Abstract

Learning is an urgent matters in the world of education, because it is something that is important and urgent that require immediate decisions and actions. This action research was conducted to obtain answers on issues related to learning affixation by using Discovery on the class of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 01 Ujan Mas Kepahiang District Bengkulu. The series of activities classroom action research was conducted in two cycles and sitiap cycle consists of: (l) action plan (2) action, (3) observation, and (4) reflection. Application of discovery learning methods in learning affixation ber-kan and ber - an in Class V SD Negeri 01 Ujan Mas can improve and enhance the activity of the learning process students having mastered the learning material showed an increase. This can be shown by the average result of the acquisition of 57 in the first cycle increased to 77 in the second cycle, from the observation of increased activity of students in the first cycle obtain the average - average 57% increased to 77%. Interviews conducted entirely student said he was happy and liked the discovery learning method. Based on the above results we can conclude that the working hypothesis that the author interchanges that if the affixation ber-kan and ber - an implemented by the method of discovery will require students to learn science with satisfactory results.Keywords: language skills, learning affixation, methods of discovery

Abstract

The purpose of this study to know the difference between the ability to write anecdotal text between the use of caricature drawing media using the meme media of students of class X SMAN 1 Bengkulu City. Methode of studi is kausal comparative. The data of this research is the result of writing ability of anecdot text of students of class X IPA 1 and X IPA 2 SMAN 1 Kota Bengkulu. Data were collected through an anecdotal student writing capability test written on a validated worksheet by the validator. Steps of data analysis: stage 1) performing the scoring, phase 2) performing the test analysis of the press, and stage 3) perform the hypothesis test. From the analysis results obtained the ability to write anecdotal text using caricature drawing media students of class X SMAN 1 Bengkulu City categorized well. This is seen from the average student score is an average score of 83,91. The ability to write anecdotal text using the medium of meme image of grade X SMAN1 students of Bengkulu City is categorized well. This dilaht from the average student score is an average score of 82,34. After t-test, it is found that there is significant difference between experiment group 1 and experiment group 2, that is t count 0,71 and t table 1,669 which means that t count > t table with level of trust 0,05, hence H0 accepted meaning That there is a significant not difference in the ability to write anecdotal text between using caricature drawing media by using the medium of meme image of grade X of SMAN 1 Bengkulu.Keywords: Writing, anecdotal text, caricature, meme

Abstract

The purpose of this study to describes about language politeness, violation of language politeness, language politeness strategy and the marker of language politeness of class VIII students’ at SMP Negeri 01 Bengkulu Utara. This research uses qualitative method. The sources of research data obtained based on the students’ conversation during the learning process, while the research data is recording students’ conversations in the classroom. Data analysis techniques through some stages; (1) Researchers make the recording during the learning process. Conversations recorded in the classroom, there is no limited to specific learning materials, but each learning process in the class room. (2) The researcher copy the recorded conversations into written form. (3) Transcribed data was grouped based on conversations between students-students and students-teachers. (4) The data analysis using the principles of politeness developed by Leech, namely maxim of wisdom, maxim of generosity, maxim of praise, maxim of consent, maxim of generosity and maxim of sympathy. (5) The research conclusions are based on data that has been processed or analyzed. Based on the results of the research (1) The fulfillment of SMPN 01 Bengkulu Utara's language companionship based on Leech's theory found six maxims of politeness in the learning process: maxim of wisdom, maxim of generosity, maxim of praise, maxim of humility, maxim of consent and maxim of sympathy. (2) Violations of students' language politeness are found in maxim of praise, while the other five maxims are not found in violation of politeness. (3) Positive language politeness strategy consists of: giving promise and giving approval. Negative politeness strategies consist of: Demonstrating pessimism, minimizing coercion, asking for forgiveness and impersonal use, and (4) The language modesty markers in the findings of this study are: linguistic markers of politeness and committers.Keywords:politeness, strategy, bookmark, student

