Abstract

               Limitations stock chicken ( Gallus domesticus ) is a common cause of the farmers failed to hatch , so many farmers prefer to sell their eggs from the hatchery is not optimal . This study aims to provide information to farmers Gallus domesticus about the effect of the order of ovulation and ovum size on hatchability ova Gallus domesticus . This is true experimental research , the technique of random sampling or simple random sampling .               The data used in this study is the observation data hatchability of chicken Gallus domesticus ovum at the beginning of ovulation ,  ovulation mid (start up before the end of the second ovulation) , late ovulation and subsequent ovulation (ovulation during the female parental already brood) , as well as the size of the ovum which consists of a length and width , of each parental females . In this study, there are three variables X and one Y variable , ie X1 (order of ovulation ) , X2 ( length ovum ) , X3 ( width ova ) and factor Y is Y1 ( hatchability of ovum ) .               The data obtained from the study were analyzed by analysis of variance ( ANOVA ) oneway and Pearson correlation test using SPSS v16 . From the research on two replications showed that : no effect on hatchability ovulation sequence , there is the influence of the size of the ovum is the length and width of the hatchability of chicken Gallus domesticus ovum . And there is no correlation with the size of the order of ovulation ovum to hatchability of chicken Gallus domesticus ovum .Keywords : Gallus domesticus , ovulation , ovum size , hatchability

Abstract

The Liquid smoke is the dipersion of the Smoke in the air as the result of distillation or biomass pyrolysis of Cocos nucifera. This research was to know the effectiveness of Liquid smoke of Cocos nucifera to the growth of E. coli. The research was done in Microbiology Laboratory of the Medical Faculty of Jember University. This research is laboratorist experimental with used CRD (Completely Randomized design) with 3 times repetition. The data analysis used SPSS version 11 with Anova and Duncan. This research use some concentration, there are is 12,5%, 25%, 50%, and 100%, positiv control (klorin), and negatif control (aquades). The result of experiment by using Anova, it was kwon that Liquid smoke of in the concentration 12,5%, 25%, 50%, and 100%, to E. Colihave significance value is 0,00 (P<0,05), so every treatment has different result significantly. Whereas, the Duncan analysis showed 100% significantly different with another concentration, including positive and negative control. The 50% concentration has significant different with the 12,5% concentration, and the 25% concentration also has different result with K+ and K-. Whereas K+, K-, and 12,5% has didn’t different.That result proved that Liquid smoke can resist the growth of E. Coli.Key Word :Escherichia coli, Liquid Smoke.

Abstract

The research aims to produce the integrated instructional kitfor natural science based on guided inquiryand sets learning approachesin order to be able to increase science psychomotor process andstudents’cognitive learning result. This research uses 4D model development research design from Thiagarajan, that is limited only to the ‘develop’ level. The instructional kitdeveloped are validated by the expert in the instructional kit, the expert in the subject, the science teacher, and then practically tested to the students of class VIII of SMPN 2 Jember at 2013/2014. The validation test results from all validators show that theintegrated instructional kitfor natural science based on guided inquiry and sets learning approacheshas categorized sufficiently valid. The practical test results show that the integrated instructional kit for natural science based on guided inquiryand sets is effectively used on learning process because it is able to increase the science psychomotor process and students’cognitive learning result.Keywords: developing instructional kit, guided inquiry and sets learning approaches, science psychomotor process, students’ cognitive learning result.

Abstract

An experiment that was aimed to determine the best formula of NPK compound fertilizer on paddy rice (Oryza sativa L.) production has been conducted from June till September 2008 at farmland of Jember Lor, District of Jember. The experiment was based on Randomized Complete Block Designed with three NPK formula treatments and three replicates. Each experiment plot was 300 m2, ie in row of 30 m x 10 m. The NPK formula were P1 (200:75:75), P2 (150:100:100), and P3 (250:50:50) kg/ha of Urea:SP-36:KCl respectively. The result shown that formula of 250:50:50 resulting the best grain production and significantly different to others.Keywords: Ciherang variety, NPK formula, paddy rice

Abstract

Teaching activity is an activity attempts to create an atmosphere that encourages initiative, motivation and responsibility of the students to always apply the full potential in building ideas through lifelong learning activities. The experiment was conducted in SDN Wonosari 02 with descriptive qualitative and quantitative approaches. The subjects were students in grade 5 with methods of media images. The results showed that the use of media images in science can improve student achievement, both have high achievement motivation and the motivation of low underachievement. Utilization of media images in science  makes learning more effective and efficient, and fun. The use of diverse media that will give students the chance to learn more thoroughly.Keywords : learning outcomes, media images, science

Abstract

To achieve the goal of learning science, the science teacher demanded more creative, initiatives, and innovative in finding the source of learning for the learners. Environment around us can be an attractive alternative learning resources. In the environmental management materials science subjects junior class VII, one of the local potential that can be raised as a source of student learning is waste processing know.The aim of research to determine whether the use of waste as a source of know can potentially learn science in environmental management material. This study is exploratory research. Data analysis techniques in this study using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. Research activities include collecting data, analyzing the data, the data meginterprestasi, and ends with a conclusion that refers to analyzing the data with the analysis of the suitability of the terms of learning resources.Results of this study indicate that the use of waste as a source of know can potentially learn science in environmental management material in the form of process and product research. The process of observation in the form of scientific work of making out and identification of waste, while the utilization of waste products in the form know that the manufacture of food products nuggets of tofu and Nata de Soya from wastewater out an effort to address environmental pollution.Keywords: waste , learning resources , environment, and science

Abstract

This research is a classroom action research on Performance Improvement Learning Physics Learning Model Using Mind Mapping. This study was conducted in SMA Jatiroto. Subyek study were all students of class XII IPA 1 were 26 students consisting of 8 male students and 18 female students. Characteristics class research subjects are students in this class mostly tend to be quiet, still less open in issuing his opinion. The method used in this research is classroom action research (PTK). Each cycle includes: planning (plan), (2) action (action), (3) observation (observation) and (4) reflection (reflection).The activities of teachers has increased from the first cycle or worth 78.4 3.92 to 4.25 of the classification be Good Enough. Increased activity of students from the first cycle to the second cycle ie from 2.99 into 4.04. Study results of students also increased, namely the minimum value of 50 to 60 students, the maximum value of 90 to 100 and average value of 71.3 to 80.4. Completeness showed an increase that is from who completed a total of 14 to 22. Mastery Learning in classical shows an increase of 54% to 85%.The conclusions that can be drawn after research and analysis, namely: (1) Improve student activity and (2) Improving student learning outcomes. The suggestions are taken: (1) To the teachers of Physics in order to design a strategy to be more innovative concept maps, and trying to implement them in teaching Physics and (2) For the next researcher is able to review the other, such as motivation, characteristic ways of thinking and others.Keywords : Mind Mapping , activities, achievement
