect and the weakest aspect is flexibility.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar matematika siswa yang disebabkan oleh minat belajar matematika siswa masih kurang, proses pembelajaran yang terjadi kurang efektif. Oleh karena itu diperlukan pemilihan model dan media pembelajaran yang salah satunya adalah model pembelajaran Osborn dengan media Pohon Matematika. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan hasil belajar dan mendeskripsikan respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran dan media pembelajaran yang diterapkan. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas VII C SMPN 1 Semanding tahun pelajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 32 siswa. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Data dalam penelitian ini adalah hasil belajar siswa dan respon siswa yang diperoleh dengan metode tes dan angket. Analisis data adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Dari hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa, Penerapan model pembelajaran Osborn dengan media Pohon Matematika dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa SMP. Hal ini dapat ditunjukan dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar matematika pada siklus I, II, dan III yaitu (60,47; 68,44 dan 86,25) dan prosentase ketuntasan belajar klasikal pada siklus I, II, dan III adalah (46,88%; 75%; 93,75%). Respon siswa terhadap model pembelajaran yang diterapkan pada setiap aspek selama pembelajaran yang berada pada keterangan senang yaitu 92,58%, sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa respon siswa terhadap penerapan model pembelajaran Osborn dengan media Pohon Matematika adalah positif.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the problem solving abilities students of mathematical logic. The approach used is a qualitative approach and descriptive statistics, namely with qualitative data used in the form of observations of the steps of problem posing and students problem solving abilities when learning takes place. Data in the form of test results of student work and data collection conducted interviews with 3 subjects representing various levels, namely students with low, medium and high abilities. The results showed that: a) students did not understand the problem such as not linking information obtained; b) students are less able to arrange steps to plan settlement well; c) students do not carry out plans on all questions; d) students cannot make conclusions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the profile of junior high school students' creativity in solving mathematical problems in terms of learning styles. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative. Research subjects are junior high school students with visual, auditory, and kinesthetic style. Research subjects were 6 students, consisting of 2 students in visual learning style, 2 auditorially-style students, and 2 students of kinesthetic learning style. The results of research are as follows: The visual creativity profile of the students in visual learning style tends to be low in solving math problems. Audience-style student creativity profiles tend to be high in solving mathematical problems. And the students' creativity profile with kinesthetic learning tends to be very low in solving math problems.

Abstract

Each student has a different level of critical thinking ability, while critical thinking is a basic ability that students must possess. The purpose of this study is to describe students' critical thinking skills based on Facion steps on the subject lines and trapezoidal. This research is a descriptive study using quantitative and qualitative data. The research instrument used was in the form of critical thinking ability test questions and interview guidelines. The research subjects used were 32 students while the study sample analyzed the data as many as 3 students who entered the 3 categories of high, medium, and low critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique used in the form of descriptive statistical data analysis developed based on indicators of thinking, namely interpretation, analysis, evaluation, and inference. The results of this study indicate that students' critical thinking skills based on Facion steps on the subject line and trapezoid class VII-D SMP Negeri 1 Jenu 2017/2018 school year are generally in the low category with an average score of 64.82.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the regulation of Government Regulation No. 55 of 2013 concerning the Single Tuition Policy (UKT) at the State Higher Education Institution. The UKT is related to the education costs that must be paid by students according to the economic conditions of students. The implementation of this regulation still faces several obstacles, including the appeal of UKTs that occur every year since the enactment of this rule. This appeal was driven by a sense of dissatisfaction from parents of students towards the UKT group that was imposed on their sons / daughters. Departing from the problem, the researcher wants to apply an application to assist in determining the student UKT class based on fuzzy logic (fuzzy logic). The methods used in this study are literature studies, documentation and interviews with related parties. Literature studies are used to create a UKT group determination program, documentation is used to record data that has been uploaded by students during registration, and interview methods to extract information needed from data sources. The results of this study are a program that utilizes the Fuzzy Inference System in the MATLAB toolbox. The program trial was conducted on 96 students and the results showed that there were differences in the acceptance of UKT funds when using non-fuzzy programs and with fuzzy programs. The results obtained are there are differences in university acceptance of 0.203% greater by using fuzzy programs. From this study it can be concluded that fuzzy logic can be used to determine the student UKT group with the help of fuzzy inference system in the MATLAB toolbox.
