Abstract

The purpose of this research is to answer how the Greek Hellenistic philosophical tradition can develop into the Islamic world. This research is a descriptive-analytic study of historical data (historical-ontological study). So this research has the conclusion that: Hellenistic philosophical tradition can develop in the world of Islam due to the wide expansion in the areas around Arabia that Islam did, including: during the S}a>h}a>bah era where they found the Alexandria library in Egypt, the Umayyads who tended to use the works - Ancient Greek works of practical science, such as medicine and astronomy. It was only during the time of the Abbasids that there was a massive translation of almost all ancient Greek works, especially philosophy. It was at that time that the Hellenistic philosophical tradition in the Islamic world stood at its peak.

Abstract

Children in the concept of Islam are blessing and gift from Allah; yet, not every couple is given this blessing. In addition, Islam also imparts that children are mandate from Allah, and then parents are suggested to guide, train and educate them. It is expected that children becomehuman being who are pious and spiritual in order to be reliable person for society, the nation, religion and the State. Furthermore, children are seen as the successor of the older generation in continuing the religious struggle in general, preaching and education in particular. Therefore, Islam obliges parents to give a good name, teach about faiths, worships and morals. Young children, a child who is between one to six years old, according to the concept of Islamic education, the development of the hidden abilities of the child through education known as early childhood education. The implementationof early childhood educationis expected to develop the potential in the physical, intelligence, social emotional, language and communication fields whose curriculum is adjusted to the development of the child's potential and endeavored so that children can learn while playing. This paper concludes that early childhood education has an important role because it will greatly influence the development of further educational abilities that the child will achieve.

Abstract

John is one of the figures who tries to after a system with the aim of improving the quality of the education process and covering the short coming of the world of education,namely educational democracy. John Dewey emphasired the importance of realizing a democracie school. In this regard the author tries to analyze the concept of educational democracy raised by John Dewey and its relevance to early childhood education. This type of research is literature research the method of data analysis in this study is description analysis. In this study it was found that the concept the John Dewey is relevant to the condition of early chilhood. Where children need dyrect experience with the learning by doing method. Whit is focused on student activity. Criticism of the concept John Dewey education still ignores the natula of faith in every student. Where as in the early chilhood stage this character education is needed to strengthen and take care of nature and as a routed foundation through positive imagination and love inthe family and the imediate environment.

Abstract

H.O.S Tjokroaminoto is often known as a national teacher among the nation's founders (Founding Father), born on August 16, 1882 to be precise in Bakur village, Sawahan, Madiun. Tjokro is a very egalitarian figure to his fellow man. He was one of the many Muslim leaders of his era who participated in fighting for the interests of the Muslims, who at that time were shackled by the existence of freedom by Dutch colonialism. So repressive that it covers all aspects of the life of the indigenous people. He is the leader of SI (Sarekat Islam). Sarekat Islam is a mass organization that was born in the early twentieth century. The birth of SI also could not be separated from the interference of K.H Samanhoedi. At first this organization was called SDI (Sarekat Dagang Islam) which was only oriented towards trade competition.

Abstract

Teaching and learning activities are a process in order to achieve learning objectives. Teaching is the teacher's effort to create conditions or regulate the environment in such a way that there is interaction between students, teachers and their environment. In the teaching and learning process, a teacher is never the same in delivering the subject matter. In the teaching and learning process, the class meeting model is a very important foundation to be applied so that students can understand the lessons being taught. The teaching and learning process like this causes students to be more motivated to learn more actively in class and will get better learning outcomes. We often encounter this when the teacher is explaining lessons, especially Islamic Education.

Abstract

This research is a qualitative study which aimed to explore the intrinsik motivation owed by students of Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Ma`arif Magetan on on-line learning during this pandemic. Data were collected through interview which involving six respondents consist of two lecturers and four students. This research conducted by descriptive method and literature study. The research result stated that the intrinsik motivation of the students in the lower grade hadn’t showed off yet. That’s because of the feeling to increase their competence to be better than before is still absence from their mind. Another reason that occurs in the research is the student’s lower need to upgrade the knowledge only because they didn’t need it. The research results can be considered as a way to get the solution in increasing student’s intrinsik motivation in joining the classroom during the new normal era, also for the lecturer to find the better method and media in teaching learning processes.

