Abstract

Mud crab was one of the fisheries commodities that havea high economic prospect and good market opportunity, local and export. Soft Laser technology could be achieved using He-Ne and Diode as biostirnulator for fattening, egg maturation stage and duration of mud crab. This research was application experimental that used to Factorial Complete Random Design with treatment laser with wavelength differences (632,8 nm and 635 nm) and Factor II: Control or no treatment, shooted in theeyestalk point (M) and shooted in reproduction point (R) with l O replication. The result of this study indicated that utilization soft laser influence growth and egg maturation stage and duration of mud crab. Treatment shooted laser He-Ne (LI) to produce growth and egg maturation stage and duration of mud crab was betterthan not shooted laser. Treatment shooted soft laser He-Ne (LI) at the eyestalk point to produce better growth as 1,8393 gram and egg maturation stage and duration of mud crab was highest, to produce 2 egg maturation stage of full stage as 4 crabs of9 crabs reached stadia two (LI) with duration of egg maturation means 9,88 ± 2, 15 days and control (1,2233 to growth and egg maruration stage reached 3 crabs to 2 full stage of 7 crabs with duration means 17,33±4,42days).

Abstract

Aedes aegypti have spread throughout every area in this country, with different density level, depends on the height of built houses area. The higher its area the lower density level it has. Aedes aegypti control still become a priority. This was done by applying a thermalfogging method by using the insecticide. Insecticides used (in minimum dosage) in the thermalfogging system which able to kill mosquitoes (up to 100%) are known as: Fendona 30EC dosage 150 ml/ha, Cynoff 25EC dosage 400 ml/ha, Malathion 96EC dosage 400 ml/ha, Icon 25EC dosage 50 ml/ha, resigen 1.5/1 O.OS dosage I00 ml/ha, Malathion 95EC dosage 400 ml/ha, Bistar 12.5 ULV dosage 400 ml/ha, Ciplus 50EC dosage 200 ml/ha, Bistar 25EC dosage I00 ml/ha, Perrnanet IOOEC dosage I 00 ml/ha, Deltacline 25EC dosage 80 ml/ha, Procon 25EC dosage 60 ml/ha, Vectron 95EC dosage 60 ml/ha, Vectron 95EC dosage 60 ml/ha, Seruni I OOEC dosage IO ml/ha. Abstract

This research had been designed using fiber to test different pellet feed on giant Bullfrog, Rana catesbeiana. The investigation aimed to evaluate pellet feed formulated with different fortifi• cation ofseaweed on the growth and metamorphosis ofgiant bullfrog tadpole. The seaweed was then added in to formulated diet with different dosage of 0.0; 5.0; I 0.0; 15.0% of the diet. The result pellet were given to tadpole as treatment with 3 replications for each treatment. All tadpole received 7-10 %bw/day ofration given twice each day. Every week biomass of the tadpole in each fiber was measured to estimate the growth and adjusting new ration offeed. The same time metamorphosis level V.'aS monitored. Water quality parameters measured were tem• perature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), and total NH4-N. The experiment lasted for 4 weeks (28 days). The result can be concluded that pellet added with extracted seaweed would result higher metamorphosis level but not for growth rate.

Abstract

Competence based curriculum entrust that leming process in the first and second class of elementarry' school applies thematic learning so the learning is more meaningful. This decision occurs from many problems faced by students of class one and two of elementary school that is the high number or broken off school The thematic learning more stressed to the student participation in the learning process actively. So that can be expected the result of student learning can be optimal. In the large boundaries this research through two large step ie, the development and implementation inthe field. For the development learning model thematic inthe elementary school that used acuan4- De define, design, develop, and disseminate. The method of collecting data that used is the given test To know the data. The student achievement, observe class through the process learning cover the activity ofteacher and student, the skill of teacher inthe manage oflearning process, and affectivity o flearning with the model oflearning thematic. The complete of result learning student before applied learning model thematic yet have not been completed more than 90%. The skill of teacher in the implementation learning get 3,8 activity stu• dent in the learning process get the score 3,7. '01e affectivitylearning with the learning thematic 3,9. The implementation model learning thematic inthe elementary school success in good condition. So 11 is advised to the teachers in the second class of elementary school implement learning thematic according to the requirement oflearning process.

