Abstract

Character education is education that emphasizes the formation of character values in students. The goal of character edocation is: (1)to develop student sosially, ethically and academically by infusing character development into every aspect of the school culture and curriculum, (2) to help students develop good character which includes knowing, caring about and acting upon core ethical values such as : respect, responsibility, honest, fairness, compassion. Pesantren contributed greatly to the character of education in Indonesia, because the values prevailing in the pesantren-containing cargo formation of character. Those values are respect, brotherhood, sincerity and simplicity, independence, the prohibition violates the rules, and exemplary. As the basis of character education, values in pesantren is also a positive impact on mental health.

Abstract

Pesantren was the representation of Islam education original Indonesia (indigenous) that now still exists and could maintain his existence in the middle of the global arena in the educational agency, Pesantrent previously was known with classic education apparently to be conservative, dirty and backward with education modern. It term that now be proper for must be reviewed. Studied about the social function of Pesantren was needed with weighed repeated the role and the dynamics of pesantren in the Indonesian community modern, where the dynamics of the modernity influenced the existence of pesantren fundamentally so as to result in the problem emergence of the cultural identity of pesantren. This problem could be regarded as the consequences and the logical implications when being connected with the modernity that had the obligation that influenced specially the social function and the culture that were provided a basis for on the religious obligation. The study in this article focused to the side of how far pesantren could as the Islam religious institution strengthen the tradition and made him the basis of the transformation in the modern era. In the capacity whether Pesantren could play social functions of the culture in the student's community in the middle of the modernity in the Indonesia community

Abstract

The discourse on Islamic education has always been an interesting study not only because of the education has distinctive features (characteristics) of its own, but also because of the rich Islamic education with the concept of educational thoughts were not inferior quality compared to modern educational concepts. We may encounter in the treasure of Islamic educational thought leaders with some clever ideas, creative and innovative in providing alternative unique nuances of Islamic education, which bridges the gap dichotomy of general science and the science of religion, especially in education at the school. They are able to be inspiration, contributors, even the executor of the dynamic development of Islamic education in Indonesia, especially in the world pesantren. Abstract

Through his Structure of Revolution, Thomas Kühn contributed a big movement, not only in the philosophy of science, but also in social as well as natural and religious sciences. This article is written to elaborate the epistemological aspects of Kühn’s philosophy from for keywords: paradigm, objectivity of science, scientific community and revolution of sciences. This research concludes that Kühn, responding Auguste Comte’s positivism and Popper’s Falsificasionarism, compelled a revolutionary development of science despite the linear-accumulative one. For him, knowledge is never objective (value-neutral) for its being from a particular consensus in a particular paradigm. Therefore, scientific method has to appropriate with the cycle of scientific revolution (normal science – anomalies – crisis - extraordinary science – revolution - normal science 2, etc.) In Kühn’s, truth does not depend totally on any method used to test it. It depends on acknowledgement of some subjectivities in a knowledge. Although sciences, for him, are not comparable, science in the last paradigm is more consistent, accurate, and useful. Kühn’s philosophy is relevant with current issues on Islamic studies, namely paradigm shifting of Islamic epistemology, membership of religious scholars community and paradigm of Islam’s Jumhur.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the therapeutic application in Inabah VII and Anak Bina's views on the therapeutic process in Inabah. This study specifically focuses on ethnographers working model using a phenomenological approach. The data is generated through in-depth interviews, participant observation, library research, documentation, and active listening. The results of this study indicate that, first, Anak Bina in Inabah VII are healed through several stages including mandi Taubat, prayer therapy, therapy TQN dzikir, fasting, khataman and manaqiban; second, Anak Bina have their own perspectives on the therapy they are experiencing. Generally, the views of Anak Bina to therapy Inabah can be divided into three stages: denial, acceptance and habituation.

