Abstract

This research aims to determine the technical organization of corn farming and to identify factors that affect the production of corn farming at Sungai Riam village of Tanah Laut.This research also used the survey method and observation techniques. Respondents were 36 people, which was conducted by the census. Analysis tool used in the multiple linier regression analysis. Results of multiple linier regression analysis showed that there is significant influence between independent variable on the corn farming income.  F test results showed that the significant influence between independent variables  with the same dependent variable (income). While the results of the T test , showed in one by one the factors that significantly influence against corn farming income is  the seed (X2) , labor outside the family (X3), urea fertilizer (X4), KCl fertilizer (X5), /sp-36 fertilizer (X6) , manure (X7)  and herbicides (X8). Which is not significant is area of land (X1).Determination coefficient (R2) of 0.927 which means that the variable that is used to explain the variation of dependent variables 92,7 % while the remaining 7.3 % is influenced by other variables.

Abstract

This research was a solution to free desease banana kepok yellow which was decrease the banana product in East Kalimantan. This research were devided three years and it would be continued. The first years seedling propagation free desease through tissue culture. The second years the seedling derived tissue culture which was planted on the field, until harvesting fruit product. The third years processing fruit product to several kind of industrial product. The aim of the first years research was the highest number shoot regenerated from the explant center of banana corm, which induction several combination treatment of plant growth regulator Benzyl Amino Purine (BAP) and Indole Butyric Acid (IBA). This research conducted at Tissue Culture Laboratory of Agriculture Faculty of Mulawarman University, from March until November 2015. This research was used Randomized Completely Block Design with two factors. The firest factor : BAP consist 3 level consentration were : 2,5; 5 and 10 ppm and the secon factor : IBA consist 3 level consentration were : 0; 1 and 2 ppm. So that all of combination of plant growth  regulator were 9 treatments. Each treatments were replicated ten times. Result of this research showed that all combination of concentration treatment of plant growth regulator BAP and IBA could be induce the growth and differentiation of explant center of banana corm in Murashige and Skoog (MS) media, like : inbibition, developed tissue of explant, callusing and shooting, although the percentage and totality was variation. The colour of callus was yellow and light green. While the structure was hard and compact. The highest average number of shoots induction at VII combination treatments BAP 10 ppm + IBA 0 ppm ware 3.80± 1,76 shoots/explant which was the root un completely development. So that it need sub culture to the rooting induction media with IBA 10 ppm to be formed completely plantlet (seedling), which could be survived on acclimatization processing.

Abstract

This research conducted to know ; level of labour efficiency of chili farm effort. Method used survey with observation technique, where farmer follow the example of taken at sensus modestly as 10 farmer. Result of research obtained by storey;level of productivity equal to 10.267,48 kg/ha. Distribution of external labour  family (TKLK) 74,04% and family labour (TKDK) 62,70% from totalizeing the labour effusing. Mount efficiency of labour from facet of labour productivity obtained value 9,73 kg/HKO, from facet labour Productivity Indek obtained Rp 687.755,68/HKO.

Abstract

           The availability of quality forage is limited so that the necessary efforts to provide forage quality and its availability guaranteed. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of different Bokashi fertilizer on protein and crude fiber content of grass (Pennisetum purpureum). This research method using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 replications consisting of: P0: Control (without Bokashi). P1: Giving ground bokasi 5 kg + 15 kg (ratio 1: 3). P2: Giving ground bokasi 10 kg + 10 kg (ratio 1: 1). P3: Giving bokasi 15 kg + 5 kg soil (3: 1) . observed. production of dry metter ingredients, protein and crude fiber from grass harvested at 60 days. The results showed that administration of different Bokashi can give effect to increase the protein content and decreased crude fiber. Concluded Bokhasi grass can improve the productivity of  grass.

Abstract

Belida (Chitala sp.) bone is one of the waste from amplang processing which not treated properly yet until now. The aim of this study were to determine the best condition of presto processing time and boiling frequency by protein hydrolysis method based on based on highest calcium obtained and to characterize properties of fish bone powder obtained. This study used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with four treatment and three replications. Observed variable in this study were yield  moisture content, protein content,  fat content, ash content, and calcium content. The condition of treatment were P2R1 (2 hour presto and once boiling), P2R2 (2 hour presto and twice boiling), P3R1 (3 hour presto and once boiling), and P3R2 (3 hour presto and twice boiling). The results showed  the treatment of P3R2 was the best treatment  to obtain highest calcium content of fish bone powder. The properties of belida bone powder that P3R2 obtained were 27.77 %  of yield, 3.12 %  of moisture content, 0.26 % of  protein content,0.91 % of fat content, 88.13% of  ash content, and 30.93 % of calcium content.

