Abstract

The purpose of the research is: (1) describe the implementation of Student Centered Learning in Javanesse language learning at SMK N 3 Klaten; (2) describe the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of Student Centered Learning in Javanesse language learning at SMK N 3 Klaten. This research is an evaluative research with qualitative methods. The data of the research from the process of implementation Student Centered Learning and the data sources from teachers and students. The data collection technique by interview and questionnaires. Analysis techniques using data collection, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research results that the implementation of Student Centered Learning Javanesse language learning has used methods, models, media and learning resources in accordance with Student Centered Learning.The supporting factors in the the implementation of Student Centered Learning is Javanese language teacher. The roles played by the teacher include providing motivation and enthusiasm, providing incentives, and classroom conditioning that can increase the learning activity of students.

Abstract

The feasibility of the content and language of the Sundanese language textbook must be in accordance with the applicable curriculum, besides the content itself must be related with the core competencies of the learning. The purpose of this study was to determine the feasibility of content and appropriateness of the language in 2017 revised edition of Sundanese Gapura Basa textbook for SMP class VII. The research method used a qualitative method. The data in the form of words and sentences. The results showed that the appropriateness of the content and language of the Sundanese Gapura Basa textbook for class VII SMP was in accordance with the instruments set by the BSNP which included the suitability of the material and the curriculum and the applicable basic competencies, the accuracy of the material in the book, and supporting material used. The feasibility of the language includes communication, straightforwardness, coherence, conformity with the correct Sundanese language rules and the use of terms, pictures, or symbols according to the development of students. The results of the research also show that the Sundanese language textbook Gapura Basa SMP grade VII revised 2017 edition is feasible to use. by educators in the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the importance of inculcating the value of character education to students through Javanese literary works of geguritan. The purpose of this study is to describe the value of character education contained in the anthology of Lathi geguritan by Eko Wahyudi. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The data source in this study is the geguritan in the anthology of Lathi geguritan by Eko Wahyudi. The research data are in the form of words, phrases, clauses, sentences in geguritan which contain the value of character education. Data collection techniques using document analysis. Test the validity of the data using triangulation theory. The data analysis technique used is an interactive analysis technique using the Miles & Huberman model. The results of the study show that the values ​​of character education contained in the anthology of Lathi geguritan by Eko Wahyudi include: religiosity, sociality, gender, justice, democracy, honesty, independence, fighting power, responsibility, and respect for the environment. Through geguritan in the anthology of Lathi's geguritan, the author wants to convey a message or message to the reader to become a complete human being with strong noble character.

Abstract

Abstract There was no development of Javanese script learning media impacted with the less interesting and ineffective learning process so that students have difficulty in understanding Javanese script material. This study aimed to describe the students and teachers’ needs for Javanese script learning media, describe the prototype of the Javanese script Jenga media, and describe the results of the validation of media and material experts on the Javanese script Jenga media. The method of this study used Research and Development. Then, in collecting data this study used interview and questionnaire techniques. The data collected were analyzed using descriptive qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis techniques. Based on the results of this study, it can be seen that students and teachers need an interesting and effective learning media to help them easier in understanding Javanese script material. The prototype of the Javanese Script Jenga media consists of a media box, Javanese Script Jenga wooden block, cards and their boxs, dice, blackboard, markers, students’ guidebook, and teacher's manual handout with practice questions and answer keys. Based on the assessment result, Jenga Aksara Jawa media prototype obtained an assessment percentage of 80% from media experts and 77.6% from material experts. Expert validators also provided suggestions and input that can be received into consideration by researchers to improve the Javanese script Jenga media prototype shortcomings. Therefore, this Javanese script media is proper to be used as a learning media with improvements according to the suggestions.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the relationship between student learning styles and student learning outcomes in learning the Javanese language to write Javanese alphabet at SMP Darussalam Bergas. This research is a qualitative descriptive with 100 students of class VIII as the research subject. Data were collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Analysis of the data using the analytical model of Miles and Huberman. The research steps consist of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study concluded that the learning styles of class VIII students when learning to write Javanese alphabet were 48% visual, 32% auditory, and 205 kinesthetic. Students who score above the cut score are dominated by auditory learning style, while students who score below the cut score are dominated by visual learning styles. The results of observations of students who have a visual learning style prefer to see the visual appearance of Javanese characters on the blackboard rather than just listening to the teacher's explanation. Students with an auditory learning style cannot concentrate if the class is in a crowded atmosphere. While students with a kinesthetic learning style prefer learning that involves students directly, they also cannot linger just sitting quietly and listening to the teacher's explanation.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a product in the form of Javanese language learning media on the material of the Ramayana wayang story by analyzing the needs of students and teachers. This research is a Research and Development (R&D) study. The source of the data is from class IX junior high school students and teachers of Javanese language subjects at SMP Negeri 6 Ungaran. Data collection techniques used are observation techniques, interviews, and questionnaires. The data analysis technique in this study is a qualitative description. Based on a needs questionnaire that was distributed to 69 grade IX students of SMP Negeri 6 Ungaran who were randomly selected, it was found that 75% of students had difficulty understanding the material about the Ramayana wayang story. The availability of inadequate media is evidenced by the results of the student needs questionnaire which shows 69%, meaning that there is a need to develop interesting and varied learning media. It is known that 97% of students agree with the development of flash-based Sinau Crita Wayang Anoman Duta media with a scientific approach. The developed learning media has been validated by 85.29% media experts and 81.25% material experts. It was concluded that the SRIWAD learning media is appropriate for students to use as a complement to learning other than the student handbook.

