Abstract

This study aims to describe and understand how community participation in the management of fish ponds in the Pahandut Sebrang sub-district, Palangka Raya City and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research is a descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research subjects were local fish pond community members. Methods of collecting data by observation, interviews and documentation, with data analysis techniques, used data reduction, display data and draw conclusions. Triangulation is done to explain the validity of the data. The results of the study show (1) Community participation in the management of fish ponds is quite high and is their main job. (2) The supporting factor for this business is the condition of the Kahayan river which is quite fast, which is very suitable for fish ponds. Besides that, the harvest is not difficult to sell because it is very close to the city center of Palangka Raya. While the inhibiting factor is the lack of public capital, so there is a need for a capital loan or investors to work together in the business.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss the relationship between education and law and its position in Indonesian society. The education situation in Indonesia is implemented and must be enforced appropriately in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. All teachers must understand that the concept or method of education is always evolving in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. The point is we have to understand, practice with the present context. Likewise, the law must be applied in the present context. In everyday life, humans must walk, not stop, turn left and right, sometimes backwards, but must continue to advance in achieving what they want by paying attention to their surroundings, one of which is paying attention to related matters. for education and law. Epistemologically, axiologically and ontologically what is meant by education? What is the legal basis for education in Indonesia? How is the relationship between education and law in an effort to increase teacher competence?

Abstract

This research is motivated by the thematic learning outcomes of students in grade IV SDN Dahian Tunggal, most of whom have not reached the KKM, there are still students who find it difficult to understand thematic material. Many students are still less active in participating in learning activities, there is less variety of learning models that teachers apply so that student learning outcomes are less than optimal. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of examples non examples learning model on student learning outcomes. The type of research used is True Experimental Design using a pre-test post-test control group design model. This research was conducted in class IV-A as an experimental class with a total of 28 students and IV-B as a control class with a total of 22 students. From the results of the data analysis, it was obtained that tcount was 2,509 and ttable was 1,677 with a significant level of 5% and dk (n1+n2-2). This shows that there is an influence of the learning model on the learning outcomes of the "uniqueness of the area where I live" sub-theme.

Abstract

The objectives of this study were: (i) to find out more about the implementation of the principal managerial competence at SMP Negeri 1 Palangkaraya: (i) planning, (ii) organizing, (iii) implementation, (iv) supervision, (v) to determine the factors supporters and inhibitors of the implementation of principal managerial competence in SMP Negeri 1 Palangkaraya. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach and a type of case study. The data collection technique is done by interview, observation, and documentation study.The results showed that (i) the principal in planning was in accordance with the planning concept and strategy (ii) the principal had organized the school in accordance with the organizing function which included the arrangement of the organizational structure of the division of labor and the placement of teachers and staff according to their respective areas of expertise. -Each. (iii) the principal in carrying out the implementation function has not been implemented properly where there are three indicators that need to be improved, namely: (a) managing school / madrasah facilities and infrastructure in order to optimize utilization, this is because there are still many facilities and infrastructure has not been fulfilled and the recording of facilities and infrastructure has not been well managed, (b) managing school / madrasah and community relationships in the context of seeking support, ideas, learning resources, and school funding, (c) managing school / madrasah administration in support of achieving goals school. (vi) the principal in carrying out supervision is appropriate, namely through monitoring the planning process, and implementing learning, then conducting evaluation and follow-up. (v) Supporting factors consisting of internal factors, the ability to lead and the personality of the principal. While external factors include the support of school residents, government, supervisors, school committees and alumni, the inhibiting factors consist of internal factors, which affect the limited funds for facilities and infrastructure, lack of administrative staff, external factors are lack of parental participation, especially the problem of funds since the program began. free education.

Abstract

This study is about gammatical errors in student’s writing of the simple present tense. This research was conducted at the University of PGRI Palangka Raya, especially for the first semester students of non-English study programs. The research process begins by making observations among students in applying the basic concepts of the simple present tense in daily activities. Before analyzing the research, the researcher conducted observations and written test on students. In observation, the researcher found that more than 50% of students could not understand the basic concepts of the simple present tense well. They often make some grammatical mistakes. The topic of this research is chosen based on the researcher's experience as an English teacher. Researcher often finds students' grammatical errors, especially in the simple present tense. The research objectives are formulated as follows: (1). To find out the types of grammatical errors made by the students in making simple present tense sentences (2).To find out the causes of grammatical errors made by the students. This study is qualitative research. The data collection technique is by doing written test. To collect the data, students are asked to write down their daily activities in English. After that, the data is analyzed. In this written test, there are 30 out of 40 students (75%) who can write simple present tense sentences correctly, somo other student still make errors gramatically. Errors that are mostly made by students are Omission errors, Addition Errors, Formation Errors, and ordering Errors. The causes of grammatical errors in student’s Writing are the first is Overgeneralization defined as a use of a grammar pattern strategy, available for use in new situations, and the second is Ignorance of rules restrictions include intralingual errors related to analogies.