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know the result of research part and article discussion of postgraduate students of education in Indonesian language. The analyzed data is work sheet of students of education in Indonesian language in result article of thesis research.  The data resoursh is gained by document taking of scientific article in study Program. The finding of the research are; the ability of writing scientific article writing in research result and discussion of postgraduate student of Pneidikan bahasa infonesia is in very good level with average 88,6. The scoring in each step is, (1) moves-1 (information of research) has qualification 95,5%, (2)Moves-2 (statement of result) has qualification 100 %, (3) Moves-3 (statement of unexpected research result ) has qualification 83,3%, (4) Moves-4 (using of reference of previous research) has qualification 86,7%, (5) Moves-5 (statement of reseach result) has qualification 100 %, (6) Moves-6 (illustration to support result of research) has qualification 87,5%, (7) Moves-7 (writer interpretation towards research finding) has qualification 79,2%, (8) Moves-8 ( writer suggestion as practice implementation of research finding) has qualification 62,5%. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the ability to read quickly with the method of eye movement of students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program semester 1 class A. Method used in this research is PTK conducted in 2 cycles and each cycle is held in 2 meetings. Each cycle is implemented in 4 stages, namely planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results showed that the ability to read quickly can be improved by the method of eye movement. This is evident from the results of early tests that indicate the ability to read quickly students of Indonesian Language and Literature Study Program semester 1 Class A there is only 50 kpm. Based on the results of the final test conducted it turns out to increase the ability to read quickly on students. There are 5 texts tested to measure students' fast reading ability, that is text 1 shows there are 22 students reaching KEM above 320 kpm or about 68.75%, in text 2 of 6 or 18.75%, in text 3 there as many as 31 people or 96.9%, text 4 as many as 15 people or 46.9%, and text 5 as many as 12 people or about 37.5%. Text types and text topics determine students' fast reading ability.Keywords: Improvement, Ability, Quick Reading

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to find out the text of rhetoric on: (1) structure of editorial text of Kompas newspaper of January 2017 edition (2) word choice (diction) in editorial in Kompas newspaper January 2017 edition and, (3) language style in editorial Kompas daily newspaper January 2017 edition. This research method is descriptive method with qualitative approach. The source of research data in the form of a newspaper compass edition januari 2017. While the data in the form of editorial text in Kompas daily newspaper edition of January 2017 amounted to 25 texts editorial. Data analysis uses text structure theory and word choice according to Bolivar and style of language according to Koesworo. The results show that (1) the editorial rhetoric text on the text structure of Kompas newspaper has five types of text structure variation. The five variations are SDR-SDR-SDR, SD-SDR-SDR, SDR-SDR-SD, SD-SDR-SD and SDR-SD-SD. This pattern variation is based on the location of the Triad position (S representative situation, D development representative, and R representative of the recommendations) contained in each editorial text. (2) Editor's choice of wording in Kompas newspaper, all 25 data use the word choice that has been grouped by Bolivar, ie the form of the word adverb, the word modality and the lexical word form. In general, the more widely used group of word choices is the lexical word in the noun. And (3) editorial style language in Kompas newspaper, all 25 data have suggestive language style, analytical logic and literary. In general, the more widely used language style is the analytical logical language style which is the style of the form of a form of thinking created by the author for the reader to consider the author's opinion on the issues discussed so that the reader will gain a logical reason from the reader's own mind.Keywords: Text, Rhetoric, and Editorial

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan guru bahasa Indonesia dalam menulis teks untuk siswa kelas VII SMP, mencakup 5 jenis teks, yakni teks laporan hasil observasi, teks tanggapan deskripsi, teks eksposisi, teks eksplanasi, dan teks cerita pendek. Metode penelitian yang digunakan, yakni metode deskriptif kuantitatif sederhana. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes menulis teks. Sumber data penelitian diambil pada 10 orang guru bahasa Indonesia yang mengajar siswa kelas VII SMPN di kota Curup. Analisis data menggunakan rumus rerata persentase. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kemampuan guru bahasa Indonesia dalam menulis teks untuk siswa kelas VII SMP mencapai rerata sebesar 77,45% berkategori baik. Secara khusus, berdasarkan jenis teks yang dibuat guru bahwa kemampuan menulis teks (1) laporan hasil observasi mencapai tingkat kemampuan sebesar 73,8% ketegori baik, (2) teks tanggapan deskripsi sebesar 75% termasuk kategori baik, (3) teks eksposisi mencapai sebesar 83% kategori sangat baik, (4) teks eksplanasi sebesar 68,8% kategori cukup, dan (5) teks cerita pendek sebesar 87% kategori sangat baik. Saran, untuk guru bahasa Indonesia di SMPN kota Curup, bahwa kemampuan menulis teks perlu terus ditingkatkan khususnya terkait semua jenis teks agar dapat diimplementasikan dalam proses pembelajaran secara lebih baik.Kata Kunci: Kemampuan, Guru, Menulis, Teks