Abstract

‘Pondok Pesantren’ (Islamic boarding schools) are educational institutions with various and different education system.Therefore, it remains a concern to researches. The ‘Al Fatah’ - Temboro is one of the Islamic boarding schoolsthat is considered different from the majority of Islamic boarding schools. It is because of the Pesantren's affiliation to the “Jama'ah Tabligh” Da'wah movement. This study discusses the Education System in Pondok Pesantren ‘Al Fatah’, Temboro. In sum, this qualitative research concludes that although Pondok Pesantren ‘Al Fatah’, Temboro has an affiliation to the “Jama'ah Tabligh” Da'wah movement, this Pesantren has the same curriculum and learning methods as other Pesantren in general, especially those affiliated with ‘NU’ (Nahdlatul Ulama); however, the Muhasabah learning method is applied in this Pesantren.

Abstract

In carrying out the educational process, an educator must pay attention to the ethics of the educator with full awareness and responsibility. Imam al-Nawawi is one of the Islamic thinkers who pays attention to the importance of ethics for an educator. One of his thoughts on ethics is outlined in his book entitled Majmu 'Syarh Al-Muhadhdhab. In history, the book is actually a book of Fiqh which is used as a reference for scholars', but at the beginning of the book it is explained about the ethics of educators. The formulations in this study are: (1) How is the ethics of educators towards oneself in Islamic education according to Imam al-Nawawi ?, (2) How is the ethics of educators towards students in Islamic education according to Imam al-Nawawi ?, (3) What is the ethics of educators towards knowledge in Islamic education according to al-Nawawi? (4) How is the relevance of ethics of educators in Islamic education according to Imam al-Nawawi in the book Majmu 'Syarh Al-Muhadhdhab with the code of ethics of teachers in education ?. This research uses a qualitative descriptive analysis approach and the type of research is library research, with documentary techniques. The data analysis is content analysis. The conclusions of this study are (1) the ethics of educators according to Imam al-Nawawi is divided into three, namely: the ethics of educators towards themselves, towards students, and towards science, (2) the ethical thoughts of educators according to Imam al-Nawawi are relevant to the Law No. 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers.

Abstract

Menghasilkan peserta didik yang berkualitas tidak bias dipisahkan dari pusat pendidikan yang kita kenal dengan istilah tri pusat pendidikan; yakni pendidikan rumah, pendidikan sekolah, dan pendidikan lingkungan (masyarakat). Ketiga sentral pendidikan tersebut harus saling berkaitan karena sulit kiranya untuk menghasilkan peserta didik yang erkualitas tanpa mengindahkan ketiga pusat pendidikan.Namun dari ketiga pusat pendidikan tersebut pendidikan rumahlah yang lebih memberikan astsar terhadap perkembangan peserta didik.Dalam istilah agama Islam kegiatan mengasuh anak disebut dengan hadhanah.Hadhanah merupakan suatu bentuk kasih saying Allah terhadap hamba-hambaNya yaitu dengan jalan mengasuh anak-anak yang terlahirkan dari rahim ibu.Karena pengasuhan anak juga merupakan satu manifestasi dari berbagai bentuk kemuliaan yang diberikan Allah kepada manusia yang menjadi makhluk yang paling mulia dan merupakan karunia-Nya atas manusia dibanding terhadap makhluk lainnya.Artikel ini berjudul “Hadhanah dalam Islam (Hak Pengasuhan Anak dalam Sektor Pendidikan Rumah)”.Tujuan dari penulisan ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana agama memberikan konsep dalam hal pengasuhan anak sehingga dengan demikian anak mendapatkan hak seutuhnya yakni mendapatkan pendidikan jasmani dan rohani dari orang tuanya.Metode kualitatif digunakan dalam penulisan artikel ini menggali konsep-konsep tentang pengasuhan anak.

Abstract

Recently, it takes people who have critical and creative character. Both characters can be develop through a process of education, including through language subjects. The critical and creative character of students can develop or be developed with a process of habituation, either through learning or exemplary they get naturally through what students see in their teachers. Likewise people learn language, what is gained through acquisition will make a lasting impression than what is gained through learning. The process of learning to read and write can be used as a means of developing student’s critical and creative thinking. Reading can be much help in developing critical thinking skills, and learning to write can be much help develop creative thinking abilities. However in teaching of writing, teachers should be exemplary in terms of writing, in the end, students writing creativity will develop faster. Therefore, it is not enough for the language teacher to convey the theory well, but also must be able to be a model as well as an example in producing good writing.
