Abstract

The building fire can be a serious problem that could Interfere economic stability. Firefighters often have problems in handling if they are in the building there is fog or smoke. Therefore, the presence of this monitoring system is expected to present the data in the form of temperature information in the fire zone to help them. This study starts from the collection of materials and equipment, hardware design stage in the form of a wheeled robot while the design of the software comprising a transmitter section is a microcontroller program and the interface program as a receiver. The research result mobile robot can move properly with the remote control within a distance of 20 m. Video on this robot can be displayed in realtime within a distance +15 m of the screen Because the raspberry pi 3 has a coverage area that is not so far away as well as a temperature sensor capable of measuring a very good accuracy in the range of 250C-500CDOI : 10.29408/jit.v1i2.904

Abstract

East Lombok is one of the existing districts in West Nusa Tenggara Province that is able to produce handicrafts that are in great demand by tourists visiting the island of Lombok. One of the handicrafts produced in East Lombok Regency is Woven and Pottery. Woven fabrics and pottery produced by people in East Lombok regency, no less good than those in other areas. However, because of the development of the era, not many of the younger generation who want to continue and maintain the sustainability of this Weaving and Pottery. The time and effort required to make this type of craft is not small, where to manufacture 1 woven fabric alone can spend up to 1 week, and also for making 1 pottery can take days with long process. It is also what makes the price of woven cloth and pottery become more expensive compared with other types of crafts. Another problem that occurs is the marketing of handicrafts of woven fabrics and pottery is still difficult to do, given the location of the craftsman is still somewhat distant from the hustle of the city but also the limitations of the surrounding community about the utilization of information technology is still very lacking, so the craftsmen choose to market their products elsewhere . To overcome these problems, in this case to help introduce and market the woven and earthenware, needed a system that can know the details of location and information quickly and accurately, which in this research utilizing Geographic Information System (GIS) technology that can analyze and monitor the location quickly. Application of Geographic Information System Technology (GIS) aims to overcome the problems faced by pegerajin especially in terms of marketing and also to further introduce and preserve the craft of Weaving and Pottery so that it can increase the potential of handicrafts in East Lombok regency.DOI : 10.29408/jit.v1i2.882

Abstract

Prototype of irrigation-based sluice control devices for Android and wireless networks has a long-term goal, namely how in the future there is an application or tool that is able to assist irrigation water distribution officers in controlling the floodgates remotely, so it is expected that with the help of these tools or technology officers can work faster and more efficient.In this study the manufacturing stage is divided into two, namely the manufacture of hardware and software making where the research starts from the collection of materials and tools, then the manufacturing stage is the design of tools in the form of sluice controllers and software design consists of two parts, namely in the control section which is a program android and on the receiver and executor section which is a microcontroller program. The next step is the assembly or making of a tool, the sluice controller. After the android and the floodgates controllers are finished, the testing phase will be carried out, which is to test whether the tools work as expected if there is an error to be evaluated so that later the tools will be made as expected, namely Android-based irrigation gates and wireless networksDOI : 10.29408/jit.v1i2.905

Abstract

The solution in the process of completing numerical methods, especially "Non-Linear Equation Solutions", is determined by several criteria including: 1. Solutions will be obtained if tolerance found from the calculation results is numerically smaller or equal to the specified tolerance, depending on the criteria of the problem. 2. The solution will be obtained if the function value f (xn + 1) reaches zero (0). 3. The solution will be obtained if the xn + 1 value has a constant value (no changes). In several observations of non-liner equations, which are done manually, students cannot do it perfectly. This is due to the level of understanding of teaching materials or modules and algorithms used to experience difficulties, especially for several iterations in order to obtain the expected results. From the results of calculations that are done manually, using Microsoft Excel and using numerical applications that are made using the C # programming language, the results are found, among others: manual calculation of non-linear equations to get one of the roots of non-linear functions tends to be resolved in a short time so that the error rate and accuracy cannot be measured, Calculations made using Microsoft Excel, obtained an error rate of 0.158% and an accuracy rate of 99.842%. Calculations made using numerical applications using the C # programming language obtained an error rate of 0.004% and an accuracy rate of 99.996%DOI : 10.29408/jit.v1i2.901

Abstract

Not in the future, Sasak, an ancient manuscript on palm-leaf media from the island of Lombok, experienced quality degradation over time, which worsened the readability of the manuscript. This study explores a combination of denoising and binarization techniques for manuscript image processing with the aim of helping improve future script readability. The experimental results show that the readability level can be improved by different denoising and binarization techniques for different front conditions. The binarization simple thresholding technique and the gaussian adaptive technique are found to generally have the best performance compared to other techniques.DOI : 10.29408/jit.v1i2.902

Abstract

Human face recognition (human face recognition) is a major branch in the field of biometric verification in addition to the introduction of eye retina, fingerprints and signature patterns and its application has been widely used in various network security system applications, door control systems, to the benefit of attendance recording system. The current study aims to utilize facial recognition techniques as data input for information systems that record the presence of lecturers at the Hamzanwadi University Faculty of Engineering. The technology base for developing the system support software is OpenCV and the Java programming language. This research was conducted with the design-science for IS research method that emphasizes the build and evaluate cycles. The build phase will be carried out using object-oriented rules while the evaluate stage is carried out by adopting the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) framework.DOI : 10.29408/jit.v1i2.903
