Abstract

The prevalence of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) in Indonesia in 2013-2018 has increased from 0.2% to 0.38%. Patients with CKD have low erythropoietin, so that the production of erythrocytes is disrupted and causes anemia. Anemia in CKD includes the type of normocytic-normochromic. Hypochromic occurs because iron reserves cannot be used in the process of erythropoiesis, resulting in decreased synthesis of hemoglobin. Erythrocytes will appear pale on the peripheral blood smear. Hypochromic is clinically associated with iron deficiency anemia. Changes in the color of the erythrocytes also indicate a state of immaturity of the cells, which causes erythrocyte hypochromacy. This study aims to determine MCH levels and erythrocyte hypochromatous abnormalities in patients with chronic kidney disease on hemodialysis therapy at Kraton Hospital, Pekalongan Regency. The research method used is descriptive, namely the type of research that describes the phenomenon of the object under study in the form of a narrative. The results of the analysis of the MCH values in the normal category were 25 samples (71.4%), the MCH values in the low category were 10 (28.6%). There were 9 samples (25.7%) of mild hypochromacy in the mild hypochromic category, 15 (42.9%) of moderate hypochromic category, 11 (31.4%) of severe hypochromic category. So it can be concluded that the MCH values in the normal category are more than in the low category and hypocracy in the moderate category is more than mild and severe hypochromacy.

Abstract

Preeclampsia in Indonesia is the second leading cause of maternal death after bleeding with an incidence rate of 3-10%. Preeclampsia is the leading cause of death and complications among pregnant women globally. The risk of preeclampsia increases as the mother's weight increases during pregnancy. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between weight gain and the incidence of preeclampsia at the Banyumas Regency Health Center. This study used a casecontrol design. The results of this study showed that most respondents in the case group (preeclampsia) had an increase in weight during pregnancy in the abnormal category (weight ≥12.5 kg) as many as 66 respondents (66%) and in the control group (not preeclampsia) had an increase in weight in the normal category (weight <12.5 kg) as many as 97 respondents (97%). The results of the McNemara test stated that the proportion of weight gain ≥12.5 kg in the case group (preeclampsia) was 66% and the proportion of weight gain ≥12.5 kg in the control group (not preeclampsia) was 1% so that the difference in the proportion of weight gain ≥12.5 kg in the case group and control group was 65%. There is a relationship between weight gain and the incidence of preeclampsia in pregnant women at the Banyumas Regency Health Center with a p-value of <0.0001 (p-value ≤ α).

Abstract

The puerperium or puerperium period is the period after labor is completed up to 6 weeks or 42 days. During the puerperium, the reproductive organs will slowly experience changes as they were before pregnancy. This change in the reproductive organs is called involution. Based on the 2018 Riskesdas data, the process of starting breastfeeding mostly occurs 1-6 hours after birth (35.2%) and <1 hour (early breastfeeding initiation) at 34.5%. Meanwhile, the lowest breastfeeding initiation occurred at 7-23 hours after birth, which was 3.7%. It can be seen that the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding in 2020 decreased by 1.10% compared to coverage in 2019 (57.77%). Almost all Puskesmas in the Palu City area have exclusive breastfeeding coverage >50%, and refer to the 2020 Ministry of Health Strategic Plan target of 40%.