Abstract

Charged film show prosocial behavior would provide a model for children's prosocial behavior. However, the film can also encourage prosocial to antisocial behavior when the children can not distinguish between acceptable behavior and behavior that is socially unacceptable socially. Discussion of the films have seen prosocial children will provide an understanding of the forms of prosocial behavior and behavior that is not socially acceptable, so that the child will be directed to perform prosocial behavior in everyday life. This study aims to examine the influence of the film show discussion prosocial prosocial behavior toward the child. The hypothesis is there is a discussion of the influence of the film show prosocial intentions to increase children's prosocial behavior. The subjects were taken as the criteria, ie fifth grade elementary school students aged between 10 to 12 years. Further selected 16 children were divided into 2 groups: the experimental group who received treatment and discussion of the film show prosocial control group were only treated prosocial movie viewing. The data collection method using child prosocial behavior intention scale were measured before and after treatment. Results of Wilcoxon signed rank test experimental group (sig = 0.0055) and the control group (sig = 0.416). While the test results of Mann Whitney test post-test score (sig = 0.0075). conclusions, discussion films have prosocial intentions can increase prosocial behavior of children.

Abstract

SMP Negeri 5 Ngawi efforts in creating religious culture in schools, especially religious awareness students have some program activities. This is done as a means of support in the realization of religious consciousness in students because the learning process of Islamic Religious Education class can not be expected to be optimal in creating religious awareness in students. Based on the above background, the issues to be addressed in this study is how the effort to create awareness of religious schools on the students of SMP Negeri 5 Ngawi. In this study the authors used a descriptive approach in which psychological researchers describe the circumstances in a holistic manner and then analyze it in the form of words in order to obtain the views as his world view. This study describes and analyzes the researcher an overview of the religious consciousness of students of SMP Negeri 5 Ngawi and the efforts made in creating awareness of religious schools on the students of SMP Negeri 5 Ngawi. Results of research conducted found that: first, the establishment of religious awareness in students of SMP Negeri 5 Ngawi is due to the synergy of integrated prorgam on religious activities conducted by the school. Second, the means to raise awareness in students of religion are closely related to the learning process among the Islamic Religious Education class, the school efforts in this regard is the concept of character education and learning methods against these problems in Islamic Education. Third, the realization of religious awareness in students of SMP Negeri 5 Ngawi is inseparable from the moral commitment of all components used to behave in a school based on religious values, one exemplary and disciplined attitude exemplified Principal Junior High School 5 Ngawi

Abstract

India - Pakistan became one of the great thinkers of Islam contributor. However , there is a big difference on the presence of Muslims in the two countries. This article was written to reveal the history of Islam and Islamic patterns in India and Pakistan as well as to the development of Islam in terms of aspects of science, socio-political and economic circumstances. It was concluded that the difference in the state of Muslims in the country are caused by two different state constitution . Muslims in India especially has experienced a series of setbacks of civilization, is inversely proportional to Pakistan which was established with the spirit of Islam and the Muslims prosper. However Pakistan which is predicted to be able to become an Islamic state monster, until now have not been able to counter India's economic and social terms.

Abstract

Humans have some excesses that other creatures do not have. By the excesses, humans try to understand and comprehend the messages from God through holly book (qauliyyah) or phenomena of the universe (kauniyyah). The involvement of humans in education is something that can not be avoided, because humans have importance to conserve and bequeath the values of their communities to the next generation and to transform the knowledge they have gotten and created. Related to the universe, the next education has to be able to admit the influence of the universe existence to the education it self. The universe must become framework or mindset in education. The universe is the right way to admit humans’ boundary in implementing their function as khalifah or servant of God. By introspecting to the universe, educated humans will not have negative characteristics because the universe has many verses of kauniyyah for humans. The universe is subject and also object in education that must be re-accommodated the existence. Not only looking at the universe from tight paradigm by watching closely the technically phenomena but also as the great cosmos covers and influences humans life.

Abstract

Historically, Islamic Education develops in line with the emergence of Islam itself. According to Harun Nasution, the development of Islamic history is divided into three periods, namely the classical period (650-1250 AD ), the middle period (1250-1800 AD ) and the modern period ( 1800 AD to present). Future classics, history of Islamic education is one of the fields of Islamic culture that is not widely known until now. This is due to the lack of original sources and incomplete writing material by the authors, both Muslims and non- Muslims. Almost all the authors attempt to illustrate that Islamic education as if it is a system which has been organized from primary to university level. This is a distorted picture of the rough and imposing stratification nomenclatur modern esistematik on a free and informal activities, where direct tidakberperan country until the advent of the madrasah. Kuttab as a learning system at the time of the Prophet than home Arqam ibn Arqam, has been known among the pre-Islamic Arabs. At first kuttab ( maktaab ) serves as a place providing writing and reading lessons for children, but when Islam began to grow, the lesson is emphasized in the Qur'an memorization method.
