Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of self-healing (healing touch) on reducing pain sensation for post-op patients at Tk II Kampar Regional Government Hospital, Bangkinang City. The method in this study used a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-postest design. The results of the bivariate analysis showed that there was a significant effect between self healing and pain scale in post op patients with p value <0.05. In conclusion, self-healing is used as one of the non-medicated methods to reduce the pain scale in post-op patients. Keywords: Post Op Patients, Self Healing, Pain Scale

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to obtain a comparison of the effectiveness of the Buerger Allen Exercise and foot exercises on the value of the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) in patients with Type II Diabetes Mellitus. This research method is a quantitative method with a research design Quasi Experiment pre and post test two groups. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the value of the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI) before and after being given Buerger Allen Exercise and foot exercises, namely p <0.05 with the difference in the average difference in the increase in ABI values in the Buerger Allen Exercise group of 0.0820, while in the leg exercise group, the difference in the average increase in the ABI value was 0.0726. In conclusion, Buerger Allen exercise is more effective than leg exercises in increasing the value of the Ankle Brachial Index (ABI). Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of 1 minute hyperoxygenation on the suctioning process on oxygen saturation of patients with mechanical ventilators. Quasi experimental research design pre-post test with control group design. The results showed oxygen I saturation before median hyperoxygenation 97 min 95-99, after median hyperoxygenation 99 min 98-100 with p value 0.05. While in the intervention group II before median hyperoxygenation 97 min 95-100, after median hyperoxygenation 99 min 95-100, with p value 0.05. In conclusions there were significant differences in oxygen saturation before and after 1 minute hyperoxygenation administration. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of interactive video and image media on the ability to care for mentally retarded children at SKH Negeri 01 Serang Banten. This research is a quasy experimental design with a non equivalent without control group. The results showed that there was a difference in the average ability to care for mentally retarded children before and after being given interactive video intervention (p value = 0.015, ∆ = 6.67), there was a difference in the average ability to care for mentally retarded children before and after being given the intervention of media images. (p value = 0.006, ∆ = 3.23), and there is a difference in the average ability to care for mentally retarded children before and after being given interactive video and image media interventions (p value = 0.003, ∆ = 1.45). In conclusion, the use of interactive video interventions is more effective as a learning medium in improving the self-care ability of children with moderate mental retardation, but it must be supported by complete facilities and infrastructure. Abstract

This study aims to identify the effect of storytelling and guided imagery on changes in anxiety levels of preschool children who will be subjected to invasive action (infusion). The research design used was a quasi experiment. The results showed that the average level of anxiety of children who received storytelling intervention was 2.11 for the group of children who were accompanied by their parents and 2.50 for the group of children who were not accompanied by their parents. Meanwhile, the average level of anxiety of children with guided imagery intervention was 2.17 in the group of children accompanied by their parents and 2.33 in the group of children who were not accompanied by their parents. The results of statistical tests show that there is an effect of storytelling and guided imagery on reducing anxiety levels of preschool children who are subjected to invasive action (infusion). In conclusion, storytelling to preschool age groups accompanied by parents is more influential than to children who are not accompanied by their parents. Abstract

This study aims to determine the comparison of Tai Chi and DM exercises to reduce blood sugar levels in type II DM patients at Menjalin Health Center. The research design used was a Quasi experiment with a pre and post test group design approach. The results of the study using the Wilcoxon test in the Tai Chi group obtained the value of p = 0.000 <α = 0.05 and the results of the t-test paired sample test on diabetes mellitus exercise obtained p = 0.000 <α = 0.05. In conclusion, Tai Chi and DM exercises are equally influential in reducing blood sugar levels in type II diabetes mellitus patients, however, seen from the difference in decreasing blood sugar levels, Diabetes Mellitus exercise is more effective than Tai Chi exercise. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of foot exercise on the reduction of neuropathy scores and blood sugar levels in type 2 DM patients. This study used a quasi experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group design approach. The results of the study in the intervention group there was a significant decrease in neuropathy scores and blood sugar levels (p = 0.001). While in the control group there was no significant decrease in neuropathy scores (p = 0.069) and blood sugar levels (p = 0.184). Based on the results of the Mann-Withney test, it showed that there was a significant difference in decreasing neuropathy scores and blood sugar levels between the intervention group and the control group (p = 0.003; p = 0.042). In conclusion, patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who were given foot exercises experienced a decrease in neuropathy scores and blood sugar levels. Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Ramadan fasting on blood sugar levels in diabetics in Purwakarta City Health Center, West Java. The research design used a quasi-experimental pre and post test with control group. The results of this study using the T-Independent test of fasting differences in blood sugar levels after Ramadan fasting in the control group and the intervention group obtained p value = 0.039 <α = 0.05. This means that the results of this study indicate the effect of Ramadan fasting on blood sugar levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus at Puskesmas Kota Purwakarta. In conclusion, carrying out fasting in the month of Ramadan can be used as an alternative diet method that has positive benefits if it is carried out by people with type II diabetes mellitus, which can lower blood sugar to make it more stable.
