Abstract

Abstract The stigma that occurs in society against people with HIV and AIDS has an impact on sufferers to stigmatize themselves (Self Stigma). Negative self-acceptance which causes a decrease in self-esteem and self-efficacy so that it affects the individual's belief to be able to recover. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of counseling on self-stigma of patients with the Lawrence green theory approach. The research design was a pretest-posttest control group design with a sample size of 40 respondents selected by purposive sampling technique. The instrument used is a questionnaire. Counseling treatment of respondents using the module. The statistical tests used were paired t-test and independent t-test. The test results showed that the treatment group was 0.000 and the control group was 0.104. Correlation coefficient 0.600. The independent t test value of 0.001 means that there is a difference in the average number of self-stigma in the treatment group and the average in the control group after counseling. Counseling with Lawrence Green's theoretical approach can reduce self-stigma so that HIV/AIDS patients think positively about themselves, do not withdraw from the environment and are willing to behave in therapy for their own healing. Keywords: self stigma, HIV/AIDS, counseling, lawrence green

Abstract

Abstract                Diabetes mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease whose prevalence continues to increase. One of the chronic complications of type II diabetes mellitus is hyperglycemia which tends to progress to diabetic ulcers which are preceded by decreased sensitivity in the feet, due to impaired perfusion and peripheral neuropathy. Range of Motion (ROM) exercises to reduce blood sugar circulation, prevent nerve damage, increase blood circulation and improve foot sensitivity, have not been widely practiced by patients with type II diabetes. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the range of motion diabetic exercise on the level of foot sensitivity using 10 gram monofilament in type II DM. The population is type II DM patients in the Peterongan Public Health Center, Jombang Regency. Sampling in this study using purposive sampling. Respondents in this study were 80 respondents. Data collection was carried out before and after treatment, namely the range of motion diabetic execise using a 10 gram monofilament foot sensitivity examination. Based on the results of the study, the measurement of foot sensitivity before treatment was obtained by more than some respondents (65%) with the category of no foot sensitivity, while the foot sensitivity after treatment was obtained by more than some respondents in the normal category, namely 48 respondents (60%). Based on data analysis, there is a difference in the level of foot sensitivity of patients with type II DM between the pretest and posttest, as indicated by the results of the Mann-Whitney test, namely p = 0.000. Regular range of motion diabetic exercise can improve lower extremity blood circulation, increase foot sensitivity and flex the peripheral nervous system, thereby reducing the risk of diabetic foot ulcers in type II DM patients. Keywords: range of motion diabetic, foot sensitivity, diabetes mellitus

A sample of 40 people. The research variable consisted of the independent variable, namely health education, demonstration method using a questionnaire and the dependent variable, namely the implementation of handwashing for the patient waiting by using a questionnaire. Furthermore, the analysis was tested using the wilcoxon statistical test with = 0.05. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of handwashing of patient attendants in the treatment group was almost entirely good, 31 respondents (77.5%), the implementation of handwashing of patient attendants in the half control group was sufficient, as many as 20 respondents (50%). Abstract

Pain during labor is basically caused by strong contractions during labor and it is a natural thing. Every woman has a different pain. Pain can occur due to other physical or physiological factors or it can also arise due to emotions or feelings in the woman. This is because of the negative suggestion factor that enters the subconscious mind, where the subconscious mind cannot distinguish between reality and imagination. The tension and fear felt by the mother cause pain during labor, thus slowing the delivery process. Labor pain can be controlled by 2 methods, namely pharmacological and non-pharmacological. Pharmacological pain relief methods are pain relief methods using chemical drugs, while non-pharmacological methods are natural pain relief methods without using chemical drugs by performing relaxation techniques, which are external actions that affect the individual's internal response. against pain. Pain management with relaxation measures include muscle relaxation, deep breathing, massage, meditation and behavior. This literature study uses the method of collecting data from systematic search/tracking studies of computerized databases (Pubmed, BMC, Cochrain review and Google Scholar), in the form of research journals and review articles. Breathing relaxation technique is a technique that is a pain relief technique that provides the greatest input because relaxation techniques in labor can prevent excessive errors after childbirth. The relaxation of breathing during labor can maintain the components of the sympathetic nervous system in a state of hemostasis so that there is no increase in blood supply, reduce anxiety and fear so that the mother can adapt to pain during labor.
