Mitra Ash-Sibyan adalah jurnal di Program Studi Pendidikan Islam Anak Usia Dini STAI Auliaurrasyidin Tembilahan yang mencakup bidang pendidikan dan konseling. Jurnal Mitra Ash-Sibyan ini diharapkan mampu menjadi wadah bagi dosen, guru, dan praktisi pendidikan untuk menerbitkan tulisan ilmiah. Abstract

Academic supervision of the principal is an activity of coaching, observing, and assessing teacher performance in the teaching and learning process. This study aims to determine the academic supervision activities carried out by the principal of Al-Himmah Muara Tebo Kindergarten (TK) in improving the quality of teaching teachers. This research uses a qualitative approach involving the principal and 3 teachers. Data were collected through observation and interviews. The data were analyzed descriptively, that is, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that supervision has been carried out one to two times a year, and has been met the regulations. It improves the quality of teacher competencies, performance, and skills – which is seen in terms of learning processes and outcomes.

Abstract

One of the cognitive abilities of early childhood (AUD) is symbolic thinking, which includes the ability to know, mention, and use the concept of numbers. The cognitive abilities of students of RA Sabilil Huda Sanglar, Reteh have not developed optimally. This study aims at improving students’ cognitive abilities through flashcard media. It is a Class Action Research (CAR), which was carried out in group B RA Sabilil Huda Sanglar, Reteh. This was designed for two cycles, where each cycle consisted of three meetings (two meetings for treatment, and one meeting for tests). Data were collected using observations, tests, and field notes. They were then subsequently analyzed descriptively. Based on the data, it is known that students’ cognitive abilities are at an average of 36.25 (45.31%) with the Start to Develop (SD) category in the pre-cycle, 56 (70%) with the Very Well Developed (VWD) category in the cycle I, and 75.6 (94%) with the Very Well Developed (VWD) category in the cycle II. Thus, the use of flashcard media can improve the cognitive abilities of group B students of RA Sabilil Huda Sanglar, Reteh.

Abstract

The ability to recognize numbers is the ability to recognize the concept of numbers and number symbols that become the basis for mastering mathematical concepts. The facts reveal that the ability of most children to recognize numbers is still weak and tends not to develop optimally. It is seen that children do not know numbers correctly. This study aims to find out the ability of group B students of PAUD Nasyithatun Nisa Teluk Kiambang in recognizing numbers before and after using puzzles number. This belonged to the Class Action Research (CAR), with 12 subjects. Data was collected through tests, observations, and field notes; and analyzed descriptively. The findings stated that children’s ability to recognize numbers were at 36.66% (pre-cycle), 58.32% (cycle I), and 86.66% (cycle II). Thus, these confirm that the media of puzzles number can improve children’s ability to recognize numbers. In addition, the enthusiasm of the children increases and the learning atmosphere is more fun.

Abstract

The convenient process of teaching and learning are things that teachers should consider to get maximum results. This study aims at knowing the feasibility of quranic puzzles to improve early childhood memorization skills. It is a Research and Development (R&D) that adopts the Borg and Gall model. This was conducted on 8 students of group B of PAUD Sabilal Muhtadin Tembilahan Hulu. Data was collected by using questionnaires, interviews, observations, and documentation. The data was then analyzed by using statistics with Likert scale measurements. The findings revealed that the average assessment of a) media experts were at 85.7% (Very Feasible), b) material experts were at 94.2% (Very Feasible), c) class teachers were at 83.9% (Very Feasible); and the results of pre-test tests (41.74%) and posttests (80.35%) of product development increased by 38.61%. Thus, quranic puzzles are feasible for improving the memorization ability of group B students of PAUD Sabilal Muhtadin Tembilahan Hulu Indragiri Hilir Riau.