Abstract

Radio play scripts can be used in Javanese language learning in junior high schools as a language teaching medium for students considering that play scripts are built by physical structures, namely language and inner structure which means semantics, thus causing the possibility of polysemy in speech making language learning for junior high school students considered sufficient. it is important to enlarge, especially research studies in Javanese directive utterances. This research is expected to contribute to increasing the study of the Javanese language and students can understand the implied meaning of utterances that are usually expressed by older people. The purpose of this study is to describe the form of directive utterances in radio play scripts in order to add to the study of the Javanese language. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using content analysis methods through a pragmatic approach to data sources for Mapan and Munthu Wijaya radio plays. The result of this research is an analysis of the forms of directive speech acts including Requestives, Questions, Requirements, Prohibitives, Permissives, Advisories of Mapan and Munthu Wijaya radio plays. Based on the research results of Mapan and Munthu Wijaya's radio plays, there are 43 data of directive speech acts that are relevant to the Javanese language learning materials, particularly for KD 4.3, Writing and Presenting Drama Text, which is present in Javanese language subject syllabus for 9th-grade students in Merdeka Curriculum It is hoped that teachers can be more varied in choosing teaching materials and this research can be developed by other researchers with broader studies.

Abstract

Students' low interest in learning Javanese alphabet makes their learning outcomes not optimal in Javanese language subjects, so interesting learning methods are needed to motivate and increase their learning interest. Jable Board is a scrabble-based Javanese alphabet board game. This medium is useful for preserving, reviving, and supporting the learning of the Javanese alphabet to make it easier to understand. Based on the product validation test, qualitative data were obtained in the form of sound response, button accuracy, and battery life, which were classified as good. Quantitative data is also obtained from teachers and generation Z questionnaires, which are very good, so this game is feasible to implement. The aim is to determine the effectiveness of Jable Board in improving student learning outcomes. The research was conducted using a quasi-experimental method with 36 students in class X-E1, SMAN 3 Sidoarjo. The results of a student questionnaire about Jable Board, which showed that it was able to increase interest in learning by 86%, increase pretest and posttest scores by 24.18%, and receive positive responses from the school, showed that Jable Board was able to attract interest in learning and motivate students to learn Javanese alphabet, which can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Indonesia is the largest archipelagic country, consisting of thousands of islands, which causes Indonesia to have various types of diversity, one of which is the diversity of languages. Javanese is the most widely used regional language as a daily communication language among Indonesians. The distinctive feature of this language is that it has Javanese script. The government has introduced the Javanese script through learning Javanese in every school. However, the interest and curiosity of students are still relatively low. Moreover, the learning media used are also limited. Learning media is an important component in achieving the success of an optimal learning process. As a result, learning media should be able to become an effective and efficient channel of learning information, allowing students to easily comprehend what they are learning. Jable Board is the result of the development of learning media in Javanese script in the form of a scrabble game using Javanese script. The method used is the research and development method (Research and Development, or R&D) using the 4-D (four D) research model. From the product validation results, two types of data were obtained: qualitative data in the form of voice response, button accuracy, and battery life, as well as quantitative data in the form of a product-related questionnaire to teachers

Abstract

Learning to write geguritan is one of the materials that are difficult for students to master. Limited diction, students' disinterest in learning literature, teachers who are less creative in learning, and students' difficulties in getting ideas are the main factors of student difficulties. Knowing these problems, the researchers are trying to improve students' skills in writing geguritan using the 3M learning method using short film media. The researcher used the penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) method with 32 students in class IX B, SMP Negeri Kroya, as the subject. PTK is carried out in two cycles, which produce data based on test and non-test instruments. The data analysis technique used is quantitative and qualitative. In the pre-cycle action, the average value is 73, this value is in the sufficient category. Cycle 1 increased the average score to 75 in the sufficient category, but there were still 17 students whose scores were below the KKM. Observation results in cycle 1 with the target teacher showing a score of 81, while student observations get a value of 80. The average value of cycle 2 is 85 with a good category, the observations show that the teacher's score obtained is 90 with a good predicate, while students get a score of 95 or a very good predicate. Increasing students' skills in writing geguritan brings positive changes. Students become more active in asking questions to the teacher, discussing with friends, and enthusiastic in participating in learning.
