Abstract

           The fisheries sector has a potential force in supporting development in the region, particularly the nutritional needs of local communities in addition to being a factor of regional economic growth.  Diversification of products processed fishery products into one solution for success in nutrition.  Stick fish into processed products to diversify the selection of raw material use fish that generally only use mackerel fish. The research objective was to determine the organoleptic properties of the product stick fish on the fish raw material and determine the effect of different types of fish as the raw material to the nutritional value of the product of fish sticks. The experimental design used in this study is completely randomized design (CRD) single factor consisting of 3 treatments 3 repetitions.  Treatment use of raw materials of different fish include mackerel, manyung and remang. The results showed that the organoleptic stick mackerel have the highest average total of 8.38 (so ideal) compared with other fish sticks. The use of raw materials of different fish to produce value or nutrient content is not much different. That is very possible manyung and remang fish as the choice of raw materials substitute mackerel fish.

Abstract

To the effect of observational it to know technically paddy farming management and to know eknomis's ala hits cost, acceptance and paddy farming gain varietas Pandak at Silvan Kiram. This research utilize survey method with tech observation, panarikan samples to utilize simple random tech( Simple random is sampling) ,  Total varietas Pandak's paddy farmer at Silvan Kiram as much 102 person. Take at random simple( Simple Random is Sampling ) as much 20 % (20 person) of all population.  Acquired production average as big as 3.497,40 kg / farmers. Accepting acquired acceptance paddy farmer average as big as Rp. 27. 979. 200,00 / Average gain which gotten by farmer as big as Rp. 15. 338. 796,62 / farmers

Abstract

Characteristic of high volatility in the flavor component is a problem at the time of application. The seven of flavor compounds used as a model, i.e ethyl butanoate, ethyl crotonate, a-pinene, myrcene, limonene, linalool, and a-terpineol encapsulated with stearic starch hydrolyzate and propionic starch hydrolyzate  by spray drying. The encapsulated flavor products stored in bottle at 30, 37,5, and 45 oC for 9 weeks. The  analysis is retention flavor with chromatography gas. Stability retention of flavor components were analyzed by Arrhenius and linear equation. The results showed the influence of temperature, the rate of decline in the stability of the encapsulated flavor component retention there is a difference between the matrix stearic starch hydrolyzate and propionic starch hydrolyzate. Components of flavor encapsulated in stearic starch hydrolyzate fastest down the stability of retention is linalool followed by a-terpineol, myrcene, limonene, and a-pinene. The flavor components encapsulated in propionic starch hydrolyzate  fastest down the stability of retention is  a-pinene followed by myrcene, linalool,  a-terpineol, and limonene.

Abstract

The study aims to determine the effect of some alkaline hydrolysis to decolagenation , Ca and P content of chicken bones to produce Special Bone meal. Research using experimental design completely randomized nested (6X2), which consists of factor A are the type of Alkali (filtrat Abu Sekam (FAS) 10%, FAS 20%, KOH 2% KOH 4%, NaOH 2%, and NaOH 4% ) and factor W is the immersion time (24 hours and 48 hours) with each treatment was repeated five. The results showed that the type of alkali significantly affect (p≤0.05) decolegenation, the content of Ca and P chicken bones, while the immersion time factor significantly affected (p≤0.05) decolagenation and P content of chicken bones, but not significantly affect (p>0.05) the Ca content of chicken bones. Special Products Bone Meal best chicken bone obtained from the hydrolysis of chicken bone by 4% NaOH with a soaking time of 48 hours. With the ability decolagenation 60 ± 1.82% and the content of Ca, P, respectively 25.59 ± 0.57%, and 12.57 ± 0.26%

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the differences of education and the status of agricultural extension  for farmers perception of the level of extension role in Sungai Pandan Hulu Sungai Utara. The study uses primary data from 44 farmers respondents by questionnaire to know their perceptions of the role of educator then tested the difference between education level by college and non-collage as well as the status of civil servants and THL-TBPP with MANOVA analysis used Minitab software. Differences in education level and status counselor has a relationship with the farmer answers about their  perceptions of the average level of the role of agricultural extension in Sungai Pandan Hulu Sungai Utara. At least there is farmer who responded more positively to the extension status of civil servants and collage educated. Or at least there is one factor extension status and level of education showed differences in the perception of farmers to the average level of the role of agricultural extension.