Abstract

The objective of this research was to determine the lowland rice farm income and knowing the lowland rice farm income of farmers in Kota Bangun I Village, Kota Bangun sub District, Kutai Kartanegara District. This research started on July until September 2013, with research location is in Kota Bangun I Village, Kota Bangun sub District, Kutai Kartanegara District.. The method that used is simple random sampling method. The data needed by research are primary and secondary data. Primary data is got by observation and interview with responder use questionnaire which have been compiled in line with research.  While secondary data is got from bibliography study and institution information which is related to research execution. The results of this research shows that : Average of production cost of lowland rice plantation to one season was Rp 242.032.750,00 mt-1 or Rp 6.050.819,00 mt-1 respondent-1.Total revenue farmers was Rp 950.836.000,00  mt-1 or Rp 23.770.900,00 mt-1 respondent-1 and average farm income is Rp 708.803.250,00  mt-1 or Rp 17.720.081,00 respondent-1.Value of R/C ratio was 3,87 meaning that the cultivated lowland rice farm is already profitable then planting a lowland rice can for resumes.

Abstract

The reaserch was conducted to analizies the interaction of the responsibilities of varieties, N and chicken manure fertillizer, analizies of varieties treatment, analizies dosage of  N and chicken manure fertilizer to growth, yield an quality of kenaf fiber. The design of the reaserch used (split-split plot design) in a Randomized Block Design (RBD) factorial. The main plot is Nitrogen fertilizer (N), sub plot is chicken manure fertilizer and the sub-subplot is kenaf varieties (V). The all treatment was repeated in three replication. The numbers of plants in the reaserch are 2.700 units. Plot square is 2,25 meter square respectively. The results showed, the interaction have occured 75 after plantig  days  on the plant higest. Nitrogen fertilizer (30 gram urea/plot) after  manure fertilizer (3.380 gram chicken manure fertilizer/plot), KR-14 variety, the weight of wet and dry roots. The best kenaf fiber quality is white (7,20%). The best chemistry composition of kenaf fiber is KR-14 too.  The higest average of fiber strenght showed combination of 40 gram urea dosage/plot, 3.380 gram chicken manure/plot and KR-14 treatment whith value 206 mf/g.

Abstract

Maize crop (Zea mays L.) is one type of food crop seeds of the grass family. This plant is one of the important food crops, in addition to wheat and rice. The productivity of maize in Indonesia in general is still low, the cause other than packet proper cultivation and use of high yielding varieties impartial fertilization also not done. Along with organic farming, the use of various types of organic fertilizers both solid and liquid is also used to maize crop. This study aims to (i) to determine the liquid organic fertilizer application and (ii) determine the best dose of a liquid organic fertilizer application on the growth and yield of sweet maize. The research was conducted in the Nalui Village District of Jaro Tabalong Regency from May to August 2015. This study used a randomized group design (RGD) single factor. Factors studied were doses of liquid organic fertilizer by 5 treatments, namely: (p0) 0 cc.plot-1  (p1) 200 cc.plot-1  (p2) 400 cc.plot-1  (p3) 600 cc.petak -1 and (p0) 800 cc.plot-1  . The results of various doses of liquid organic fertilizer showed a significant influence on plant height at 28 and 35 days after planting (DAP), giving a significant influence on the cob weight, the length of the cob with husks and cobs without husks long. No effect on plant height at 14 and 21 DAP and leaf number aged 14, 21, 28 and 35 DAP. Liquid organic fertilizer dose of 800 cc.plot-1  gave the best growth and yield of the crop of sweet maize.

Abstract

            Effect of Storage length  of  Alabio Meat Ducks in the refrigerator on the Quality of Microbiology , pH and organoleptic has been conducted in the Laboratory of Veterinary Research Centres (BVet) Banjarbaru . The experimental design used was Completely Randomized Design with 5 treatments and  4 replications. The variables measured were the number of microbes with total plate count (TPC) , pH and organoleptic which include color , flavor and consistency. Data were analyzed by analysis of variance (ANOVA) . As for organoleptic test using Kruskal Wallis test . In case of significantly different results , then continued by Duncan Multiple Range Test. The results showed that the Length storagealabio duck meat  in refrigerator  affect significantly to the organoleptic until 8th day refer to  a decrease in pH, color, flavor and consistency of meat Alabio, but the number of microbes was not significantly although judging the trend of his going see a decline until 4th day .

Abstract

Aging is a natural and spontaneous phenomenon which occurs during storage of dry grain, involving physical changes and chemical that would alter the quality of the cooking, processing, taste and nutritional value as well as affect the commercial value of rice.  Naturally aging takes a long time between 6-12 months so it is less economical. Aging may be accelerated by increasing the grain moisture content and storage temperature. Freshly harvested rough rice   contains high moisture content ranging between 21-26% and respiration  activity is still high which generate heat that can be accumulated by the packaging, so the grain temperature increases. The purpose of this study was to determine the types of packaging which can increase the temperature and RH storage, milling yield and head rice yield. Grain varieties used are Siam Pandak with five types of packaging, ie black plastic bags, sacks, cans, wood and tarpaulin, and stored for 72 hours. As a control, direct drying grain harvest is used. Observations are including temperature and RH in packaging, milling recovery and head rice yields. The results showed that all types of packaging used can increase the temperature and RH in the packaging than the temperature and RH in storage space. The most high milling recovery obtained from black plastic packaging, while the head rice yields all kinds of packaging meets the quality criteria V ISO 6128-2008 except wood packaging, although based on the percentage of head rice, tarpaulins packaging has the highest head rice.