Abstract

Banjamegara is one of the regency that developing of pink guava is potential. In connection with acceleration of increasing farmer's income, developing of pink guava must be supporting by manulcture di versification. One of them is processing pink guava into puree. The aimed ofassessment were to know the fanning system and the processing manufacture on pink guava commodity and to knowthe profitable level that was returned. Study has done on June-September 2006 at Kaliwungu village, sub district ofMandiraja. The method was used descriptive analysis for each characteristic sector and the account offeasibility. The financial result showed that manufacture of pink guava on Banjarnegara is worthy to develop. NPV on interest 16% in the amount of Rp. I 05.319.973,IRR 81 % and B/C ratio 1,06. Break event point reached at cost of product Rp. 13.842,- with production capacity 38.550 kg.

Abstract

The objective ofthis research was to measure management's performance by applying balanced scorecard. Balanced scorecard is a contemporary management tool used to upgrade organization's capability by multiplying financial performance. Balanced scorecard has 4 perspectives. These perspectives are financial perspective, customer perspective, process intern business perspective and learning and growth perspective. Data were collected by questionnaire and interview. Ninety nine customers and 25 employees ofW ARIS Cooperation were taken as samples. The results obtained from applying balanced scorecard were: (1) Financial perspective, ROI tends to increase, but revenue growth tends to decrease; (2) Customer perspective, patients' retention tends to increase, patients' acquisition tends to decrease, and patients have not satisfied enough with WARIS Coop• eration; (3) Process intern business perspective, cooperation's productivity tends to increase; (4) Learning and growth perspective, employees' retention tends to decrease, but employees' produc• tivity tends to decrease and employees have not satisfied enough with WARIS Cooperation.

industry which has very low economic value. The oil mostly used on paint and vernis industries, also as additive for feed. The oil contain omega-3 fatty acid about 19-23 % (Setiabudi, 1990 and Riyanto, 1995). The usage oflemuru precook oil on food industries has not been studied. Aim of this research was to study the usage ofliquid waste or by-product oflemuru canning industry for high value food product i.e. microencapsulation ofomega-3 rich fish oil and its consumers prefer• ence test. Experiment design used in the research was Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two factors treatments; encapsulant proponion gelatin-maltodekstrin (E)ofl : I, 1 : 2,2: 1 and 2: 3 (w/ w), and lemuru fish oil and encapsulants proportions (M) of 1 : 2 and I : 4 (v/w). The lemuru fish oil was prepared using method of Elizabeth (l 992), and its microencapsulation using method of'Kartika (2003). Variables observed were; water-content, total-oil, capsulated-oil content, uncapsulated• oil, FFA, Omega-3 fatty acid content, peroxide-number, microenkapsulation efficiency, yield, microenkapsule performance (textur), and consumers preference test (flavor and aftertaste ofoil). The physico-chemical data was analyzed using F Test and DMRTTest 5%, and the preference Test data analyzed using Friedman Test and Multiple Comparison Test (Dannie!, 1999). The best treat· ments combination was determined using effective Index Test (DeGarmo, Canada and Sullivan, 1998). Result of the research showed that treatment combination ofE4M I; i.e. treatments of proportion of2 : 3 (w/w) gelatin-maltodekstrin, and proportion of I : 2 (w/v) fish oil-encapsulant produced meicroencapsule with the best physico-chemical properties. The product has characteristics of: Omega-3 fatty acid content of20,95 percents (0,34 percents, linolenat acid, 3,35 per• cents, EPA, and 17 ,26 percents, DHA), total-oil of 18,376 percents, uncapsulated-oil of2,3 I 8 percents, microencapsulation efficiency of36,857 percents, water-content ofS,273 percents, FFA of3,249 percents, peroxide-number of 1,265 (meq/k.g), and yield of98,23 l percents. Based on the results, suggested that the advantage of encapsulation using freeze drier technique produce fish oil microencapsule with relatively low inwater content ( < 5 percents), and low Omega-3 fatty acid degradation (1-2 percents), however, its FFA content still high and sensory properties still not preferencesby consummers.