Abstract

          This study aims to determine patterns rearing of ducks are integrated with the palm oil, and  know how contribution the maintenance of duck to palm plant.The method used in this research is a case study in Farmers Group Taruna Jaya Pelaihari, Tanah Laut district that maintain of ducks integrated with oil palm plantations. The results showed that rearing ducks effective on integrase with oil palms use a mixed pattern, with three segments, namely from DOD for one month in the enclosures with a dirt floor, at the age 1- 6 months duck removable to roam among oil palm trees, and when it begins to lay eggs 50% per day until late in the maintenance (+ 20 months) is raised on the stage enclosure. The results also showed that in addition to producing eggs, integrase duck with oil palm trees can be reduce maintenance costs on maintenance of oil palm, including free of weed, free of inorganic fertilizers except as much as 1.5 kg / tree / year of calcium oxida. The growth of oil palm production is better shown with a larger diameter trunk circumference and result production is higher than reared conventionally.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the health of Tilapia Gift and reared in cages and water quality conditions of the river masta as indicators of environmental health Masta river waters. The method used is a survey method, and analyzed by descriptive qualitative, Research results show that the health of tilapia gift that is maintained in the system of cages in the village of Masta is in good health and normal condition, wherein: hematocrit, ertitrosit, hemoglobin values, everything is in the range of normal values. Similarly, the results of water quality analysis, showed that the water quality parameter value, good temperature, pH, DO, and brightness in the normal range and within the limits tolerated by fish.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the financial feasibility of salted fish processing business  Seruyan Hilir in district Seruyan. The method used is the method of census, census method is a research method that uses all individuals in the population so that in this study did not use samples. Analysis of the data used is qualitative analysis to analyze the costs incurred for activities ranging from the cost of investment, production operations and financial analysis used to determine feasible or not its processing business, salted fish using the criteria for eligibility of investment are: Net Present Value ( NPV), Internal rate of Return (IRR), Net Benefit Cost ratio (Net B / C), Payback Period and sensitivity analysis switching value to determine the sensitivity level of effort toward the changes to assumptions used for example only the first assumption the price of raw materials fresh fish rose 10%, assuming both the selling price of salted fish down 10%, and assuming a third the price of raw materials fresh fish rose 10% and the price of salted fish down 10% on the analysis finasial processing business, salted fish seen on the criteria of investment used salted fish processing business is still feasible to be developed or executed and based on the analysis of switching value that the reduction in the selling price of salted fish is more sensitive than the increase in raw material use fresh fish.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to assess the sustainability of the system through the development of a sustainability index in beef cattle farm in coal post mining land. The study conducted in the coal mining company at Kutai regency. The method used was descriptive through case studies. The technique is done by purposive sampling based on the number of beef cattle reared in the post-mining land. Analysis of beef cattle cultivation used basis multidimensional scaling (MDS) based on the dimensions of the ecological, economic, social and cultural. Each attribute has a score. Furthermore, the score of each attribute dimensional analyzed to determine one or several points that reflect the position of the sustainability of the beef cattle farm systems. Through this MDS sustainability point position can be visualized. Sustainability index has a scale interval of 0 to 100. If the index value of more than 50 categorized sustainable and is less than 50 was not sustainable. The results of  ecological dimensions index was 55.56, economic dimension index was 66.67, and  sustainable index for social dimension was 72.73. If sustainability index value on the range of 50.00 – 75.00 was on the category of fair sustainable.  In order to utilization of coal post mining land can be cultivated by beef cattle.

Abstract

Ratoon paddy is one alternative that can be developed by farmers as the plant after the first rice harvest. Ratun rice is chicks of rice that grow back after the main rice was harvest. Utilization of ratoon paddy aims to increase the productivity of paddy for  a growing season. The giving of liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) can be improve the physical, chemical and biological of soil, help improve crop production, increase product quality of plants. LOF can provide the nutrient needs of the plants on land, because its liquid so if there is overcapacity of fertilizer on the ground then the plant  itselfwill be easy to regulate the absorption of fertilizer composition is needed. This  research aims at (i) to know how the giving of various concentrations of LOF to growth and yield of the ratoon paddy, (ii) to get the best concentrations of  LOF  to growth and yield of the ratoon paddy. This research was carried out in Wawai Village of Batang Alai Selatan District, Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency in March - June 2016, using Randomized Group Design (RGD), with 4 treatments and 6 repeat with 4 plants as the sample so that there are 96 plants were observed. The factors tested are  the concentration of the LOF there are p0 = without LOF, p1 = 3 mℓ / ℓ water, p2 = 6 mℓ / ℓ water, p3 = 9 mℓ / ℓ water. The results of this study show that treatment of the concentration LOF has very real influence for high plant at the age of 10, 20 and 30 Day After Spray Treatment (DAST), number of leaves at the age of  10, 20 and 30 DAST, number of chicks at the age of 10, 20 and 30 DAST, number of panicles, weight of grains, and number of grains. The best treatment is p3 with a concentration of 9 mℓ / ℓ water.
