Abstract

Unit Infomasi dan Layanan Sosial (UILS) is a place for those of us who experience mental/mental disabilities to gather, share, and carry out various activities in a comfortable and friendly atmosphere. The lack of fostered residents at UILS Meruya indicates that the Social Services Unit cannot play a leading role while having a big vision of the eradication of psychotic problems in DKI Jakarta Province in a decent, normative and humane life. Branding strategy is needed to increase public awareness of a brand. This research was conducted to determine the branding strategy owned by UILS Meruya. The research method used in this study was a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative descriptive method is a research procedure based on descriptive data, using analysis. The theoretical basis as a reference so that the focus of research by the facts in the field. The approach taken is by interview, observation, and literature study. Researchers, together with UILS Meruya stakeholders, have analyzed and formulated brand positioning, brand identity, and brand personality from UILS Meruya.

Abstract

To face the development of industry 4.0, learning facilities in school or college require a change. Facilities as infrastructure in school have a significant role in creating a way of life and work until the innovation of connectivity and creativity necessary for the Industry 4.0 era. As said by Aeji in Robert (2007) that 'facilities have to be adequate and should be in good condition for schools to function properly.' However, in fact, until now, learning facilities in Indonesia has not been concerns properly. The Indonesian education system is like the 19th century, Teachers are like the 20th century, and students are like 21st century'. (MENDIKBUD, 2014-2015). Therefore, require is needed to compensating technological advances in this era, where all human activity involves digital technology-based Cyber-Physical System (data dan cloud computing). The purpose of design is to design learning facilities with a technological approach to create integrity study space-based on technology industry 4.0. As well as Polytechnic STTT Bandung, the only collage government is under the ministry of industry, become objects of design.

Abstract

This research discusses about the equipment supporting the firefighters in carrying out the flames beginning, as we know many supporting equipment used by firefighters, but not all of them are used in the process of extinguishing the beginning there was some equipment that is usually used as personal protective equipment and fire extinguisher the following operational motors as a means of transport, described here in used fire extinguisher effectiveness of the design is capable of supporting the officer where it is considered in terms of ergonomic whether it has been quite effective in its use. Due to the heavy load on lightly fire extinguisher is not enough then there will be a lot of raises new problems will be face it by officers in carrying out the flames. Abstract

Hypnosis Mic (Hypmic) is an IP developed by King Records, Japan. This is a collaborative project between hip-hop musicians and seiyuu (voice actors). They create 18 mic controller (MC) characters, which are voiceacted by the seiyuu. They perform songs created by rappers, and these songs are launched as music albums and music videos. These MCs are designed using 2D Japanese manga-anime style to attract potential listeners to the new hip-hop genre. There are many elements that contributed toHypmic IP making itfamous as it is now, especially in the character design. Because of the large number of characters that play a role in it, making the design of characters in different from one another becomes very important in order to be accepted by the audience.Mounsey mentioned holistic elements in creating a character that is loved, namely: the story behind the character, the nature of the character, audience and design of the character itself. Its expected that with this research will open up insights on the use of IP character designs with appropriate elements in order to become a reference in making IPs that are in accordance with the interests of the audience, to get more economic benefits in any field.

Abstract

The success of developing new products is a prerequisite for companies to remain competitive in a market that is always demanding. The design concept with the term Flat-pack became very popular and inspired the design of other products, especially product design in small industries or artisans in Indonesia. Research on producing products that have successfully applied this design concept is very much needed to review and discuss the product details of the holeless level 5 Masterspace Rak as a product that will be a case study of how the design process and success in applying the Flat-pack design concept, with the basic principles of knockdown and RTA Ready theory To Assemble. The method that will be used to achieve the objectives of this research is the Basic Theory Method. In carrying out this method, it will be sought where phenomena can be said to be core phenomena that can be taken and formed into a theory. It is hoped that through this research, the results can be applied to the planning of craft innovative products by small craftsmen while still being able to compete globally.

