The variables in this study consisted of independent variables Motivation (X1) and work discipline (X2), and Performance dependent variables (Y). The sample in this study was obtained by survey research. To obtain and collect information from respondents using a questionnaire (structured questionnaire) that is structured according to needs. The method of data analysis uses descriptive statistical analysis. The individual characteristics of the respondents included gender, age, education level and work period. Statistical analysis uses inferential statistics using multiple regression models. To find out the relationship between variables used a correlation coefficient, while to find out the effect used a partial test (t test) and a simultaneous test (F test). From the results of the descriptive statistical analysis on the characteristics of the respondents obtained the percentage of sex: male (93%) and female (7%), percentage of age: less then 31 years (46%), 31 to 35 years (33%), 36 to 40 years (13%), 41 to 45 years (8%). Percentage of education level: High School (88%), D3 (8%), S1 (4%). Percentage of service: 6 to 7 years (14%), 3-5 years (20%), less then 2 (66%). From the results of the regression analysis, Y increased by 0.397 for each additional per unit variable X1, and Y increased by 0.089 for each addition per unit of variable X2. The effect of variables X1, X2 on Y on the partial test (t test) is on the variable X1 t count = 0.001  less then α = 0.05 then there is an influence between motivation on performance. At X2 t count = 0.504 less then α = 0.05 then there is a significant effect of motivation and work discipline variables on performance.

Abstract

The trend of market developments or consumers in utilizing technology as part of their lifestyle, encourages the accommodation industry to make innovations related to technology and the internet. The purpose of this study is to see the relationship between online distribution channels, especially OTAs on hotel performance in terms of income. This study found that OTA was very effective in increasing sales at Dreamtel Hotel Jakarta, where the income originating from OTA for 3 years compared to walk-in guests had a significant difference. However, hotel sales through online travel agents still have problems when using an online booking system, including the delays in connection between the online travel agent system and hotel systems, the difficulty of changing the schedule for booking rooms, and booking based on "availability on availability" must be confirmed to the parties hotel. The limitation of this study is only studying the role of OTA on the income side. Future research is expected to be able to examine other, more complex sides, such as their effects on employee performance, brand image, promotion, and customer satisfaction. This research is expected to provide information related to the important role of OTA for the development of hotel business in the future. Keywords : Effectiveness, Online Travel Agent, online distribution channels (ODS), hotel revenue and Room Occupancy

Abstract

The development of the attraction of tourist destinations is synonymous with management. The aim is that destination visited by tourists one of which is the development of attraction. In order to have real implications, the development of tourist attraction must be community-based, this makes sense because by the increase in attractiveness and by the increasing tourist visits it impacts on the economic, social and cultural community. This paper is based on the results of a survey conducted at Gesing Gunung Kidul Beach through exploration and observation methods on Gesing Beach tourist attraction and community involvement in it. Gesing Beach has natural attractions, cultural attractions and special interest tours that require management in order to increase tourist visit, but management is not yet fully based on the potential of the community due to the low level of education and public knowledge about tourism. Community involvement is limited to physical activities such as mutual assistance to repair roads, economic activities such as traditional food stalls. The cultural attractions that exist are only as annual routine activities for the remains of their ancestors. To further empower the community, it is necessary to synergize the three parties, namely the government, the private sector and the community itself, through the establishment of a network of cooperation, counseling, assistance, additional working capital. Addition to managerial insight in the tourism sector and the provision of working capital to fishermen, stall owners, organizations or community tourism groups. Keywords: Management of Tourist Attraction, Community Empowerment, Gesing Beach
