Abstract

This study aimed to: i) analyze the influence of factors of production to the level of farm production Red Chillies, ii) determine the feasibility of farming Red Chillies during one production process, research was conducted in the village of Bukit Batu subdistrict Sei Gohong city of Palangkaraya. Total sample of farmers as many as 30 farmers was taken by simple random sampling (Sample Random Sampling) from the total population of Red Pepper farmers as many as 60 farmers. The analytical tool to answer the first objective equation is used Cobb Douglas: Y = boX1b1X2b2X3b3X4b4X5b5 where Y = production (kg), X1 = land area (Ha), X2 = Seed (kg), X3 = fertilizer (kg), X4 = pesticides (liter), X5 =labor (HOK), bo = coefficient parameter. While the analytical tool used to answer the second goal used analysis Revenue Cost Ratio (RCR), which is the ratio between the total revenue with the total cost of production. If RCR> 1 then farming is feasible to cultivate. The results showed that the factors of production land, seed, fertilizer, pesticides and labor simultan eously affect significantly against Red Chillies production in Sub Sei Gohong Bukit Batu subdistrict city of Palangka Raya. Value Fcount (97,513)> Ftable (2,409). Partially influence of each factor of production to production Red Chillies with a confidence level of 95%, the area of land with an elasticity of 0.329 (significant), seeds 0.150 (significant), fertilizer 0.314 (significant), pesticides 0.140 (significant), and labor -0.020 (not significant). The value of Revenue Cost Ratio of Red Chili farming is 3.2. It means that every production cost expense of Rp 1,000 will generate revenue of Rp 3,200, -. RCR> 1 means that Red Chilli farming in Kelurahan Sei Gohong District of Bukit Batu Kota Palangka Raya is feasible or profitable.

Abstract

The importance of NPK fertilizer for plants makes testing NPK fertilizer important to know the quality of fertilizer sold in the market. CV. Scorlest produces NPK fertilizers with doses of 20-14- 13 and labeled Lodrin. This fertilizer also needs to be tested its effectiveness on the resulting coffee seedlings. The use of NPK fertilizer is expected to affect the index of the readiness of seeds in coffee plants. Based on this research, this study aims to determine the level of effectiveness and efficiency of Lodrin fertilizer 20-14-13 on the growth of coffee seedlings. This experiment was conducted in the village of Kemiri, Jabung District, Malang Regency, conducted from August 2016 until December 2016. The experiment used a complete randomized block design with three replications. The clones used are BP 308 age 7 months. Based on the results of experiments conducted Lodrin Fertilizer 20-14-13 have the best quality seed index at a minimum dose of 3.5g per plant plus 0.75g urea per plant technically this fertilizer passed as equal to standard fertilization and higher than the control. Lodrin fertilizer 20-14-13 gives R / C ratio of 3.14 so that economically fertilizer is feasible for use in coffee cultivation business.

Abstract

This study aims to identify internal and external factors that affect the management of vegetable farming, development strategies, and priorities so that it is expected to be useful in developing the management of this farm. Qualitative data were compiled from informants consisting of selected key informants and local respondents selected randomly from local farmers. This data is analyzed descriptively and quantized by using SWOT method and by using QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix) matrix. The results showed that the development of vegetable farming is influenced by the availability of large enough land but less fertile / peat. The trend of market demand tends to increase but there are fewer local and external competitors; Strategy analysis through SWOT matrix resulted seven alternative strategies that is optimizing the potential of land owned by opening access road to vegetable farming area, and expanding vegetable planting area; follow technological developments in vegetable farming, especially organic vegetables, and develop business with the utilization of capital assistance; increase production and quality of crops; to make peatlands suitable for agricultural land and to minimize costs. Priority strategies that can be applied in the development of vegetable farming based on QSPM are: the means of production and agricultural tools available locally, the distance of the competitor's location with the vegetable market further, and the majority of the population work as farmers (no shortage of labor).
