Abstract

Social Studies is the embodiment of an interdisciplinary approach to the social sciences. By integrating various branches of science, such as sociology, cultural anthropology, psychology, history, geography, economics, political science and human ecology, which are formulated in such a way that they can be connected and complement each other. Therefore, this article aims to find out more about the basic concepts of social studies contained in the world of education. The method used to collect data in this study is a qualitative method with a literature study approach. This study was conducted by collecting various kinds of data from books, magazines, newspapers, articles, books, documents and archives that were considered relevant. From this research, it is known that Social Science (IPS) is a study of knowledge that includes four dimensions, namely the knowledge dimension, the skill dimension, the values and attitudes dimension, and the action dimension. Then in the scope of social studies education is formed from a combination of history, geography, sociology and economics.

Abstract

K.H. Abdul Wahid Hasyim is one of the founding fathers of the Indonesian nation. His services, thoughts and dedication to Indonesia are unquestionable. With his family background and education, he has a visionary ambition to change the conservative education system in Islamic boarding schools and of course by not abandoning the priority religious education. This paper attempts to describe Wahid Hasyim's biography and examines his various thoughts on education as well as the content of his vision of reforming Islamic boarding school education. The method used in this study is the historical method with the following steps: heuristics, verification, interpretation and historiography. From this research, it was found that (1) The life journey of K.H. Abdul Wahid Hashim. (2) The way K.H. Abdul Wahid Hasyim in leading (3) Thoughts of K.H. Abdul Wahid Hasyim towards the reform of pesantren education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of Aisyiyah in the development of education in Pekanbaru City in 1975-2015, so as to find out the background of the establishment of Aisyiyah Pekanbaru. Aisyiyah as a special Autonomy organization for Muhammadiyah can foster women to be educated to become leaders, and be prepared to become administrators in Muhammadiyah women's organizations. Aisyiyah's presence in developing her educational role in Riau Province, especially in Pekanbaru City has produced strong cadres in organizing. Aisyiyah's presence in Pekanbaru is inseparable from the arrival of Muhammadiyah's understanding and thoughts. Aisyiyah is engaged in social, educational, health and religious fields. This research uses historical methods consisting of heuristics, verification, interpretation, historiography. Aisyiyah has activities with several programs, one of which is in the field of education, especially in Kindergarten (TK) Bustanul Athfal Aisyiyah, a program on worship that is guided by the Central Leadership (PP) in Jakarta on Kemuhammadiyahan and Keaisyiyahan. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded: The presence of 'Aisyiyah in Pekanbaru is inseparable from the arrival of Muhammadiyah's understanding and thoughts. The entry of the notion of renewal (Muhammadiyah) to Pekanbaru is the establishment of da'wah and trade interactions with the surrounding area. Aisyiyah in education is concerned with Islamic children's education, providing formal and non-formal education with noble character.

Abstract

This study aims to see the extent to which social attitudes and roles in the education unit environment are provided and provided through Social Science Education in the Bethel Dadap Basic Education Unit based on the curriculum journey and in the current digital era. This study uses a qualitative method using a document study instrument or can be called a literature study. The results of this study indicate that technological sophistication also has a negative impact on students, one of which is causing these students to have apathy. Although it is undeniable on the one hand, technological advances also provide various conveniences in human life. Therefore, in this case, it is very important to have cooperation between teachers and students' guardians in order to maximize the social studies learning process in schools so that it can be applied in social life. In addition, from this study it was found that the implementation of the social studies curriculum at Bethel Dadap Elementary School went well because it paid attention to every aspect of the social studies learning indicators.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has changed all aspects of human life. One of them is education. The government has launched a Learning From Home (BDR) policy to tackle the spread of COVID-19. This has an impact on the learning process and inculcating character values ​​among the younger generation. History learning certainly plays an important role in shaping the character of the younger generation and becomes one of the solutions to moral decadence during the pandemic. Therefore, history learning needs to be arranged creatively by innovating learning technology, one of which is Microsoft Teams. This article aims to describe a Microsoft Teams-based history learning model by incorporating learning technologies such as broadcast. This article is written with descriptive writing method. The theories used to analyze and develop this learning model include the concepts of understanding, feeling, acting, and the example of Ki Hadjar Dewantara; the Smart School and Good School concepts developed by Matthew Davidson, Thomas Lickona, and Vladimir Khmelkov; and the concept of Teaching Controversial Issues based on Thomas Lickona's research. The history learning model based on Microsoft Teams consists of several stages, namely Preparation of Learning Implementation Plans (RPP); Material Ray Making; Asynchronous Learning by sharing podcasts of material into Teams Classes; Synchronous Learning Discussing Rays; Synchronous Learning that Discusses the Perspective of Characters, Historical Actors, or Experts and Discusses; and Control of Character Guidance with Homeroom and Counseling Teachers. This model can be applied in history learning in an effort to inculcate character values ​​and competencies in the 21st century by inviting students to continue to plan and realize good plans for the better.
