<![CDATA[Use of language continues to evolve in accordance with the domain and the development is in line with the progress of time. The same thing with the use of language in public spaces in the city of Medan needs to be examined because the language is already disturbing the public. This study was conducted in accordance with the principal task of the Agency and the Center for English Language North Sumatra. This research was conducted with the survey and descriptive method to obtain factual data. This research technique using the technique of shooting and recording data. This study shows the data of concern about the use of language in public space field that includes the language and the use of foreign languages on (1) the nameplate government and private institutions, (2) a shopping center, (3) venue, (4) residential compound and (5) advertising and fabric ranges.]]>

This, theoritical concept used in this research is focusing on Claude Levi Strauss theory to discurs how Sampuren Putih and Gua Kemang Structures. Gua Kemang located Uruk rambutan known as Sembahe. <![CDATA[Dahlan Iskan, usually called DI, determined the suspect by the Jakarta High Court in the case of PLN substation and electric cars. DI as an opportunity to direct the owner of Jawa Pos Group in the news related to him. Or it could be without being directed, by itself Jawa Pos down the news that defending DI. This study aims to describe the structure of the text, discourse practice, and ideology news Jawa Pos. This study uses descriptive qualitative critical discourse analysis approach Fairclough models. This research data in the form of documents. Data source document that is news in www.jawapos.com. Based on textual analysis (micro analysis), analysis of discourse practice and socio-cultural dimensions of practice (macro) indicates that Jawa Pos forming diverse ideologies: DI innocent; DI measures taken as a breakthrough over the various problems facing the nation; DI policy conducted entirely in the interests of society; DI own wealth so it is not possible corruption; Errors that occur a former subordinate fault DI; DI being a knight to take over responsibility.]]>

<![CDATA[Language teaching in schools, both the Indonesian and regional languages, will always rests on the issue of the selection of materials as a matter of teaching languages, the languages that are considered standard. Standardization of language teaching materials would not only involve the standardization of the language itself, but also concerning standardization linguistic aspects of the language. For the determination of the standard language of the language, must be examined scientifically and to deliberate determination standard language that involves various stakeholders. In addition, certain variants determination as a representation that material must be preceded by a comprehensive study on the number of variants, the number of speakers, as well as the geographical distribution area (mapping language) from the use of these variants. Starting from the above reasoning, the study of the Java language mapping is helpful in determining the Java language teaching materials as local content material. It aims to solve the problem of language diversity, linguistic aspects, and other aspects that are given to students as teaching materials. The benefits derived from the study of the Java language is at least contained practical benefits for teaching the Java language, which reduce the gap in the Java language teaching in the province of Central Java. All regions have similar views, policies, and implementation of the Java language teaching, which in turn will achieve the level of success of language teaching balance among regions exist.]]>

<![CDATA[Standardization of topographical names has been set up through Pepres No. 112/ 2006 and Permendagri No. 39/2008. The naming, naming both themselves and the naming of topographical strongly associated with language, culture and local history. The UN requires that the naming of topographical using local languages. Langkat consists of 23 districts with 272 villages. Based on the number of villages, researchers analyzed with reference to the naming of topographical topographical naming guidelines. The important thing is set in toponymy is the standardization of the procedure of writing the name of the geographical element. By default, the name of the geographical element consists of two parts: a generic name and a specific name. Among the 272 names of villages were analyzed only 68 (25%) village right under the guidelines of the standardization of topographical. Geographic elements and specific elements, there were 83 (30.51%) villages that use generic element names relating to geographic elements. 63 (23.16%) village by the name of the specific elements related to the adjective. 29 name of the village that use specific element with a direction of the wind and others. 12 name of the village that use specific elements of a good number are writing, numbers, and letters. The use of language, found writing the name of the village that does not refer to the guidelines for the standardization of topographical, geographical element should be written as a series with generic elements.]]>

Para peneliti baru-baru ini telah mulai mengeksplorasi hubungan antara membaca dan menuli. Penelitian membaca-menulis koneksi sebagai isu yang menarik dalam bahasa Inggris untuk Keperluan Khusus ESP) akan tepat waktu karena mungkin menawarkan wawasan ke dalam transfer antar keterampilan reseptif dan produktif. <![CDATA[This study aims to describe the function of speech-language autistic children based on gender in school Bina Mandiri Autism Palembang and patterns of acquisition of language function is based on the types of language function developed by Halliday. The method used in this research is descriptive method. In analyzing the data used methods match those basic techniques that pragmatic aggregated power engineering and advanced engineering that appeal circuit techniques to discern. The subjects were two students Bina Mandiri Autism Palembang namely Sekar Alifia Salsabil and Jovian. The results showed that the two research subjects do not have the ability to earn a seventh language functions as proposed by Halliday. Informative function is a function of the dominant use of children with autism while the non-dominant function is the function of heuristic and imaginative function. Each function of the language used by research subjects have characteristics that mark it. Distinctive characteristics include verbal and nonverbal characteristics. When compared to the proposed acquisition of language function Halliday, the results of this study indicate that not all patterns of language acquisition functions proposed by Halliday met. In addition, new patterns are found on the instrumental function that is specific demand patterns arising from initiation are divided into normal initiation and initiation explanatory.]]>

<![CDATA[Malay culture is regarded as a globalized culture. Folklore is part of Malay culture. Langkat Malay community must understand and feel has a wealth of literary folklore mainly so that their lives are not uprooted from their own culture. Langkat Malay community has a very rich cultural potential, one of which is folklore. Folklore contains noble cultural values and local wisdom that can make its owner into a modern society that is characterized by Indonesia. To unravel this case used qualitative methods to the theory of narrative structure and functional. The results showed that the structure of gender relations, men dominate women and one brave woman story rights. Then the local wisdom that can be taken is to be fair, thoughtful, honest, caring for the environment, and responsible can make life better. Especially this attitude must be owned by a leader.]]>
