Abstract

According to Word Health Organization (WHO) data, infant mortality caused by Succedaneum Caput infection decreased by 0.05% from 4 million infants who died at 30 days (advanced neonatal). While in Indonesia the infant mortality rate due to infection of Caput succedaneum in 2013 amounted to 11% from 35 per 1000 live births. Goals: To have real experience in implementing Care of Newborn Gynecology Born on By. Mrs. S age of 1 day with Caput Succedaneum at Santa Elisabeth Lubuk Baja Batam Hospital in 2017. Method: Based on a case study on By. Mrs. S, the method uses Varney Midwifery Management approach, for data collection that is primary data consisting of physical examination include examination of caput extension, general condition, vital signs, and anthropometry. Result: Based on By case. Mrs. S with Caput Succedaneum performed handling and treatment for 4 days at Santa Elisabeth Hospital Batam. After the treatment of Caput Succedaneum and giving 20 gram Trombophop gel therapy, the baby's condition has improved and the caput problem has been resolved. Conclusion: Based on By case. Mrs. S after the management of Succedaneum Caput and minimize the removal of baby's head, the baby's condition has improved.

Abstract

Health is a very valuable capital, awareness of the value of this increasing adult health, where a lot of people willing to spend a huge amount of money to gain health.One of getting health care is to execute the exercise, the type of sports that are easily and safely recommended to all people, that sports a relaxing stroll.Because to do this kind of exercise does not require special skills and talents, as well as the usual done by everyone, both kids up to parent Methods: this research is a descriptive approach using correlation through measurement /hubungan Association (measures of association).As for the sample in this research is the Theological students Surya Nusantara Pematangsiantar with engineering Acidential the sample amounted to 20 people. Results: from the research found that the physical for the respondents who "walk" with a value of significan sistol 0.03, 0.01, 0.00 pulse diastol.And "rarely relaxed way" with a value of significan sistol 0.05, 0.03, 0.02 pulse diastol.And the resulting percentage to mental "rarely" with a value of percentage of 61.5%, and on the respondents who "often" with a value of percentage of 96.4%, thus found the presence of sports influence stroll against the physical and mental health. Conclusion: health is one of the main factors that affect the fitness of body and appearance, as well as the most valuable treasure that never exchanged by anything, then it is recommended to people to set aside time to do the motion body by doing sports a relaxing stroll.Because in a healthy body there is a healthy soul.

Abstract

Emergency Installation (IGD) is one of the main lines of help to clients. Therapeutic communication is required in dealing with clients with emergency situations. Therapeutic communication is the most important factor used to establish therapeutic relationships between nurses and clients.Goals : The purposed of this research to analyze therapeutic communication relationship of nurse with client satisfaction at IGD RS Santa Elisabeth Medan.Methods: This study used a cross-sectional approach with accidental sampling technique of 94 respondents.Result : Based on Fisher's Exact Test with p value = 0,018 <0,05 meaning there is significant relation between therapeutic communication of nurse with Client satisfaction at Emergency Installation of Santa Elisabeth Medan Hospital.Conlcution : To improve the excellent service to clients, it is expected that nurses will apply therapeutic communication and improve their skills to communicate by attending training or seminars.

Abstract

Hemorhoids are one of the most common gastrointestinal disorders found in everyday practice and are often the main differential diagnoses for almost all anorectal complaints. (murdani Abdullah 2014). Hemorhoid in pregnant women is common and is a physiological condition that accompanies pregnancy. Pregnancy will increase the incidence of hemorhoid, where more than 50% of pregnant women encountered this case. The risk will increase by 20-30% after the second pregnancy or more. Surgical treatment of hemorrhoidectomy is an option that must be taken by pregnant women if treatment conservatively fails. (Leliana Carolina; 2014).Goals : Able to perform Midwifery Care on Mrs.S Age 33 Years old Pregnancy age 33 Weeks 1 Day With Hemoroid Pregnancy At Elisabeth Hospital Medan in 2018 by using the varney midwifery management approach and solve the problem if there is a gap between practice and theory in pregnant women.Methods: Based on the case study on Mrs.S, the method used for data collection was primary data consisting of physical inspection appears there was swelling on the nus, the pain.Result: Based on case of Mrs.S with hemorhoids pregnancy done handling for 3 days in Elisabeth Hospital Medan. After handling the pain and giving therapy.Conclution : Midwifery care on Mrs.S with Hemoroid Pregnancy in its execution there is no gap between theory and practice in the field.

Abstract

The caring behavior of the nurse is the act of the nurse by showing compassion for the patient. Nurses who have caring for patients will establish interpersonal relationships so that patients feel comfortable, safe, and can improve their health.Goal: The purpose of this study is to find out how the description of caring behavior of nurses in patients in internal wards of Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan.Method: Design of this study is descriptif. Population of the study is all inpatients in internis wards of Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan. Sample is determined based on Slovin formula and obtained as much as 86 respondents.The sampling method used is probability sampling with random sampling type. Data collection techniques by distributing questionnaires directly to the respondents.Results: Results of this study is from 7 subscales obtained that the highest mean score is subscale assist in fulfillment of basic human need with score mean 3,45 and total mean score 3,17 in sufficient category.Conslution: Based on this study it can be concluded that the patient assessed the caring behavior of nurses in sufficient category of nursing care that has been given to the patient in the internal ward of Santa Elisabeth Hospital Medan.It is expected that the nurse will increase the caring and empathy in the patient.It is expected that nurses will increase caring and empathy to the patients by cultivating caring behavior through continuing education and practicing interpersonally.