Abstract

Iodine fortification of brown sugar is an effort to improve variation ofiodized foods in preventing iodine deficiency disorders in Indonesia. This research aimed to: a) study the effect of fortification time(iodine addition) in iodized brown sugar processing on iodine retention in product; b) deter• mine the source ofiodine that suitable for iodine fortification ofbrown sugar; c) study the packaging type that can retain iodine stability of iodized brown sugar during storage; d) study the effect of iodized brown sugar usage in making of"kecap" (soy sauce) and "bumbu pecel" on product accep• tance according to sensory perception; e) study the effect of shelflife on iodine stability of'iodized "kecap" and "bumbu pecel". Results of this research showed that: a) fortifican (iodine) addition at 115 c cooking temperature produced iodized brown sugar with iodine-content higher than at cooking temperature of 11 O "C; b) stability ofKJ03 is better than Kl; c) polypropilene combined with silica gel or aluminum foil can be used as packaging material to retain iodine-content during storage; d) the use of iodized brown sugar in "kecap'' and "bum bu pecel" accepted by consumers sensorically; e) iodine stability in "burnbu pecel" is better than in "kecap". During three weeks storages, the decrease of iodine• content of"bumbu pecel" iodized with Kl is 36.46 percents, and that iodized with K103 is 11.14 percents. Furthermore, for "kecap'', the iodine-content decrease are 68.89 and 50.23 percents, respectively in "kecap" iodized with Kl and KlOr

Abstract

Rice is a strategic commodity on national food security system. Considering the on decreasing of national and world rice stock, the significance of giving much emphasis on rice reliability is increasingly apparent. This article describes the trend of Central Java rice production capacity and selfreliance. This analysis is based on statistics from BPS-Statistics of Jawa Tengah Province. For the last two decades, Central Java has been enhancing the rice self-reliance for the population. However, as the growth rate of rice productions is less than the growth rate of population, so trend of rice available per capita is decreasing. Harvested area and yield rate in some lowland rice areas is going on decrease. By sides, the total annual production and yield can not been continuously increased. Land conversion, water stress requirement, soil sickness, and infestation of pests and diseases are critical factors on increasing the rice production capacity. Intensification quality improvement program, extensive upland rice area, eliminate loses that caused by flood, drought, pests and diseases are strategic options. Social economic and institutional innovation, capital formation, and infrastructures should significantly support such scheme. To keep on those efforts, it is necessary to characterize the existing paddy area and the paddy potential zone based on production performance, its obstacles and problems. The characterization results could be a policy direction on determines the selective innovation, production factor, capital formation, and infrastructure needs.

Rendahnya gairah yang tidak menggeliatkan pasar grosir- pasar grosirdi Pekalongan dan sekitarnya mengakibatkan kekhawatiran Pekalongan dan sekitamya tidak dapat mengandalkan pasar grosir• pasar grosinnenjadi suatuandalan obyek kunjungan wisata belanja yang menjajakan produk unggulan daerah seperti produk-produk batik, konveksi, garmen,ATBM, dan kerajinan (handycraft) dari pelepah pisang, enceng gondok, akar wangi, dan tempurung kelapa, Hal ini berarti suatu kesulitan untuk lebih rnendukung dan mewujudkan positioning Pekalongan sebagai Daerah Wisata Belanja yang banyak dirnunculkan oleh para pendiri dan pengelola pasar grosir. Penelitian ini dilakukan di tiga pasar grosir di Kota Pekalongan dan Kabupaten Pekalongan dengan memfokuskan pada tingkat kepuasan pelanggan atas pelayanan-pelayanan termasuk pelayanan pembelian dan pelayanan tersedianya "konstelasi pasargrosir". Responden pada penelitian ini adalah pengunjung dan pedagang. Sedangkan aat analisis yang digunakan adalah Important Perfrmance Analysis. Out put dari penelitian ini adalah tingkat kepuasan pelanggan pada pasar grosir, baik pengunjung I pembeli · maupun pedagang, sera rekomendasi yang dapat dijadikan upaya-upaya dalam meningkatkan gairah / -upaya dalam meningkatkan gairah/kerarnaian pasar grosir- pasar grosir di Pekalongan dan sekitamya