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui kemampuan menulis naskah drama berdasarkan cerita rakyat Rejang di kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 4 Rejang Lebong. Metode penelitian ini adalah penelitian analisis deskriftif kuantitatif untuk mengetahui kemampuan menulis naskah drama berdasrakan cerita rakyat rejang pada siswa kelas XI IPA SMAN 4 Rejang Lebong Bengkulu. Subjek penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah kelas XI IPA. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA. Sampel yang digunakan adalah random sampling, instrumen penelitian yang digunakan berupa hasil tes siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan menulis naskah drama berdasarkan cerita rakyat Rejang. Hasil penelitian dapat dikemukakan berdasarkan hasil analisis data yang telah dilakukan, menunjukan bahwa kemampuan menulis naskah drama berdasarkan cerita rakyat Rejang di kelas XI IPA SMAN 4 Rejang Lebong berkategori baik. Abstract

This preliminary study is intended to describe the distribution of languages of ethnic groups in Bengkulu Province. This research is based on geographic linguistics in the province of Bengkulu. The basic vocabulary instrument is 300 (Swadesh and Kern) and 150 cultural vocabularies. Data collection is carried out at a number of observed villlages proportionally. Data analysis was performed with lexicostatistics and dialectometry. The results show the following. With the exception of Enggano and the languages of ethnic immigrants, the Rejang, Lembak, Serawai, Pasemah, and Mukomuko languages are related to each other. The differences between these ethnic languages are mostly at the level of vowel sounds /a/, /o/ or /aw /, /é/ and /ê/, diphthong, nasal clusters such as /mp/, /nt/, /nc/, and /ngk/ on the one hand and /p/, /t/, /c/, /k/ on the other. Rejang language has 4 dialects, that are Lebong, Musi, Keban Agung and Pesisir. The distribution of Rejang ethnic languages covers Lebong District, part of Rejang Lebong, parts of Kepahiang, parts of Bengkulu Utara, and parts of Bengkulu Tengah Regency, while Mukomuko ethnic language distribution covers some areas of Mukomuko Regency. The spread of Lembak language covers Padang Ulak Tanding and Padang sub-districts in Rejang Lebong, and in some villages in Bengkulu and Bengkulu  Tengah Regency. Serawai language has distribution in  of Seluma and Bengkulu Selatan Regencies, in addition to some villages in Kepahiang Regency. Pasemah ethnic language has distribution in some areas of Kabupaten Kaur. The Lembak, Serawai, and Pasemah languages are used in the written tradition of the Ulu script. Some specimens of Ulu Lembak, Serawai, and Pasemah texts are preserved as family heirlooms or village heirlooms in the area of the ethnic language in question.Keywords: linguistics geography, ethnic language, Bengkulu

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe (1) the ability of student in XI IPA 4 SMAN 1Arga Makmur in 2016/2017 academic year in writing explanation text by using mind mapping technology, (2) the ability to write an explanation text by using a conventional technique in XI IPA 6 SMAN 1 Arga Makmur in 2016/2017 academic year, and (3) the difference of writing ability by using a mind mapping technology and conventional technology on students in XI IPA 4 and XI IPA 6 SMAN 1 ArgaMakmur. The technology of this research was a comparative causal with technique quantitative approach. The data of this research was the explanation text made by students in XI IPA 4 and XI IPA 6 SMAN 1 ArgaMakmur. The data was collected by conducting a writing test on student by writing explanation text based on instrument which has been validated by experts. The technique analysis of student writing ability was done by: 1) writing assessment, 2) prerequisit test, and 3) hypothesis test. The result of writing ability on explanation text by using mind mapping in XI IPA 4 was verry good with the average score was 83.While on the conventional class the average score of student in XI IPA 6 was only 76. The result of t-test hypothesist test was there is a significant different between the ability on student by using mind mapping technology and conventional technology. It showed by tcount > ttable which is, 7.59>1,68 with ? = 0,05. In care the conclution is Ho was rejected and H? was in accepted, so there is a significant different in ability on writing an explanation text by using a mind mapping technology an conventional technology.Keyword: Writing, Mind Mapping, Conventional, ExplanationText