Abstract

HIV infection and AIDS are the global public health problem. Having another sex partner may increase the risk of HIV infection. Goals : This study aimed to determine the effect of having another sex partner on the incidence of HIV infection in couples in Medan. Method: This was an analytic observational study with a case-control design. The study was conducted at RSUP H Adam Malik Medan, North Sumatera, from November to December 2017. A sample of 80 housewives was selected for this study by fixed disease sampling consisting of 40 HIV infected housewives and 40 HIV uninfected housewives. The dependent variable was HIV infection. The independent variable was having another sex partner. Results: The results of multivariate analysis demonstrated that husband’s occupation (OR = 6.223), having another sexual partner (OR = 6.823) Conclusion: Couples who have another sexual partner have an increased risk of HIV infection.

Abstract

.School health program is an effort to nurture and develop healthy habits conducted in an integrated manner through educational programs, health services and health care in the school environment. Goals: The purpose of this study is to identify the implementation of teacher’s evaluation about School Health Unit (UKS) program in the State Primary School No.060910 Medan 2017. Methods: The research is a descriptive study with a sample of 23 people is a teacher of elementary school No. 060 910 Medan 2017. Field data collection tool used was a questionnaire. Results: The results of this study obtained the overall implementation of the UKS program implemented fairly that is 56.5%. UKS implementation of school health education activities are carried out fairly, that is 62.5%, the activities carried out with sufficient health care, which is 65.2% and the activities of health coaching healthy school environment performing well, which is 73.9%. Conclusion: Puskesmas are expected to improve their cooperation and performance with schools in their work areas, especially in improving health services. Puskesmas with schools need to discuss the UKS activities plan that will be done in school, so that can be arranged schedule of implementation and their respective duties. Puskesmas are also expected to work together both in materials and ideas to improve the implementation of UKS in each school.

Abstract

Elderly in aging process experienced physiological decline and loss and grieving. This can make elderly vulnerable to stress. Stress can make elderly not productive and focus on his/her losing. Stress might causes loss of interest, feelings of failure, and restless in physically and emotionally. Stress can impact to anger, anxiety, depression, pathological symptoms, and psychiatric illness. Thus, it require effective ways to manage stress which is experienced by older adults. Nursing management in handling stress can be done with holistic approach which one is spiritual care. Strong belief can make powerful positive effect to mind and body and can bring comfort. Goals : This study aim to know the relationship between spirituality with stress elderly in Palembang. Methods: Survey analytic design with cross sectional approach had done to 72 respondents by purposive. Data have been taken by Religious Commitment Inventory (RCI) and Perceived Stress Scale (PSS) then analyzed by Pearson’s correlation. Results : Results showed mean of RCI 31,03 (moderate religious) with standard deviation 7,551 and PSS mean 20,47 (moderate stress level) with standard deviation 5,642. Bivariate result showed there was negative relationship between spirituality and stress (r= –0,267; p= 0,023). Conclusion: Therefore, holistic nursing care with spiritual approach can be done by nurse in education to elderly so they can enhance their spirituality as positive and effective stress management with more intense praying, increase holy scripture learning and social interaction with other people with positive religious practice and activity.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding is the first, main and best food for a natural baby. Asi contains various nutrients needed in the process of growth and development of babies. ) The efficacy of breast milk is so large as breast milk can reduce the risk of babies suffering from various diseases. If the baby is sick it will heal faster when getting breast milk. Breast milk also helps the growth and development of children's intelligence Goals: The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between family knowledge and support for mothers with exclusive breastfeeding. Methods: The research method used an analytical survey type with a cross sectional approach to 75 breastfeeding mothers who had babies aged 7-24 months. Data analysis was performed by univariate analysis to obtain an overview of each independent and dependent variable. Data will be presented in the form of distribution, frequency and bivariate analysis to determine whether there is a relationship between independent variables (categorical) and independent variables (categorical) using Chi Square Test. Results: The results of the study obtained the frequency distribution of respondents with good knowledge 45 people (60%), less knowledge of 30 people (40%), family support 33 respondents (44%), family support 42 respondents (56%), ASI actions Exclusive 17 respondents (22.7%), did not provide exclusive breastfeeding 58 respondents (77.3%). There is no relationship between mother's knowledge of exclusive breastfeeding (p-value 0.063). There is no relationship between family support for exclusive breastfeeding p = 0.063 and p = 0.098 (α = 0.05) means that there is no relationship between knowledge and family support for mothers with exclusive breastfeeding. Conclusion: It is recommended to the community especially to mothers and families to increase exclusive breastfeeding so that the baby's needs for breastfeeding are met, and the family continues to provide support for the mother to give the baby exclusive breastfeeding, further researchers use different and varied variables and dig deeper into the mother's attitude towards exclusive breastfeeding with direct interviews with nursing mothers.

Abstract

Hypertension in the elderly is characterized by an increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure of ≥ 140/90 mmHg persistently and often occurs in ± 55 years old elderly. Progressive Muscle Relaxation is one technique that can relax muscle tension and create a relaxed feeling that can lower blood pressure. Goals : This study aims to determine the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on blood pressure decrease in elderly with hypertension in Dusun IV Tanjung Anom Medan Year 2018. Methods : The design used design is one group pretest and post test design with purposive sampling method that is 28 respondents elderly who are in Dusun IV Tanjung Anom Medan. The Instruments used for taking data were SOP, observation sheet, stethoscope, sphygmomanometer Result : Data analysis showed the result of pre intervention blood pressure mostly on 1st degree of hypertension 16 people (57,1%) and post intervention mostly on 2 prehypertension were 13 people (46,4%). The result of Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test statistic shows that p = 0,000 (p <0,05) means the effect of progressive muscle relaxation on blood pressure drop in elderly with hypertension in Dusun IV Tanjung Anom Medan Year 2018. Conclutions : The result of this study is expected elderly able to apply this progressive muscle relaxation routinely.
