Abstract

This study aims to improve the ability of teachers to manage classes through modeling techniques at SD Muhammadiyah wonokromo II. The type of research conducted is school action research (SAR) using a model from Elliot. The study was held at Muhammadiyah Elementary School Wonokromo II Pleret Bantul in the 2017/2018 academic year 2. The research subjects were teachers of class 1, 2, 3, 4, and Islamic Education teachers. The object of research is class management competence. Data is collected through observation and documentation and analyzed qualitatively. Teacher competency in the field of classroom management before there was an action was 72% after the action in the first cycle reached 76% so that it increased by 4%. After there was an action in the second cycle the competence of teachers in the classroom management reached 87% so that it experienced a 12% increase.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student achievement and response material in the three-variable linear equation system by applying the Group Investigation Learning Model to the 10th grade Mathematics and Natural Sciences students of SMA Negeri 1 Banguntapan Bantul in the 2019/2020 Academic Year. The research process begins with an observation method conducted by researchers, observers and research subjects. The data collection was carried out in two stages, namely the results of the odd semester 2019/2020 midterm assessment data as preliminary data, and the final data on the results of the daily assessment after the action was taken. This study used an observation sheet for the implementation of the learning process, a questionnaire and a test question sheet. The number of subjects in this study were 36 students. Action research with the Group Investigation model lasted for 2 cycles with 2 times each of each cycle and one assessment. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis methods in the form of numerical data and qualitative descriptions of observational data that need to be analyzed simply to describe the facts that occur. The results showed the Group Investigation learning model can be applied well and an increase in student achievement and response from cycle 1 and cycle 2.

Abstract

This research was aimed to improve learning achievement and learning activeness of class VII on the Classification of Living Things by apllying of the quartet-card game method and knowing the students' responses to the application of the quartet-card game method. The research was Classroom Action Research (CAR). This research was conducted in 2 cycles and each cycle had 2 meetings. The research subjects were 7C class students of SMP N 1 Semin Gunungkidul. The results of this research indicates that learning by applying the quartet-card game method of the Classification of Living Things can improve learning achievement and student learning activeness. Learning achievement is shown by increasing the percentage of mastery learning. In the pre-cycle is 6.25% with a very low category, the first cycle is 68.75% with a moderate category and the second cycle is 84.375% with a high category. Learning activeness showed an increase in average score, i.e. the first cycle was 64% with the medium category and the second cycle to 87.5% with the high category. Student responses showed 100% of students were happy with the application of the quartet-card game method.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' critical thinking skills SMAN 1 Bambanglipuro by applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model to Chemistry Subjects. This research is a classroom action research (CAR) carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, implementing actions, observing, and reflecting. The research subjects were students of class XI MIPA 3 of SMAN 1 Bambanglipuro in the academic year 2019/2020. Techniques used in collecting data include observation, tests, and documentation. Analysis of the data used includes the presentation of data and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model in Chemistry Subjects can improve students' critical thinking skills. The observations of critical thinking skills in cycle I were 57.58% and cycle II were 78.79% and test results critical thinking skills in the first cycle of 45.45%, the second cycle of 87.88%. The conclusion of this research is Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model can improve critical thinking skills on Thermochemistry material for students of Class XI MIPA 3 SMAN 1 Bambanglipuro.

Abstract

The purpose of research is to determine the implementation of our Cooperative Learning model of the STAD type in the learning Geography and to know influence this STAD type to process and results of geography learning in the class XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Banguntapan school year 2018/2019. The type of research used is classroom action research. The subject of research is class student XI IPS 3 SMA Negeri 1 Banguntapan Bantul school year 2018/2019 amounted to 26 people. The research measures include planning, implementation, observation and reflection, implemented in 2 cycles. The learning of geography with STAD type is implemented by dividing students in 6 groups heterogeneous to discuss the tasks given to each group. Results of group discussions are noted for group presentation purposes. At the end of the requestor are given an individually performed quiz, the value is combined into a group score. The group that gets the highest points increase will earn rewards. The training STAD type can to collaborate in the learning process, there is the process of peer tutor, this enhances the learning process of students Klas XI IPS 3 from 91.30% (pertinent) in cycle I, to 96.00% (pertinent) in cycle II. This type can also improve the results of geography learning, evidenced by the increase of quiz result group points results from 5.68 points in cycle I to 8.27 points in cycle II, also occurs improvement of the submission Study originally 71.92% in cycle I and 82.12% in cycle II.