Abstract

The essence of independent learning is the freedom of teachers and students in the learning process. This freedom has not been experienced by teachers and students so far because teachers are more involved in the administration of education and learning. Teachers also do not understand the concept and its role in the policy of independent learning. The purpose of this study is to explain the concept and meaning of independent learning, the role of teachers in independent learning. The method used is the library method. Content analysis was used to analyze research data. The results of this study are (1) independent learning includes 4 policies, namely national standard school exams carried out by the school, minimum skill assessments and character surveys, simplification of lesson plans, zoning system for new student admissions; (2) the meaning of independent learning includes freedom of thought, freedom to innovate, independent and creative learning, freedom for happiness; (3) the role of teachers varies widely, including facilitators of independent learning, innovative and creative teachers, teachers with the characteristics of teachers, and driving teachers. Based on this explanation, this study concludes that understanding the meaning of independent learning and the role of teachers in independent learning helps teachers and students be more independent in thinking, more innovative and creative, and happy in learning activities. The six aspects of the Pancasila Student Profile must be owned by students and teachers in order to achieve the goal of Independent Learning. This is also the reason for the existence of the Motivating Teacher program because its establishment aims to fulfill these six aspects. The six aspects of the Pancasila Student Profile formulated by the Ministry of Education and Culture are: 1) Faithful, devoted to God Almighty and with Noble Morals, 2) Creative, 3) Mutual Cooperation, 4) Global Diversity, 5) Critical Reasoning, 6) Independent. A good teacher is a teacher with good performance but only in the classroom. They are able to improve student achievement, teach creatively and innovatively, and develop their own competence. Meanwhile, the role of the Motivating Teacher is not only limited to success in managing the class he or she is teaching. In addition to being a good teacher, a Motivating Teacher must also have the will to lead, innovate, and make changes. On this basis, Kejarcita is here to support teachers to become professional driving teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of post-pandemic face-to-face learning on science subjects in the new normal era based on learning outcomes and student attendance from four Junior High Schools (SMP) in the city of Palangka Raya. This research was conducted using a quantitative approach with a survey method. Quantitative research is research where the researcher is placed as a key instrument, data collection techniques are combined and data analysis is inductive. This research was conducted in four stages, namely: 1) research preparation stage, 2) research implementation stage, 3) data analysis stage, and 4) conclusion drawing stage. This study shows that post-pandemic face-to-face learning is effective. This is based on the percentage of student attendance which shows the level of student enthusiasm in participating in face-to-face learning after the pandemic is quite high with a percentage value of 80% to 100%. In addition, student learning outcomes also increased from before the implementation of face-to-face learning (online learning) and after the implementation of face-to-face learning after the pandemic, from an average value of 78.76 increased to 80.91 after the implementation of face-to-face learning. In addition, the percentage of students who scored above the KKM score (75) also increased from 77.5% to 86.25%.

Abstract

Education is not just an effort to improve students' skills and knowledge, but also to educate students' character. The facts show that there has been a moral and ethical decline in students from an early age. This is certainly a fundamental concern in education today. Education is not sufficient only in schools, but wherever it is necessary to carry out education in all aspects of students' lives. This text was prepared to examine the values ​​of life in the framework of character development and education, as well as various factors that influence the dynamics of implementing life values. This paper is a study that analyzes several events as evidence of the existence of complex issues surrounding the character of the nation's children. The study discusses the understanding of education outside of school as strengthening character education. This is inseparable from concerns about the low moral values ​​and character of students based on several studies. This study uses the library study method by collecting secondary data from various literature. The data is analyzed and compiled from the results of research on education that is appropriate for that. The results of the study show that education is the development and inheritance of values ​​originating from the outlook on life or ideology of the Indonesian nation, religion, culture, and the virtues formulated by the ancestors and predecessors of the nation which have become good habits and in line with the goals National Education. The role of out-of-school education in strengthening character education lies in the implementation of learning in the community and family environment.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student achievement in science subjects, especially material change objects through the application of the demonstration method at Tarusan Danum Elementary School, Tewang Sagalang Garing District, Katingan Regency. Based on internal observations, grade VI students have poor learning outcomes where the average value obtained before knowing this research is 57.083% and the percentage of students who achieve learning completeness standards is 50%. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted for two months using the demonstration method in an effort to improve the science learning achievement of sixth graders at SDN Tarusan Danum. This research was conducted through two cycles where each cycle consisted of two meetings through several stages, namely planning, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques were carried out using observations of each meeting by observers and learning outcomes from the value of students' exercises in each cycle. Based on research conducted for two cycles, the results obtained are, in the first cycle of 57.5% and in the second cycle of 70.5%.

Abstract

School Operational Assistance Fund (BOS) is a government program in the form of financial assistance that aims to provide non personnel funding for basic education units and secondary school as the implementation of compulsory education, the Regular BOS Fund is allocated to assist the operational expenditure needs of all students in primary and secondary education units. Method research is a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects included the school principal, treasurer and school committee. The data analysis technique used qualitative data analysis. The results showed that the management of the BOS Fund at SMP Negeri 15 Palangka Raya during the pandemi was managed properly in accordance with the Technical Guidelines for the use of the 2021 BOS Fund, the Covid-19 pandemi had an impact on the management of the use of the BOS Fund, where the BOS Fund was usedrelated to efforts to prevent the transmission of Covid-19, at SMP Negeri 15 Palangka Raya the BOS funds are used by schools to complete facilities and infrastructure to support learning activities during the pandemi, where SMP Negeri 15 Palangka Raya applies semi-online learning and also BOS funds are used to prepare supporting facilities and infrastructure Limited Face-to-face Learning.