Abstract

Banana tree trunk waste is considered as wasted material rather than being used as a material with high economic value. whereas the banana tree trunk waste is a material that is easily found in the community or villages, so it does not rule out the possibility of utilizing this banana trunk waste as head material. This study aims to try to find more value from banana tree trunk waste to be used as a head accessory, by utilizing banana tree trunk waste as material, the head accessories that will be made are brooch patches, headpieces, bandanas, and hats. The study was conducted to determine the production process of the utilization of banana tree trunk waste for the head accessories. The method used is the method of observation to the banana tree stem midrib to find out the production process from the beginning to become a product, this production process uses weaving technique. The product that will be produced in the process of producing banana tree trunk waste is in the form of head accessories, namely brooch patch, headpiece, bandana, and hat. The results of research on the production process of banana tree trunk waste can reduce waste and can become a renewable resource into the utilization of banana tree trunk waste. The resulting product can be ahead of the accessory product and increase the economic and aesthetic value and function of the waste.

Abstract

   In addition to school textbooks, children's storybooks can also be a source of additional knowledge for children. From children's storybooks, the information in the form of knowledge and moral messages can be conveyed. Certainly, the role of visuals such as illustrations also plays an important role in conveying the message. This analysis was made aiming to understand and study the designs used in children's biology-themed science books especially in the field of illustration. The method used in this research is: Reviewing theories about design and illustration. Observing one of the children's storybooks on the theme of bacterial biology and other children's storybooks as a comparison.  Interviewing several experts in the field of illustration children's storybook. The desired result of this research is to understand things about the illustration design used in children's storybooks in Indonesia.

Abstract

Activities inside the bathroom have already been a part of human activities every day. Because of that bathroom became one of the most visited places. From the function point of view, a bathroom is a place to cleaning ourselves self (clean up), so the most crucial requirement for the bathroom is to serve clean and freshwater. Regarding its function as a place to cleaning ourself, room arrangement needs to be associated with bathroom need. Inside a bathroom, there is a need for space for human movements, such as to rub the body, pour, and dry ourselves. So, to design a qualified bathroom, have to be concerned about all the needs, then the excellent bathroom can be developed and useful for everyone.

Abstract

Indonesia is famous for its cultural diversity starting from the diversity of tribes, languages, religions, and others. One of the ethnic groups in Indonesia is the Betawi ethnic group, which is an Indonesian ethnic group whose residents generally live in Jakarta. The Betawi tribe is a descendant tribe of residents who lived in Batavia since the 17th century. One of the cultures owned by the Betawi tribe is ondel-ondel, where ondel-ondel consists of 2 giant dolls in red and white that make one of the cultural icons owned by the Betawi tribe. Ondel-ondel at this time is easy to find around us or in the capital city of Jakarta, we often see ondel-ondel walking around the street accompanied by music that is surrounded by several people as driving music carts and there are also those who hold a container to get a purse coffe rupiah. Given this, some people assume that the cultural value of the Betawi people has decreased, the use of the method used is a qualitative method. The desired results can determine the right media for the ondel-ondel art preservation campaign as well as knowledge to the public about the importance of ondel-ondel art.

Abstract

Indonesia has a lot of secondhand clothing sales places, one of them is at the Cimol Gedebage Market in Bandung. Some factors are the presence of secondhand clothing because it does not pass QC (Quality control). One type of secondhand clothing is a white shirt and dress because it is easy to get dirty and easy to get stains on clothes that make clothes not in demand again. Therefore Exploration is used to determine the appropriate technique to be applied to white clothing on shirts and dresses that will be reprocessed by redesigning and adding elements with surface textile design and patchwork techniques inspired by Balinese poleng fabric that has an archipelago culture. From this research, hopefully, it can change the mindset of the people in secondhand clothing as clothes that are not suitable for use to be suitable for use.
